“What a fabulous meal we had a Semma. Love the atmosphere with the thatched walls and ceilings, plus for a small restaurant, they really gave ample space between the tables in our section of the restaurant. Service was very warm, informative and attentive.Things we loved:Semma Sour - this is a fabulous drink. Highly recommendGunpowder Dosa - absolutely superb, generous and delicious. Accompanying chutneys were also fantasticLamb app - super savory, delicious little lamb bones in a nice pile really gave the meal a great startLamb shank - incredible. Soft as butter, phenomenal sauce.Stuffed peppers - amazing curry, a real highlight.Did not love the oxtail as it was frankly too fatty so 2 out of 3 bites were literally globs of fat. Not the chef's fault. I think we just misordered and should have opted for a fish dish instead.Would definitely return to Semma. Where we found Masalawala sort of ungenerou in the portions, Semma is more than ample. We look forward to returning if we can ever get a reservation again!“
“I was on a work trip and have very special eating needs and Hemant and staff really came through for me on very short notice!!! I will forever remember and HIGHLY recommend to anyone!!! Thank you Hemant and Staff for going above and beyond for me!! Darcy T.“
“Had not expected something like this during my US travel.Paani Puri assortment was many notch better than what we get in Mumbai.Vibes is all Deshi and representation of PAN India taste.Chandrakala Gujia popular sweet dish from Patna ,Bihar was another pleasant surprise.Vegetarian options: It's not just vegetarian but great taste and perfect blend of spices served with warmth. Loved the place and loved the food.“
“Decent food, but I was expecting more as it is a Michelin Star restaurant. We choose the Executive Lunch, Kashmir special. Food was good, but nothing that would blow your mind. The ambience was nice, staff was attentive and the drinks menu was good. A satisfying experience but makes you expect more.“
“Deccan Spice in Journal Square truly captures the essence of authentic Hyderabadi cuisine with their haleem. This rich, slow-cooked stew melds flavors perfectly, offering a taste that's both robust and nuanced. The meat is tender, the wheat is finely pounded, and the blend of spices culminates in a savory, heartwarming dish. It's a delightful experience for anyone craving traditional Indian flavors, and a must-try for lovers of hearty, spiced dishes.“
“From outside it looks like Small boutique Restaurant specializing in Indian cuisine & I just found it while roaming around streets of New York during recent visit & this accidental discovery didn't let me down, food quality & quantity both are amazing, owner is present almost from 11 am to 11 pm & staff is courteous, highly recommended as I visited all the sought after restaurants in town but this one stands out for the gourmet Indian food.“
“Sensational restaurant with such wonderful service and authentic Indian food. The proficient servers provided us with a marvellous experience on our special day. Fahad was an exceptional server who gave us with a wide variety of options and acclimated us to our specific needs. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this place.“
“We tried Indian Table for restaurant week and now we are hooked! The service was amazing and staff very knowledgeable about the food. Everything was explained to us and it felt very inclusive. The food was full of flavor and spices from the Portuguese and Indian regions. The drinks were amazing. I recommend to any one to try this place out!“
“If you’re from Maharashtra and are tired of substandard pav bhaji and vada pav at every Indian restaurant, then behold - this is the greatest pav bhaji you’ll find in the state.First up - they have the pav that is the closest to what you can get in Maharashtra. Soft and flatter - none of the buffed up nonsense being served up everywhere else. The bhaji itself is excellent and buttery.I’m going to have dreams about this dinner!Highly recommend trying out the gulab jamun as well. It’s made fresh and served hot! Excellent food and thoroughly enjoyed.“
“Ordered the Charred Chicken Bowl, and I must say, it was phenomenal. It had a flavour that was unbeknownst to me in a bowl. The coconut ranch mixed with the habanero sauce, really do create a unique flavour profile. Also, the chicken marination was something that was brand new to me. Do give it a try!“
“Fantastic home made food. By far the best authentic food I have had . Absolutely phenomenal. The food was not too oily, had freshness and depth in flavor and was delivered to the table with a smile, this indeed felt like homemade food. Amazing work! I will be back again and again.“
“We came here for on a weekday for lunch and got seated right away. Initially we wanted to order off the lunch special menu but be advised the lunch special menu is for take-out only! We ended up ordering the Tikka Masala, Mango Lassi, and Lamb Vindaloo. The food was very flavorful and delicious! Our server was great and friendly. Highly recommend!“
“Wow, this was one of the best meals I've ever had. Every dish was perfectly cooked, seasoned and presented. The flavors were subtle and delicate and each bite was exquisite, you could tell the chefs cared deeply about their food. I am blown away.“
