“Suburbs living means finding everything new again. I must say, we are so happy to have found a solid Mexican place!! We've been ordering take out from here for the past 2 years and every thing is always so great. Tacos: delicious, homemade tortillas, and a large portion. Enchiladas: so flavorful, delicious, and large portion as well. You name it, they nail it... burritos, empanadas, sope, sopas, and more! Wondering why I didn't give it 5 stars if I'm clearing raving about their food excellence.. honestly it's the service to a degree. Every time we call to order with either it's a pick up or delivery it always feels like they're rushing you, all over the place, or unsure of the address. It's almost comical because we don't end up having an issue with the food, but the actually interaction leaves you with the suspense of.. did they write down my order right or something has to go wrong... The place itself is a small hole in the wall with a few tables. I've seen some people dine in but it's definitely more of your take out restaurant. Either way, I'm here for it and truly enjoy ordering from them all the time.“

“First, the great: order the chilaquiles for brunch. It’s a great non-traditional “elevated” take that retains all the beloved parts of the dish: the soggy-crunchy texture, the fried egg. The twists made sense, from the creamy non-spicy salsa to the hearty beans and mole crunch. It appeals to Americans’ preference for creamy foods. Also, if you can handle a bit of heat, order anything with salsa macha, a slightly spicy smoky-nutty chili oil.The bad: temperature and texture. It felt like most of the food sat at the counter for a long time before they got delivered to our table, or they didn’t even bother to cook the food. The tuna tostada and spring pea tlayuda sat on a soggy, leathery base. The chilaquiles did not touch the stove, just a bunch of chips tossed in sauce. The tacos arrived pretty close to room temp. Flavors were pleasant, but I expected something more intense or interesting from a Michelin place.Overall, the food’s pretty darn good for the price despite the flaws.“

I have brought so many friends here because it is perfect from anywhere to a date night to a chill lunch/dinner to catch up with friends. Their cocktails are amazing especially their version of an espresso martini. All of the staff is so friendly and always make sure you're taken care of at all times. On top of everything and most importantly the food is AMAZING. Although I am not vegan anymore, I still can call this my favorite restaurant because they do everything on their menu so well and it's rare in my experience where vegan food is indistinguishable from non-plant based food and my favorite is the enchiladas mole. “Folks from California in particular like to complain that New York doesn't have good Mexican food, which is of course patently untrue. You just have to know where to look, what to order. I got the poblano mole here which I would definitely recommend. (I also had the handmade tortillas with this.) My husband got a burrito, which was fine, I think, but no "mission burrito" (IYKYK). Both of us had clean plates though -- the testament of a good meal I thought the salsas that came with the chips and salsa were all pretty good too. Nothing was mind blowing but the service was super friendly and I walked away with my food cravings pretty satisfied.“

“After being delighted by our first Los Tacos No 1 experience, we headed to Los Mariscos for our last food stop before leaving NYC. We ate it on the bus, so my memories are a bit blurry. The ceviche especial ($7.50) was delicious! I loved the crispy tostada and the savory citrusy flavors. I think there could've been a higher seafood:vegetable ratio, but the flavors and textures made up for the sparse amount of seafood.I tried the tacos a bit past their peak, but they were still pretty good. Octopus tostados are heavenly, I have no idea what all it consist of but they are delicious. There are three, I can't eat more than two but the last is always enjoyed by someone else at the table. Burrito are a staple for my lunch/dinner... so fresh and comforting. AND I'm not really a fan of most Mexican food but this is on a whole other level. I just finished a salad of shrimp, avocado, mango, cherry tomato, with paper thin fennel shredded on top. The tostada was crispy with a flavorful avocado topping and the quesadilla just barely visible under the mountain of Al pastor. My michelada was nice but I'd give the agave wine margs a pass if you're a marg purist. Juan Carlos took great care of us. On hand just when we needed with what we needed, friendly, and left us plenty of time to chow and digest before sending us on our merry way. All of them were pretty good. I wish I remembered the names of them but the blue cup with the pink outside was one that was my favorite. By far the ceviche was bomb. The guac a little bit of flavor for me, but mixing it with the ceviche made that even pretty darn good. Really enjoyed the fish taco over the other two pictured. we got the Maduros which were fresh and yuka fries. we also got the octopus which I thoroughly enjoyed. The chipotle, shrimp in the pineapple was honestly not my favorite. My friend really enjoyed it as he enjoyed sweet dishes, but it was too sweet for me. Overall, I definitely recommend a place. “Sloppy and yummy Mexican tacos. So so so good! The taste was great, so flavourful. The soup next to it was perfect. I would highly recommend this place. Price was a little steep for my understanding but maybe that’s just the area. Friendly staff, cute atmosphere and great taste. What a dinner! Be prepared to get your hands dirty!“

