Overall I would recommend for special occasions.“
“The delectable menu offered a range of top quality foods, from generic steaks to exquisite salads, the menu was a step above most eateries. There was ample wait staff, the service was top notch. Very little wait time. Our medium rare steak was the right amount of medium and the right amount of rare. The cauliflower soup was bursting with flavor as was the tuna tartar. Overall it was an excellent experience & the "tasting menu" was excellent bang for the buck.“

“Pleasantly surprised, I went with my family to celebrate my parents 33rd wedding anniversary and we loved it! Service was exceptional and the food was delicious, perfectly seasoned and we thought the variety was good. I would choose this over the “nicer” looking chain Brazilian stakes house at the mall any day. Special thanks to our waiter, the older gentleman passing the meats (forgot his name but he was so sweet) and Jonatan also passing meats were very attentive the made our time even more special!“

“Great filet mignon - waiter said it comes with string bean but nothing on the side just steak with truffle sauce. Was a hearty portion and cooked perfectly. Not cheap expect to pay 70+ just for steak but quality was perfect. Wines weren’t that expensive. I’d go back to try their prime rib. In comparison Ruth Chris charges a little less for steak but upsells the wines.“

“Excellent experience here! From welcoming us to our table through dessert, great attentive service. Cocktails were well made and their red sangria is always a great idea! Try the Boulevardie Negoni. Packs a slight punch and refreshing. Our appetizers were the grilled octopus and shrimp in garlic sauce - both excellent! For dinner, I had a huge swordfish steak, lightly blackened and grilled perfectly. My wife had the stuffed lobster, and our friends had paella - loaded with seafood. Dessert choices were several cake selections, chocolate mousse and flan. Finished off with Segovia coffee (adds "43" Quarenta y Tres cordial liquor) and all was great! “Place is an absolute diamond in the rough. The food was fantastic, and extremely reasonably priced. Went with 4 friends, had almost every appetizer (which we left nothing behind). Unlike most steakhouses, this place has a more relaxed vibe (ok to wear a hoodie and be comfortable), and also delivered better steaks than I've had a white glove establishments. 1000% recommend, this type of place is not easy to find anymore and needs to be visited. Also met Kathie and Glenn (siblings), who were extremely hospitable and truly know how to show customer appreciation. Will be going back, and bringing more folks to experience with me for sure!“

“I totally underestimated this restaurant. I offered to take my mom to dinner and what started as a family of 4 turned into a party of 10. I called the restaurant and even though they do NOT do reservations they advised me of the best time to call to get our name on the list. It worked out perfectly. My party of 10 was seated at 5:59pm per my 6pm quote, during a time (Saturday Night) when the average wait time was 2 hours. We were seated together as requested and our server Drew was AWESOME. Our party size was that of two large booths and he handled things amazingly. He was patient, took our orders, checked on us often, and our orders were perfect. Apps came on time, dinner right after and our drinks were never empty. Drew was the best, considering all the chaos of a busy restaurant on a Saturday night, with a large party who can be "picky". I honestly expected a subpar experience and was totally impressed. If you can give that good service in that chaos I would love to come on a calm afternoon and enjoy the vibe. “I decided to go for a solo lunch date today and I’m glad I did. My waitress Jackie was through and very helpful in her recommendations. She got my drink order and bread to my table quickly. My food came out quickly after that and I really enjoyed it. The Brussels and Sweet Potatoe were my favorites. I tried the Parmesan crusted chicken —I didnt care for it but that was more because of my picky preference. The Caesar salad was fresh and flavorful as well as a starter. I’ll definitely treat myself here again real soon!“

The tropical fruits in the fish dishes were phenomenal...added a nice element to the saltiness of the fish. Only drawback are the portion sizes on the fish. Fairly small for what you're paying...it wasn't terrible but I would have liked a little bigger piece and some more rice. However it wasn't over cooked, very fresh, and lots of flavor. Definitely a place you may want to frequent.“

The staff was amazing, they checked in on us multiple times and filled our water every time we needed a refill without having to ask. The bread they serve is warm and tasty and the calamari was perfect.Small negatives: the rib eye steak needed seasoning and the shrimp scampi was nothing special, a little salty… my favorite dish was probably the branzino and the Brussels sprouts.I would return!“

“Last night, my family and I visited the Roots Steakhouse, Ridgewood location to celebrate a special birthday occasion. We were greeted with impeccable service from our server, who catered to our needs flawlessly. The cuisine, as always, was simply delightful. While enjoying our meal, a small mishap occurred where a drink was accidentally spilled onto the floor, splashing onto my sports coat. The server promptly expressed sincere apologies and notified their supervisor. To our surprise, Larry, the general manager, personally approached our table to offer his sincere apologies and assistance. Despite my reassurances that accidents happen, Larry insisted on arranging for the dry cleaning of my coat and even offered to deliver it to my home. Although I declined his kind offer, Larry ensured that I could submit the dry cleaning bill for reimbursement. As we concluded our meal, we were pleasantly surprised when Larry sent over an assortment of complimentary desserts from the menu. His professionalism and genuine care during this incident were truly commendable. This review is not intended to critique the staff but to express heartfelt gratitude to Larry and his team for their exceptional handling of an unfortunate situation.“