“Best Birayani & more is your go-to spot for mouthwatering biryani. Their aromatic biryani, whether chicken or lamb, is a must-try. But it's not just about biryani—the butter chicken and paneer tikka masala are equally delicious. With generous portions and friendly service, Best Birayani & more is your ticket to a flavor-packed Indian feast.“
“I come to Bombay all the time! This is my favorite Indian food in the financial district / downtown area. I recommend the chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and mango lassi. Christopher is amazing! He is always so helpful, friendly, and kind whenever we’re there. Definitely check this place out if you love Indian food.“
“Actually looked for a good indian restaurant near macys and so happy we dined here. It definitely was very delicious and the owner helped us with our orders. We loved our appetizer that he suggested and when we commented on how good it was, he brought us another. Butter chicken was great along with garlic naan. Can't wait for the next time we can visit again. Iris and emilyVegetarian options: Serves lots of veggie choice including the use of delicious pomegranates“
“First time visiting this restaurant and it was great! The owner is a very pleasant, hospitable and a kind guy. Went above and beyond to cater to our needs. Food was very good and the owner, as mentioned, was very accommodating.W restaurant; would go again.“
“Food is so delicious with so many options to choose from North and South Indian dishes that are also Halal ! Waitress Vinitha is very friendly and respectful we love her. Bring your family and friends :) I had the lamb butter masala and butter naan 10/10 recommend also if you love sweets like I do try the gulab jamun warm and sweet and the mango lassi is refreshing!“
“Their food and catering is constantly delicious, we have been ordering and eating in here for close to 1.5 years. Their flavors are closest to Delhi. Love their Dal Bukhara, Pandara Road Butter Chicken, Paneer Dilruba and Kur Kuri Bhindi. Their kebabs are amazing too, specially malai and haryali.“
“Saw this place in social media and I knew I had to try it, so I did and it did not let me down. The concept is a blend between mexico and India but the food if absolutely fantastic and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended to try! They have two locations, one in Hells Kitchen and another in Greenwich Village.“
“Well well, this was on my bucket list. It is located conspicuously at the Washington Park. If you take a walk around you will spot their truck. The wait time was average 2 hours. Dosa tastes aa dosa but the experience is worth standing in the line.It is closed on Sundays and other days open between 11am to 3pm.“
“Recently started ordering from here and have tried the tandoori chicken bowl. It’s sometimes a bit too salty but usually pretty good. My only complaint is that they charge you for sides of sauce which I am totally fine with but they barely put any sauce in the container. If you are going to charge people for sauce you should at least fill the container. They ran out of white sauce one day and instead of letting us know they just sent a different sauce (not sure what it was) and still charged for it. Not the end of the world and again I do not mind being charged extra for sauce but it would have been nice to have a heads up. Good place for a quick bite and they are open late!“
“I like Indian food and have eaten it all over the world. I have to say that Rudra was one of the best Indian restaurants I've ever had the pleasure to eat at. The food was excellent in every way and the portions were generous. Definitely try the Chicken Makhni (butter chicken).“
“Met work colleagues for dinner here. The restaurant felt warm and cozy. The service was good; The food was even better. We had a different array of appetizers (tandoori chicken, vegetable samosas, chicken samosas, crispy okra, masala shrimp cocktail, and paani puri), followed by our main courses which were exceptional as well ( butter chicken, chicken biryani, string beans, chicken curry). Don't skip on dessert; the sticky toffee pudding was to die for. It was a night of full bellies and laughter. Will be definitely be coming back and adding it to my rolodex of restaurants.“
“The perfect dinner for a winter evening. My girl would not have the Indian flag dish - chicken Tika Masala anywhere else. And they have Thai Tom Yum soup. Freshly baked Nasn, attentive service, highly recommended!!!Parking: Come at 7, meters run out.“
“I went to Ambo yesterday with my friend and we had a great afternoon hanging out at their lower east side location. The bowls were delicious with a great combination of grains, vegetables and proline. The food was light but filling and we were set for the whole day of scouting the city. The owners were around and we had a great time talking and hearing more about their business. Loved how passionately and lovely the food is made here.“
“Boy, are we happy to have chosen this place! We both ordered chicken tikka masala and it was soooo delicious. So delicious we have to let everybody know. So if your in the financial district area and in the mood for Indian food - this is where you should head to.“
“The food was excellent and also the service!! We got the mussels which were in a delicious sauce, of course the Crunchy cauliflower AMAZING, shrimp curry naan bread and rice was super delicious too !! Biryani and the short ribs also were really tasty! And great selection of wines and drinks ? !! The place was beautiful and clean, This became one of my favorite spots for anytime in the city!!“
