“Ok- this was heaven! I was just walking down Bloomfield ave and walked into this cute place . I had the falafel pita- it was sooo good I had two!!! The food is amazing and the people and owner are friendly. Recommend it to everyone and I will be back! Made my day! Thank you!“
“Current Review -Was in mood for Kabobs in this cold weather and stopped at this place late evening. Ordered Lamb Chops, Lamb Shank Pulao and Chicken Kofta Kabobs.Didn’t disappoint me. Amazing taste, flavorful and had authentic reflections of Mediterranean cuisine. Their Lamb items are the best among the list.Their complementary Bread and Salads with different sauces is noteworthy. My recommendation is Lamb Chops and Lamb Shank Pulao. Shank was so well cooked that the meat was falling off from the bone and literally melting in the mouth. It’s an open casual dining place. Plate portion is good, competitive price for excellent taste and food quality. Customer service was good this time and could be because of less traffic.A must visit is recommended if you crave for Mediterranean food. I will visit again.Review from 2 years ago -We family and friends visit for dinner and tried Chicken Chapli, Lamb Chop, Chicken Lentil Soup and Chicken Gyro. Undoubtedly, the Lentil Soup and Lamb Chop were best from the list. Customer service is not good for family dine-in.“
“Got even better , if thats possible!!!!Great place in Chatham for a chicken sandwich, ranking in my top 3 places. The wings are off the hook as well. Get the fries with the aieilo and chic too. A must try for a fast food option you won't be disappointed. Service is above average and they have a great disposition as well. Makes eating there a more than pleasant experience.Another great time !!!!!!!“
“One of the best Moroccan restaurants in the area. The Chicken Tagine and the Lamb Tagine was excellent and you can enjoy their delicious saffron rice all by itself. The portion sizes are quite hearty and good to share for two people. Get a reservation beforehand if you plan to visit on holidays or the weekend.“
“This was our first time trying PAK and we were very impressed. The chicken and rice was delicious and an extremely generous portion. Samosas were crispy and flavorful. If you love halal food, this is a great spot without having to travel to the city! We will definitely be back!“
“Great and fast service. There are many selections and options you can choose from. The meat is freshly made which I love. Chef said was so helpful and gave great customer service. The prices are reasonable. Atmosphere and service , food was perfect ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️“
“I went there for lunch with my wife and was very pleased with everything, The food was delicious and the place was very clean, the family platter is something I would recommend to anyone to try if they decide to visit this restaurant, very big portions are very reasonably priced and we will def visit again in the near future.“
“Grilled chicken PlatterFrom $8.99over basmati rice and salad (Lettuce, Tomato & Cucumber) with grilled Onion & Pepper, White Zone Sauce, Red Zone Sauce (spicy).I ordered from Uber Eats, so I don’t know how the service was, but from the way the place told the person who was bringing the food to hold it, it meant the people care about how one gets their food, which is good. This was my first time trying out this place. A friend who always comes here put me on, and well, I finally got to try it and it was a 10/10. The chicken was seasoned, not too salty, and the white sauce had a little something that makes it different from the other white sauces I get from other halal spots. The sauce alone gets a 10/10 ?. The red zone wasn’t too spicy, but man, it was good. It made me want to order another platter, but this time actually go in person to order it, as I found out they sell drinks that seem to go well with it. The pita bread was soft and came with two pieces, just like in the picture. Honestly, I usually don’t get the tomato and lettuce because I focus on the main things, but when everything is mixed together, it's a gem ?. Definitely check this place out if you live in the area or order from Uber Eats. And the best part is, they aren't expensive. I paid about $12.99 for the platter on Uber Eats, but I swear it’s worth it.“
“The owners are so polite and kind they make the orders super quick and tasty. I ordered the fat burger it reminds me of the Italian Cheesesteaks I grew up on in Jersey City it was amazing! I’ve ordered from this place several times now and every time it’s been good and they’re open later than most places in the area (10 PM on most days) so that’s a plus for me since I’m a bit of night owl. The portions are huge which I like and their menu has plenty of options to choose from. I love this place and will def be ordering more.“
“We were in the area and decided to check out this place bc of all the great reviews and I’m so glad we did. This place is amazing and the food is so so good!! We ordered the hummus, chicken chapli and beef chapli with qabuli palow (traditional rice with carrots and raisins). It’s so favorable and so fresh. They bring out the largest piece of naan bread ever with your order or hummus and food btw which I totally forgot to take a picture of ??♀️ oh and the people who work here are so lovely!“
“been coming here for years now, food is always good & consistent. but today this female employee prompted me to scan a google card without saying why, just kept tapping it against my phone which i had put for the app. as soon as the review page came up she began to tap 5 stars for everything, without asking me or explaining anything. very suspicious & just completing this review so people know the ratings may be tampered with & completed by the employee rather than customers.“
