“I've been looking for a local, full service coffee shop that roasts their own beans, sells coffee/espresso, as well as offers breakfast and lunch.**This IS that place**I couldn't tell from their website, but the posts I saw on insta showed that they serve food, and I'm happy to report that it tastes as good as it looks!Very friendly staff and accommodating. Although it's currently the middle of December, I wanted a macchiato over ice, which wasn't on their menu, but when I asked they happily said 'of course'.Seems like I'm going to have to sign up for their points system because I can tell I'm going to be back here a whole lot more.I'm particularly interested in sampling their beans, just wish i didn't have to buy an entire bag of beans. Why don't these local roasters sell sample packs, allowing you to still purchase a pound of beans, but separated into small batches with samples of each bean type? This would allow me to quickly figure out which bean I want to try without having to buy a single large bag and take a month to go through coffee I don't really like before trying the next type . . . Or maybe i should start roasting my own beans and do this method . . .Anyways, I really like the space they have, they've really made the most of it, very cozy and inviting.Can't wait to go back“

“I eat in w my girlfriend all the time! They always have the black pepper foccacia we like because we usually go later in the day. Always good vibes. Very friendly staff. Food is bomb. “This place is pretty cool and the service was amazing. We did have to wait a little before getting helped bc each group pretty much gets a little history of where the place started, and there's only one person who speak to the customers. The ice cream seems to be high quality and the cones are made to order! I personally don't prefer the cone texture, even though they're fresh they're still a little dense. But I'd def come back and get a cup with a smaller portion of the cone.“

“An absolute gem added to downtown Berkeley Heights. Everything from start to finish was top notch. Rolls and garlic herb olive oil were tasty. Meatballs and coconut shrimp were excellent starters. Branzino was fresh and the red pepper sauce complimented the fish well. Braised short rib & vincotto chicken were very well constructed dishes. Pistachio tiramisu (homemade) capped off an awesome dinner.Service was on point throughout, very professional with smiling faces. We will be back without a doubt. BYOB and easy parking.“

“I ordered catering for my birthday event last weekend and the food was amazing! I’ve been a true fan of this restaurant ever since I’ve moved up to Bloomfield a few years ago and I always bring my friends and family to this restaurant. Whether it’s Brunch or dinner, the food never disappoints! Hence why I thought it was a good idea to ask for them to cater for my bday! Anthony and his team were very accommodating and brought out the rest of trays as the previous ones started emptying out which I greatly appreciated due to the lack of space we were given at the venue. We ordered the chicken empanadas, beef empanadas, broccoli rabe, mixed greens salad, Mac and cheese, chicken parm, eggplant parm, pasta vodka, meatballs and potato croquettes. All dishes were excellent and everyone was excited to pack the leftovers home as well! I also ordered catering from here back in February for my galentines party and the food was also a success during that time. “This is a very beautiful breakfast cafe. If you need to grab and go you can or bring your lab top if you need to get some work done.The pastries are amazing and customer service is always excellent.I bring my children at least twice a week.I highly recommend the blueberry croissant and the hazelnut cortado.enjoy“

“I love that the kids have a safe place to go but it does get quite noisy when you're trying to write and things. And sometimes the music gets really loud. Other wise the sweets are really good and it's a cool space but not for those seeking other adult only “

My son's Eggs Benedict was delish and the bread wasn't the usual English muffin instead a thick slice of heavenly toast. The avocado toast was unbelievable and scrumptious. I had both Arepa dishes...both very good but the beef and cheese was exceptional :)Look forward to going back!“

“Victoria’s presentation was very informative. Her cake was very tasty. I love the frosting and the different flavors that she incorporated into it. I love the way she prepared it. Everyone is just so nice and willing to help/answer any questions you have. The bakery is very relaxing so you could definitely get some work done if that's your cup of tea. The only negative I must comment on is that their sandwiches sit under a heated lamp so their bagels can get a bit soggy. “Ladies and gentlemen this is one of the best cafes in and around clifton-paterson- garfield area where you can grab a very flavorful coffee and enjoy a little studying time. The cafe has plenty of seats for everyone and plenty of outlets. Mario and jason are both great baristas and are phenomenal with the customers. I definitely come here often and study and enjoy the environment and vibes of cafe. It can get a little hectic and loud when there are inconsiderate people around but all in all one of my fav cafes. They always have new drinks and the baristas are very creative. Well done!“