“lovely hidden gem on Avenue A between 13th and 14th streets. The place is family owned and operated and the food is to do for. It is reasonably priced, I often find myself trying to figure out if I want a tamale or a shredded beef or pork taco.“

Me and the fam got to try the tenders(hugee), ribs, rotisserie chicken, burgers, general tsos and chopped cheese sandwich and OH MY was it DELICIOUS. The people here were also very friendly and accommodating, they also had good music playing in the background. Definitely recommend this spot to anyone in or out of town. “We were looking for a drink spot in Williamsburg with a nice sunset view and we may have stumbled on the best one in the neighborhood. People were very nice, the outdoor seating comfortable, our margaritas excellent but the reason to come here is for the amazing views. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and it's breathtaking from just about any vantage point. Expect this to become impossible to get into as the weather warms up - also curious to try the food, which looked the part but we didn't have a chance to try.“

“Service was really great, all of the different positions of staff were very attentive! Go for the guac and 7 salsas, will not disappoint. The criticisms, I had were surrounding the price points, and menu variety. The prices were absolutely too high for the portions! I understand a small, curated menu, but it was too eclectic for what it was!“

“I have been dining at La Flor since they first opened a while ago. Chef Viko is very creative and does a regular menu plus seasonal specials. He uses farmer’s market ingredients and is very generous with the portions. Expect to see very colorful and tasty combinations. The core of the menu here is Mexican food with French and Italian notes. The home made pastries and desserts are a solid plus to the dining experience. The wine list has Ben carefully selected and the moderate prices don’t sacrifice the quality. In all, La Flor is one of my favorites in New York City.Vegetarian options: Salads, seasonal veggies.Dietary restrictions: The chef is very knowledgeable and kind and is willing to accommodate special requests.Kid-friendliness: Family place and everyone is welcome.“

“Embarking on a culinary expedition to this local taqueria, I found myself ensconced in a veritable fiesta of flavors and textures, a testament to the prowess of the owner, Jose, whose recommendations became the lodestar of our gastronomic journey. The Steak a la Mexicano Tacos were a triumph of generosity, with portions scoring a robust 9/10, each bite a harmonious blend of succulence and spice, though the freshness fluttered at a 7/10, leaving a slight yearning for the zest of just-plucked produce. The Chicken Fajita Quesadilla was a vibrant tapestry of flavor, meriting an 8/10, with the cheese melting into the well-seasoned chicken in a decadent embrace, though the ingredients, while robust, hovered at a 7/10, occasionally lacking the punch of peak harvest vivacity. The Barbacoa Soup was a simmering cauldron of comfort, its depth and complexity cocooning the soul in warmth, yet it too danced around the 7/10 mark for freshness, suggesting a slight detour from the garden's embrace. The service, however, was unparalleled, a perfect 10/10, with staff moving with the precision and grace of seasoned culinarians, ensuring every need was anticipated and met with a smile.Presentation was an 8/10, each dish a canvas where color and form played in delightful harmony, inviting the eye to feast long before the palate. Overall, the experience was a solid 8.5/10, a delectable sojourn that promises to beckon the taste buds back to its doors. This taqueria, under the sage guidance of Jose, melds tradition with a hint of modernity, crafting an ambiance where each visit unfurls new layers of culinary delight.“