“The Chana Puri here was delicious; they serve a big bowl of chana with three puris, pickle, chopped onion, and a gulab jamun as a dessert. The ambiance was quite good, and the hygiene standards were maintained. If you're looking for Indian food near Lower Manhattan, this place comes highly recommended. Must-tries include Chana Puri (also known as Chole Bhature), Pav Bhavji, and Dosas.“
“I recently visited Goa and had a fantastic dining experience. From the start, I was impressed by the stylish and modern ambiance of the restaurant. The staff (Andres, Jane) were extremely friendly and attentive, and our server (Christian) was knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations tailored to our dietary restrictions. To start off our meal, we had the Chorizo Chili Fry, which was incredibly flavorful and delicious. The Lamb Bao was also a standout dish, with wonderfully marinated lamb and pickled red onion that provided a perfect balance of texture and flavor. The dish that stole the show, however, was the Charcoal Butter Chicken, with a side of the Red Chili, Garlic and Coriander Naan. The Chef's take on this classic dish was truly exquisite -- the best I've ever had in NYC -- and will always keep me coming back for more. Overall, I highly recommend Goa. The food was outstanding, and the whole experience was top-notch. The service was excellent, and the attention to detail was evident in every aspect of our meal. I can't wait to come back and try more of their delicious offerings.“
“Are you missing the real Indian tandoori wings? Look no more! This is your den! I have never eaten such delectable and juicy tandoori wings in the US. Besides, their chicken and mutton biryani are the stars of the menu! It’s amazing how their biryani flavors are not overpowering, but yet strong enough to take you back to some of the best biryani places you would’ve tried in India! We only get biryani from here. Love their food!P.S.: Do not miss the samosas as they go unnoticed in most places. They are my hot favorite here! I always end up ordering a few extras because they are so good!!As a feedback, I would suggest that they add clear directions outside the restaurant. It’s hard to spot this place even with the Google maps on.“
“We came here for dinner on a Sunday night and it was good. We ordered the following:Raj Kachori ChaatChinese BhelChicken SizzlerChicken AchariOverall all the dishes were flavorful and had a spicy kick to the dishes. There was definitely flavor and quantity was be than enough. Will come here again next time. Thank you!“
“The chicken tikka masala and the naan feels authentic and is just a comforting but binge worthy meal to have. Their tandoori chicken wings are quite good as well. The naan tacos are better than the roti tacos cuz the rotis just disintegrate when you add all the toppings. Love all their chutneys as well!“
“One of the best Indian restaurants around! The food is hot and delicious, the service is amazing, they made me feel comfortable, I felt very homely. 100% Bengaluru Vibe. Love it! This is the go-to place if you're looking for great Indian food!“
“We dine in at this restaurant in a group, they are all very friendly people and they brought the food on time. Nabin was our server he was very friendly. I was would like to recommend my friends and colleagues to visit the restaurant if you are near New Jersey area. Ask for a NAbin as a server. We will definitely visit the place again in future. Thanks!!“
“Heard so much about Rowdy Rooster and finally made it here. We came on a weekday for dinner and it wasn't too crowded, we were able to grab a seat. There are also standing room for a quick bite as well. The place was so adorable! Everything was so colorful and the walls and even the ceiling was decorated with colorful roosters. Our cashier was really helpful in helping us decide what to get bc it's our first time here. She said the thigh meat was better in the sandwich and indeed it was one of the best chickens I have ever had. It was so crispy but so tender on the inside. Loved the sandwiches so much bc it was full of Indian spices too! The mango lassi was amazing, definitely comparable to any sit-down Indian restaurant. We also had a hard time deciding what sauce to get and she gave us a complimentary sauce in addition to the one we bought, so we got to try both sesame yogurt and mint chutney, which were both delicious! I wish this place was closer to where we live, I would totally get take out here all the time!“
“I had the pleasure of dining at Baar Baar in NYC, and I must say, it was truly one of the most exceptional dining experiences I've ever had. The food surpassed all expectations with its exquisite flavors and impeccable presentation, while the service was nothing short of commendable. Our server, Samantha, went above and beyond to ensure our evening was nothing short of perfect. Her warm hospitality enhanced our entire dining journey.Samantha skillfully guided us through the menu, recommending a selection of outstanding dishes and delightful drinks that elevated our experience to new heights. We were so impressed by the culinary craftsmanship that we felt compelled to express our gratitude to the chef personally. Every dish was a masterpiece, but the malai tikka deserves special mention for its unparalleled tenderness and flavor that simply melted in the mouth. And let's not forget the butter chicken, which was nothing short of fantastic.Overall, Baar Baar left an indelible mark on us, setting a new standard for fine dining in NYC. I can't wait to return and indulge in their culinary delights once again“
