I know these folks here are known for their “best of NJ” Taylor Ham ;not pork roll ( almost forgot where I was) and cheese. I’ve had it here before and I do believe it is incredible and stands up to the claims. However… the cheesesteak they make here may not be getting enough love. “This is such a great place. The food is wonderful the atmosphere is great and service is out of this world. I would recommend if your sick or just a soup lover to get their chicken and rice soup. Its thick and hearty with shredded chicken. The fresh mozzarella is like 10 dollars for this small ball but worth it. They make great spaghetti sauce and have wonderful sandwiches too but I'm cutting back on bread so I can't say I've had them that much“

“The wife and I had a busy day and we were hungry. Fast food seemed to be the choice until we passed by this place by chance on Stevens Avenue. We stopped in, looked at the choices and decided to give them a try with their special and an eggplant Parm that looked real good. We walked out not bloated, satisfied and pining to come back next week. We spent about $35 ( not including tip). Again. An value unheard of in the city. As a newbee from the city to Little Falls, I can not believe the quality of the food these two put out. It is on par with the city and way, way, way better priced. This is a place to go to every other week, if not more. “Dinner report from Nov 25th. After turkey on Thanksgiving, we needed an Italian meal for our family of four and Vitale's delivered. Serving dinner on the weekend, the deli is transformed into a trattoria courtesy of black linen tablecloths and black screens which hide the refrigerated deli cases from view. The "Spiedini" is a must order from the list of starters. The specials are super - we quite enjoyed chicken and veal dishes - but the fish and shellfish are where the restaurant shines. On this night the lobster ravioli were served with the both shrimp and scallops. The service is both friendly and efficient. Water glasses are kept filled and BYO wine is opened promptly. We will return to this gem of a restaurant!“

“If you love quirky places with good food at cheap prices you'll fall in love with the Road House Deli on Myrtle Avenue in Boonton! Talk about a hole in the wall place! There is wonderful Polish food made fresh, just like in Mama's kitchen if she was a good and interested cook. There's a table full of individually wrapped Polish pastries and they sell coffee, tea and food to go. Along the side wall are four tiny vintage booths so you can eat here in comfort. Today was my first time and the potato pancakes were large and tasty, the pirogies were excellent and the owner put extra onions on top just like in Poland. We also had the meatballs with rice stuffing and gravy and real Kielbasa. Warren, a frequent lunch customer (Several times a week) was so enthusiastic. He eats one lunch in the Road House Deli and takes home a second for his dinner. Warren said to try the creamy horseradish dressing on the potato pancakes. He also says he comes every Tueaday for the special spinach casserole which says is excellent. I'm recommending the Road House Deli for good home style cooking, low prices and talk about local color. There is a must be at least 60 year old phonograph and hundreds of LP albums. You choose what you want to hear, put the record on the phonograph and get the music you want without having to pay a jukebox fee. Now how cool is that?“

“I stopped at Mimi’s on my way back to NC last month on 10/29/23. I am originally from NJ and wanted to take home bagels since I haven’t been able to find a really good bagel spot in NC. This space was cozy and warm and smelled so good! The staff/owner was attentive and friendly. I ordered a bagel with pastrami and egg and assorted bagels to take home. The bagels were huge, fresh and absolutely delicious! I remember thinking that day as I walked to my car that I should go back in and get more?. I highly recommend this spot. “A walk into Otto's is a walk back into the past when neighborhoods had small businesses and everyone knew one another. But one thing didn't change. The high quality and authentic homemade German salads, delicious sandwiches, German specialties and frozen treats (for the Bogue Pond playground visitors) are tallied up the old fashioned way by Helmut, the owner, with a pencil on your bag. There's even an old hand-cranked cash register to make your change. I've been a customer over 30 years, and highly recommend. We need more places like Otto's Deli.“

My bf has been coming here for years and swears by this deli as one of the best around.This mom and pop deli is not much to look at from the outside.They have free parking out front with several spots they share with another business.Once inside you can see why they call this place The Parsippany Deli/ Emerald Gifts aka The Irish Deli.As soon as you walk in the front door, they have a glass counter that displays beautiful China from Ireland. They sell teas, marmalade, sausages, bacon, black and white pudding, Irish candies, also Brennan's bread.During the month of March they make and sell homemade Irish Soda Bread.As you make your way to the front counter you will meet owner Eddie, and Avril. They were both very friendly and told me about their business. Posted on the counter is their sandwich and salad menus.The Parsippany deli/Emerald gifts has been in business for 50 years, now I know why. Their prices are reasonable, and everything is homemade. They also do catering.They roast all their own meats like Roast Beef, Turkey Breast, and Baked Virginia Ham. I highly suggest getting a half of a sub. It’s as big as most whole subs.This place doesn’t skimp on their meats, just the opposite.When I got home and opened up my sub I was pleasantly surprised, and couldn’t believe how much meat was on it. It was probably one of the best Italian subs I’ve ever had and I’ve been all over for subs.I ordered their Italian Sub - Ham, Salami, Capocollo they call it Hot Ham, and Cheese. I got mine with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mayo, oil and vinegar. It was really delicious. I wound up eating a half of a half and saved the rest for later.My bf ordered their Roast Beef n American Cheese Sub. The Roast Beef was cooked perfectly rare and piled on the sandwich with lettuce, tomato, oil and vinegar. He enjoyed it so much he ate the entire thing.I also ordered 2 of their homemade salads.