“We hired Custodi to cater our wedding and we couldn't be happier with the experience. We had them provide a buffer appetizer/cocktail hour, as well as coffee and tea service during dessert. We live in Oregon and got married in New Jersey, but Chris made the long distance communication and logistics a breeze. Day of, he sent a great team, and they were able to navigate the day smoothly, and make it ever the more easier for my husband and I to just enjoy our day and not be asked a thousand questions. Everything was delicious, and I especially loved the stuffed mushrooms! Thank you again for making our day great!“

“Twisted Tulip is a cute and cozy cafe with a very relaxing vibe. I ordered an iced latte with almond milk and the latte of the day 'Vanilla Rose Latte'. The Latte of the day was good but the rose/vanilla aspect was very not very pronounced. The other latter was also good. They offer a good variety of drinks, pastries, sandwiches, etc., The decor was unexpected (graffiti styles) with the name being twisted tulip, but it was a bright fun look. They have stools along a glass window, as will as tables/chairs and a cozy corner with a little couch, and a shelf of books (all very inviting) They also have outdoor seating but there seems to be a lot of construction happening around the building...hopefully it will be done by the time its warm enough to sit outside. The staff was friendly and the music was great; Overall a great experience. I'll definitely be back and recommend folks to stop by.Parking: Lots“

“Le Souk felt like I was enjoying a meal in someone's home in Syria. Soft, Middle Eastern guitar melodies played in the background as I enjoyed my food. The restaurant was decorated with a myriad of artistic knickknacks. My server was polite, and they came to check in throughout my time there.I took advantage of the 4 appetizers for $30 deal as I was not super hungry. I ordered their beet salad, falafel waffle, stuffed grape leaves, and stuffed kebeh. I intended on ordering the dandelion greens, but they were not available, which was disappointing. The food I did receive, though, was a nice window into their menu.The stuffed kebeh was my favorite, a nice crispy shell with a nutty flavor, juicy ground beef inside, with just a little pomegranate syrup to add a bit of tangy sweetness.I'd love to come back and try some of their sandwiches or an entree in the future. “Tasty food with lots of choices for the whole family. We did takeout for 5 items: --Wok Fried Noodles - bouncy and satisfying! --Bao Sampler Platter - Really good, especially with chili oil! This came with different fillings: Pork with Scallion, Chicken with Corn, and Beef with Onion and you can have them steamed or fried. I super recommend getting their add-on of Spicy Minced Pork Chili Oil which really elevates this dish. --Jasmine Boba Tea (customized for my request of zero ice, zero sugar) - pretty good, but the boba was kinda hard. --Crab and Pork Soup Dumplings - Pretty good. These are very likely much better eaten in the restaurant. In general, the filling was slightly too dense and the wrapper was a little too thick compared to the same dish I've had elsewhere. --Bao Chicken - A family fave. This came with 3 pieces of broccoli and was heavy on the chicken which had a light coating and yummy sauce. The portion lasted my kids several meals. With food this good, this spot can take a bao. ;)“

Cozy atmosphere with local artists' works on display and for sale. Daily specials in food and drink available. Great sandwiches and soups also in addition to breakfast fare! My faves are huevos rancheros or Spanish omelette, or a good ol' egg sandwich and oat latte. The French toast is also yummmm! Brunch crowd vie for tables on weekends. Their dinner plates are large, but you can eat it all and not feel the slightest bit sluggish. Loyal customer base. I have to try their smoothies. The tuna was creamy and delicious, and the seeded roll was flavorful and added to the overall taste. Service was friendly and efficient. I would definitely return if I was in the area.