“Checked it out because of the high rating on Google. I got the chopped cheese meal (fries & soda) with a fried Chicken drumstick on the side. Only $12.93 for everything! The chopped cheese was awesome, fully loaded texture and flavor bomb on a toasted Italian roll. It took only about 5 minutes to make. The chicken was seasoned nice and was super juicy on the inside yet golden crispy on the outside. I was stoked to try the fries next because there was enough for a family and golden in color. Sadly they were soggy, not fried nearly as long as they should have been and lacked salt. I ate just a few both with and without ketchup and tossed them. This small trendy looking corner store had a couple display cases with mainly fried chicken and desserts offered as grab-n-go. There were 2 thin tables to stand at and eat if desired and quiet with one chef and one cashier. Friendly staff though with great recommendations.Parking: Street parking already taken. Expect to park a block away.“
“From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a warm friendly environment. Usman was an absolutely wonderful host for the evening and made excellent suggestions and even told us a bit about the history of Halal Boyz, the locations, and the larger variety on the menu compared to typical Halal spots. My boyfriend got the chicken and lamb platter with a strip of hot sauce, strip of white sauce, and strip of BBQ sauce. I got the chicken tikka boti platter with white sauce and BBQ sauce. The flavors were outstanding. So many layers of flavor and tender juiciness and fresh veggies my eyes were wide and impressed with every bite. Usman offered us some chai for after our meal and the perfect soothing combination of cardamom, milk, cream, and Delicious tea was the perfect way to end our meal. Serving was plentiful we had left overs to take home and cannot wait for dinner tonight! Epic spot. And can't wait to try his suggestions of other menu items next time we're in the area. Thanks for your hospitality and we will be back!“
“I had to come to a chicken shack when I got to Jersey, IYKYK. I read all the reviews about how good the pizza and chicken were and I had to try because it was close to my hotel plus they are open 24 hours. The cheese pizza was DELICIOUS. the cheese was sliding off with a nice crisp crust, just how I love it. The fried chicken was EVEN BETTER. Just fried to perfection. With perfectly seasoned French fries. Mannnnnn, oh man. It took about 10 minutes, there were tables inside. They all had soda, juice and ice cream for order. You have different options for pizza and chicken options.“
“It's a very small, unassuming place with limited seating but the service is good and so if the food! I went for breakfast and really enjoyed my french toast, scrambled eggs, and beef bacon everything was delicious! Honestly, better than I expected! Don't judge a book by its cover! Sorry there's no photos or videos, I was starving and had to eat before the camera this time“
“They have the best gyro bowl in the city and the people who work there have the best respect for costumers and they have the best food in Newark so I recommend you come to King wings.Vegetarian options: I would recommend the house because the lettuce is so fresh and good I would like to eat it all day“
“Union fried chicken and grill is easily one of favorite food spots in union. The staff is very friendly and put a lot of effort into the cooking. The food is great (the lamb over rice will change your life) and it is a must try place being right on morris ave. They are right next door to a Halal grocery store and they have a nice sized lot in the back as well. If you have not tried the food here, you definitely should. Also don’t be fooled by the name of the store, they have plenty more to offer than just fried chicken.“
“Our very first time visiting Mughal. Valentine was great! He was extremely attentive to us and we enjoyed our family dinner. The food was great but most importantly Valentine made our day special by taking care of all the details. All in all wonderful experience.“
“I eat at this location, atleast once a week, when I can make it b4 they close.I was introduced to there food, by my fiance..... i was across the street at the nail salon. And he came with a cheeseburger... i was hooked...That introduction to there food, 2 years ago, has me going back every week.Super friendly, and I walk in, and they ask 1 or 2... lol. There the best tasting food, over any fast food garbage, and they are super friendly, profossional too.And once you get to know these muslims, they will make you laugh.Im not religious, but I have the upmost respect for them. And recommend them to ALL.“
“Hi all I must say I’ve been twice so far and each time the food was good . I didn’t take pics the first go round but here is the second. I had the Turkey wings w/ Mac &cheese and collards /w side of yams yea I had a feast ?? . It taste just like home cooking not processed cans. Enjoy yourself when you try all the good fixings ? oh yea portions are on point?Wheelchair accessibility: No steps to enter…“
“Excellent lamb gyro meal for lunch. Friendly counter staff who took my order. It is self searing after you order. Seats/tables were OK but don’t expect spotlessly clean tables. Bathroom was clean. Good place for lunch.Parking: Next door to Quikchek so you might have to park a little bit away from Quikchek.“
“Wow❤️❤️❤️. I’m from North Carolina. My siblings and I was recommended by my Cuzo to eat here after a funeral. My family and I was so very pleased with the food with the service. And the ambiance was so elegant and old school. I will be back. That fried chicken hmmmm delicious!“
“PROs - good food (meat) , good service , nice location CONs- not much for veggie lovers First timer .. good location... right on oak tree and park ave . Lots of other shops in this strip mall. Lots of parking ... gets busy on weekends and peak hours .. they also sell baklava and few other sweets ... We ordered gyros .. we also asked for extra meat . So the quantity was really good . We saw them prepare the chicken gyro and it was just awesome . Meat was juicy and tasted perfect . Goes well with rice , salad ... kids liked it . There was felafel but very limited options for veggie lovers. Lots of place to sit and dine . Overall a good spot for a quick lunch.. priced good .“
