“I went here for my birthday! I had a pot of steamers as an appetizer and they were delicious, and served traditionally with the broth and hot butter. Then I had a 1 1/4 pound steamed lobster (with more hot butter) which came with corn (yes, I dipped it in butter) and cole slaw. Perfectly cooked! I'd love to make it there again this summer, it's always such a seasonal treat.”

The tomahawk steaks looked absolutely delicious. After lunch we walked across the street to their butcher shop and purchased an incredible double cut pork chop. Just cooked that on my grill and it was fantastic!”

“The service was attentive and the atmosphere was pleasant. Even though the food was good, we were surprised that the entrees did not include a pasta or vegetable.
For example, the veal parmigiana did not come with pasta and the pork chop had no potato or vegetables. The entrees were priced above average, so the least expensive components should have been included and not treated as a side for an extra charge.
For this reason, we will not be returning.”

“Came here a few times over the years and was never disappointed. It's about 40 minutes away but worth the drive. It's been there over 100 years so they must be doing something right. The dinning room is relatively small but it works. The service is great and the food is very good. Try not to carve your initials in the wooden booths. There's not much space left anyway. LOL”

“A little confusing to locate; the sign for Black Anchor is on the wall of the stall for Crepes & More. Even when mapping it and standing practically in front of it, we had difficulty finding this. Being avid coffee drinkers, we came to this boardwalk ONLY for this coffee house, which wasn't a house at all, just a stall. There's no seating. I'm not sure if this was formerly just a coffeehouse and they've changed directions with their business? The coffee was good.”

“When you get iced coffee they offer regular ice or a coffee ball. It’s a ball of frozen coffee so it doesn’t water down your drink as it melts. It was good. I also had a pumpkin muffin. It would be nice if there was a mocha on the menu though.”

As a lesbian 🌈 couple, we also felt very welcomed. As sometimes, we have experienced unwelcoming energy, as some establishments. This just felt like being at home and WE truly appreciate that ❤️🙏🏼.

We ordered the egg whites, bacon w/ home fries. These were so yummy!! We also got the short stack. Pancakes were delicious too.

Yes, as others mentioned, price is a bit higher then your average dinner but then again, YOU'RE RIGHT ACROSS the street from the beach. So it kinda makes sense..
We plan on returning because overall, being treated w/respect, in a cute and cozy place with YUMMY, Fresh food, and delicious coffee, is worth the extra pennies.”

I need to also give a special shoutout to whoever was dressed as the Easter bunny on March 28 around 1:00 pm. He was so good with our party with multiple babies. He came to the table a few times, took a picture with our family, and held the babies for pictures. He made the day very special for our family!!”
