“As someone who was born in Slovakia, Europe, I was extremely pleased to hear that this location exists and serves Kürtősh. In my native country this a traditional (Hungary native) dessert served on the streets and festivals. I have visited this location last week and upon arrival, my girlfriend and her friends were welcomed to a warm and professional atmosphere, with the owner not only being passionate and extremely knowledgeable, but having lived in Hungary herself and truly caring for each and every ingredient that goes into making this tasty dessert. Each ingredient is imported directly from Europe. Trust me, being born there and lived here for over a decade the ingredients do VERY MUCH differ in quality. Kürtősh, which I ordered 4 of, tasted exactly like the one you’ll find in Europe. They even go a step further and coat it with different toppings such as coconut, sprinkles, walnuts and can add ice cream into it which is an outstanding idea. For those who never tried this treat I wholeheartedly recommend it because it tastes nothing like the typical processed desserts you’ll find here. It’s quite the delicacy.“

“I enjoyed the avocado toast, with two fried eggs (extra) (they don't do poached). Nothing fancy, nothing catchy. When it came out I prejudged and was thinking, oh hmm, this might not be good. But overall the avocado and the eggs were good enough for a 4⭐, and I think the two things that helped to push it over the edge to 5⭐ were the bread and the pickled peppers. In particular the pickled peppers added a little bit of sweetness and a little kick. Pleasant surprise.Matcha latte was reasonable and not remarkable -- lacking in latte art but slightly making up for it in portion. Also, could have been sifted/whisked some more because there were lumpy chunks at the bottom. Nevertheless I won't let this pull down the 5⭐ for food.~10am on a rainy Sunday morning but the place was almost full. And there was a robust pickup / delivery business.“

I’ve been a true fan of this restaurant ever since I’ve moved up to Bloomfield a few years ago and I always bring my friends and family to this restaurant. Anthony and his team were very accommodating and brought out the rest of trays as the previous ones started emptying out which I greatly appreciated due to the lack of space we were given at the venue. We ordered the chicken empanadas, beef empanadas, broccoli rabe, mixed greens salad, Mac and cheese, chicken parm, eggplant parm, pasta vodka, meatballs and potato croquettes. All dishes were excellent and everyone was excited to pack the leftovers home as well! I also ordered catering from here back in February for my galentines party and the food was also a success during that time. “I have wanted to visit the Sweets & Cafe Bakery for a long time. It is a few blocks away from my dentist, and I finally had the opportunity to visit last Friday, March 8, 2024. The service was excellent, and the two staff people who took and served my order were very professional, friendly and helpful. The cafe con leche was MUY DELICIOSO, and the ocho with guava and cream was also very tasty. The place was so clean, and the bathroom was also very clean and well-stocked, too. Watching this unfold, I couldn't help but wonder about the espresso lingo barrier in NYC cafes. Turns out, a long shot isn't as common as I thought in the city. Who knew? After a bit of back and forth, with the staff member checking in to see if he should keep the espresso flowing a bit longer, we got there in the end. And I've got to say, the result was worth the mini espresso education session. The long shot was bold, smooth, and had a depth of flavor that took me by surprise. “I was back in my hometown for a short trip and wanted to work remote from a cafe. I did a quick Yelp search and stumbled across Marimba Cafe - the new name caught my eye and the aesthetics and offerings here solidified my decision. I don't think I've ever come across a sit down Latin cafe here in Bergen County so to me, since moving away, it's the first of its kind. Also first of its kind to proudly offer CBD infused menu items. I believe they just opened in November! The vibes in here are immaculate. My favorite feature is the stone floor - it just transports you somewhere new! The color scheme in here is also appealing, and the Latin music made me want to dance while I took on meetings haha. Overall, really solid branding and concept. Since I was working west coast hours, I spent the whole afternoon into close here. It's a really great place to work as there were other people working remote. They have comfortable seating and outlets conveniently located along the booth. I will say though that the booth seating was just a tad too high for the table so it took some time getting used to. Also, they do play the music fairly loud (a must) in here so it can be a tad distracting if you're taking meetings and have to speak. Since I stayed here for over 5 hours, I was able to observe the sense of community Marimba has fostered - they greet customers like friends! I also saw on their Instagram that they host community events like paint nights and dance nights and support other local businesses with their La Placita Sundays. I love everything this business is about. I ordered the coquito latte hot and a pan de bono. The latte was solid and I wish the pan de bono was just a bit bigger! I would love to try more here. Congrats to the owners of Marimba, I wish the cafe tons of business and success! I definitely want to visit again when I'm back in town.“

The service is great - the owner is welcoming (even once escorted our toddler to the c-store next door to buy some candy) and all the wait staff is great, especially Jason who is incredibly kind. Food is excellent quality and fairly priced for how good it is. Pastas are cooked perfect al dente. Great meat dishes especially the pork chop french cut. The desserts are quite good as well - love the coconut cake. Because it's not huge it isn't quiet but we've never found it to be uncomfortably loud and it has a great ambience.“