“The food here is really good. If you don't mind a few locals crowding around playing their dice games outside sometimes. I'm from the hood so I'm not phased nor easily shook. Besides all that, the food here is pretty solid. You get a bit more then what you pay for and it's always made fresh. Large portions and a lot of options. I love their beef sausage with homefries and eggs. On occasion I enjoy the wings and waffles. They're pretty busy in the morning but I love places like that. It puts me in the frame of mind that the food must be fresh because it hasn't had the chance to be sitting around getting stale. Their iced teas and uptown (lemonade and iced tea mix) are good and sugar loaded. I cut it at home with a bit of water and it goes a long way.“
“For starters, let me just state that this was my first time ever eating African food. I had okra, white rice, and debie. This eatery was highly recommended by a friend, and it was delicious. However, the person cooking was really unpleasant when I returned alone one day, and I nearly decided not to return even though I was really craving it. I returned to give it one last try, and I'm glad I did because I visit this place nearly every week. The individual I interacted with during this interaction was really kind and supportive. I haven't tried anything else on the menu, but the white rice and okra combination is AMAZING. The best part is that there is a lot of food and it is quite reasonably priced.“
“Hiba Hala was the only Hala place open on Thanksgiving, for the ones who didn't celebrate the holiday, they offer great food and service. I didn't get to take a picture, I had egg whites and turkey bacon cause they don't serve sausage for some reason, but ok and French toast. I ate it all before my flight to Jamaica. For a tea and breakfast ran me about $18 that blew my mind, but I did enjoy my food and was just happy they were open.“
“Always delicious and consistent. I've been coming here for 20 years and it never disappoints. From the real good brown fried rice- so basic but when done with superior ingredients, basic turns into a delicacy - to the homemade lemonade that quenches every part of you. A must have when in Newark. Its worth the trip to East Orange.“
“O boy, you want a quick bite with healthy meal in reasonable price this is your spot.Stop by for brunch, we had…Halwa poori specialEggs sunny side upPlain parathasTea.The service was quick, the space is small. It’s also a grocery store with goods from Asian countries ( India and Pakistan).A must try spot if you are ever craving fresh poories and parathas!“
“This is the first halal Chinese food experience I've ever had. This cash-only establishment has fresh food and competitive prices. The staff isn't very friendly and they're always in some kind of hurry. The restaurant is dated and not very welcoming and there is no dining area. The quality of food and its flavors make up for their other shortcomings. I will return, but with lower expectations.“
“My brother is a super regular customer, and he introduced me to this amazing place. Food is always delicious, the price is right, and the wait time is convenient. Perfect place for any kind of grab you need, and I guarantee you'll get disappointed.I actually ate from there earlier today, off, course my brother was there as well?“
“We were working in the area, smelled so good outside how could I not try it. I work all over the state and always try to sample the locals food joints. This place is a hit. I had the beef Gyro. I’ve had gyros all over the state. But this place was the best. Marinated steak over lettuce and tomatoes with the sauce drizzled over top. More than enough food for the price. Highly recommend and I will return whenever I’m in the area.“
“Wow❤️❤️❤️. I’m from North Carolina. My siblings and I was recommended by my Cuzo to eat here after a funeral. My family and I was so very pleased with the food with the service. And the ambiance was so elegant and old school. I will be back. That fried chicken hmmmm delicious!“
“Seems decent for quick middle eastern food! I’ve only visited once and tried their mixed shawarma bowl which was a mix of chicken and beef.I don’t know enough about different middle eastern cuisines to know what type of beef shawarmas are different but this type was the longer strips that were tougher.Sauces were white and a red sauce. The red sauce was not particularly spicy hot but added light flavor. The restaurant itself has a few seats and the street parking is metered.“
“A very wonderful person, seller and cook. The food was not expensive but big and very well prepared. And most importantly, the attitude towards me was at a high level and the food was served with a sincere smile, which is now a rarity. I recommend to “
“It's been a while since I've had C&R. But this place brought back memories of standing in line on 53rd & 6th. Most importantly, the flavor was reminiscent of NYC carts. I was worried that it would become dry in the time it took the delivery to get to us but that wasn't the case. Even when I ate leftovers 3 days later, it was pretty good. Needless to say, next time I have a chicken & rice craving, I know where I'll be ordering from.“
“I am from Montclair but travel to Newark often for their chicken, mac and cheese, onion rings, pizza and shrimp. Yum. Their employees are wonderful. The restaurant is busy because their food is worth it. It is inappropriate for anyone to suggest that their location means they should sell their good food for cheap.“
“Probably best meal of our trip. Burger was amazingly seasoned, Fries and Chicken were also very good, service was nice and prompt. Had both bean and beyond burgers, which is a plus for our party of a vegeterian that likes meat and one that doesn't.Vegetarian options: Black Bean and Beyond burgers, plus Paneer wraps and a good variety of sides.Dietary restrictions: Most menu items can be ordered Halal.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu.“