“Excellent flavors and authentic level of spice. We got the curry chicken, biryani, and potato samosas. When we went it was just one chef in the kitchen who also takes the order. With that long of a line he never exuded anything but calm. Respect to this master !“
“Taste is awwwwwsome I highly recommend this Golconda chimney restaurant for Indian food I really enjoyed the food after long time I hope this is going to be second Shagh house of Biryani in this location the food I ordered chicken biryani with spcl chef made I got chicken 65 with dum biryani staff also very polite and receiving the ppl awesome thank you Golconda Chimney.“
“Visited restaurant last Saturday (Dine-in) & Thursday (Pickup). On Saturday, We called at 6:30 pm but there was no reservation available until 8:30 pm for 5 ppl. But, we waited and luckily got the table after 1 hr itself. we tried steamed Paneer Momos (Tasty), Tandoori Chicken (Tasty), Chili Garlic Naan with Sham savera curry (Tasty), Goat Curry (More bones), Rasmalai (Not good), Carrot Halwa (Good).. but they took at least 20-30 min to get each item to the table, including deserts. Prices are not very reasonable, but the quantity of curries felt less for the price.Since I liked Paneer momos that day, I ordered fried paneer momos on Thursday to go.. taste was ok-ok. So, overall, I felt it's worth trying, but taste is inconsistent for the price, and don't go when you are very hungry.“
“The masala isn’t saucy enough with how much rice they had underneath. You had to eat a lot of plain rice if you wanted to finish all. The quinoa substitute option was good (I did half quinoa and would recommend substituting out all). The masala itself tastes good though. The mango lassi is small but very tasty! Would recommend! The naan is meh and the yogurt addition to go with it is tiny, so would not recommend them.“
“Thankful for having an Indian place in Chelsea market. Definitely has a nice look with some cool Indian decor, but the food was mediocre. I ordered a biryani and while the spice/aroma balance was good, the taste was not. This may be an unfair comparison, given we just had biryanis (both Veg and Chicken).Vegetarian options: Lot of vegetarian options, both starters and mainsWheelchair accessibility: Accessible by wheelchair“
“Visited this truck on a very cold day and had a long train ride home and evening was still very warm and fresh when I got to enjoy. I had the chicken tikka over yellow rice with white sauce and chimichurri and it was delicious. Flavors were fantastic and portion was great! A little spicy just FYI for anyone sensitive to spice but I loved it without adding additional hot sauce.“
“Beautiful and happy place to spend time with your loved ones. I tried some new drinks, as mint masala has started with new drink menu specials the fruity wine punch , my friends and myself have shared different drinks and believe me it was mind blowing and so refreshing.“
“The restaurant provides excellent service with attentive staff, offering a diverse menu that caters to various tastes. The food is consistently flavorful, well-presented, and showcases quality ingredients. The ambient environment enhances the overall dining experience, creating a pleasant atmosphere for patrons.“
“When they say "Very Spicy" on the Glass Window. You've been warned. Whatever happens afterwards is no one's fault....The moment you step in here, you can feel the sting of the spice. You come here to feel the burn from your mouth, down the esophagus and into your stomach.“
“I recently dined at "Dilli bistro" in New York, and it was a delightful experience. The Chicken Tikka Masala was perfectly spiced, and the Paneer Tikka was a treat. The service was excellent, and the Gulab Jamun dessert was the perfect finish. A must-visit for Indian food lovers in the city!“
“LOVED IT! This Indian Resturant has a unique upbeat vibe. and a friendly staff. Expect A more modern glimpse of the culture with light decor and current music. Very clean. Reasonable prices.. allowing us tasty appetzers and a fresh mango lasse! Generous portions. Most importantly the food was freshly prepared and expertly seasoned and tasted it. They also have a terrific, reasonable lunch buffet.! A+++++! Can't say enough. So glad they are here..Parking: It is located in a strip mall with ample parking.“
“The mac and cheese was pretty good here, and the portion size was quite large considering this was a $5 side. Ate here pretty late at night, but the food came out very quickly. Shoutout to Hadisha (server), who provided exceptional service, very fast and great energy. The place was crowded even then, lively and a retro 80s vibe. Perfect place to take your friend after a breakup so he can eat his feelings. Only complaint is that the mac and cheese sauce was a little watery (enough that this is really more of a 4.5/5 than a 5/5) (maybe because they usually add fried chicken to it that soaks up excess moisture?), so be aware of that if you favor gloppy mac and cheese.“
“In the mood for Indian food we saw that Kamal Palace had really good reviews. All in, it was worth the trip. The food was not great but it was good. The samosas were a tad oily and the curries were not as flavorful as I would have hoped. However, the service was great and the price can’t be beat. Seriously, we ordered two apps, two dinner plates, and two orders of naan and it came to about $50!“
