“I went one evening, and I was greeted with a smile and ppl who wanted to be at work. The smile seemed sincere and not forced. The first night, I had the pleasure of meeting the ladies, I went back the next day to make sure the energy was the same, and it was. The fellas gave me the same energy, the same big welcoming smile and a greeting when I walked in. The service was speedy and polite, I filled out the survey from my first visit and downloaded the app, and gained rewards. They also acknowledged my $1 off from my first survey. I enjoyed the speedy service each time. I ordered by 3:08 and eqs out by 3:12 what more could I ask for. Patience isn't something I have, but I'm working on it. With service like this, it will take some time. I'm so happy there's a smoothie place near me open after 5 pm that's hard to find, and it's good with good service. If you're in the area and looking for a real fruit smoothie, look no further ‼️“

I will admit I think I got a little too overzealous with my bowl choices but I love that everything is unlimited! Next time, I'll try to build a more cohesive bowl. Everything tasted fresh and delicious, not too sweet not too tart which is sometimes an issue for me at Playa Bowls. The highlights were the pitaya and mango bases.“

“I love me a good AÇAI bowl and this place is really nailing it. Really friendly service, clean accessible location with parking, high tech seamless checkout, interesting menu. Now to the bowl. Their granola branded as SoulNola is really another level of deliciousness. It has a chewy sweet almost molasses like quality that’s awesome. Açaí was perfect texture and taste and all the right ratios of fruits added. A must try.“

“You may think this is a divey diner but, no, it is certainly not. It’s a cute and cozy spot with good food. They have a number of Mediterranean dishes which was lovely to behold. I had a side order of hummus which was clearly homemade and it was a generous portion. So much so that I had to take my tuna sandwich to go. Even the sandwich was enough for two people. The smoothies looked yummy, as I saw many customers ordering them. Next time! There about 8 small tables so it may be tough to find a seat; however I was able to get one for just me. You did need to order food at the register but they will bring your order to your table. Also everything was surprisingly affordable for upper Montclair.“

Tried the pork fried dumplings today and they were freshly hand made and delicious, the dipping sauce was like a sweet soy, yum. “One of them ones! If you were ever on the fence about trying whole vegan cooking, this is where you want to try it! The owner of Blueberry is the chef, and he is the truth. Their dinner plates are large, but you can eat it all and not feel the slightest bit sluggish. Loyal customer base. I have to try their smoothies. Do yourself a favor and try their rasta pasta or their pasta with whole mushroom meatballs. Their dinner plates come as is with 2 predetermined sides.“

“PROS:- This place makes their bases (which they have numerous kinds of) right in front of you. It's not premade like Frutta Bowls or Playa Bowls. So you can customize it completely.- The portions are HUGE especially compared to Frutta Bowls. I much rather have more of the base (which is difficult to make at home) than the slices of fruit on top (which is easy to do at home).- Krystina and Shanel made our bowls and were so warm and patient -- explaining all of their options and even giving us free samples of their sugar free peanut butter which they grind right in front of you (this was the topping we chose -- highly recommend).- They even have a BOGO on Wednesdays if you use the app. You can bet we will be there again this week for it.CONS:- Acai bowls in general are not cheap. But I've made many acai bowls myself at home, and those 100% acai packets from Trader Joe's are a pain to open and work with. They have a sandwich and wrap station , taco station , pizza station , a fresh salad and bowl station and fruits and desserts. There’s plenty of chips and drinks to choose from. This is a great lunch spot. I had a “Livingston” pizza which had bacon, pineapple , and Gorgonzola cheese and it was real delicious. I also tried an “Essex” sandwich which was chicken cutlet , spicy ranch and tomato on Focaccia bread toasted nicely in the oven. Relaxed atmosphere with plenty of seating. “I have been to this perfect little neighborhood gem several times over the years, and I have never been disappointed. Many customers are greeted by name as they clearly have many regulars. The ambiance is nothing fancy, but you will feel comfortable. As for the food you really cannot go wrong. The soups are very popular. The tomato basil is perfection, and they serve it with an exceptional roll. Every crepe I have had, both savory and sweet, has been delicious. Also, they are huge! Personally, I love the protein waffle it is a very filling option. The prices are also pretty affordable. Ranch and Hot sauce on the side (to avoid a soggy wrap and I can proportion how much sauce I want in it). The vibes are set as soon as you step in the door the space is super trendy and playing cool music and decorated beautifully. I got the birthday cake shake which was absolutely delicious and the donuts which were absolutely insaneee.
