“Amazing Irish food - and the prices are fabulous. Beer is always cold, vibes are always good. Best bar for a night in sweats or a night out with friends. Karaoke, trivia, bands, everything you could want. Bangers & Mash, Shepard's Pie, chicken Caesar wrap, fish & chips, burger, Cajun wrap, all “
“I've been to Keens before, and I always like it when I'm in Manhattan. The food is good, and the service is great too. I think the steaks could use a bit more seasoning, though. They do mention something about salt on the menu, and I even asked my server to season it well, but it still needed a bit more. But overall, it's a nice place to go.“
“I always walked by and knew the name from living in Chicago. The iconic building always intrigued me and last night, I was lucky to find a table during peak dinner rush.I was guided to their newly rennovated 'Sidecar'. We sat upstairs and loved being able to look over 3rd avenue. The service was so attentive -- from being immediately greeted to the servers always offering to clear plates and offer new ones. I had the Cadillac burger and it came with a generous portion of french fries. The desserts surpassd expectation, i got the brownie sundae but learned the cheesecake and apple crisp are made in-house so I need to come back and try that.Shout out to my server Nicole and Marianna for making PJ Clarke's especially memorable and a new found staple in my dinner rotation in midtown.“
“Went there for the bottomless brunch with some friends. While we had a blast, we misunderstood the bottomless brunch deal: on top of paying for an entree, you can get bottomless drinks for 90 minutes for 30 something dollars, which when you look at it you better be drinking A LOT for it to make financial sense, so be warned.“
“Having traveled all the way from Canada, our visit to this restaurant was truly extraordinary. The service stood out immediately, with our waitress providing insightful menu explanations and excellent recommendations for our group of four, which turned out to be spot on.The food itself was outstanding. From appetizers to main courses, each dish was bursting with flavor and spices that made every bite a delight. Eating with our hands added an extra layer of enjoyment, engaging all our senses in the experience. Even those in our group who weren't vegan were thoroughly impressed. The restaurant's cozy and welcoming atmosphere added to the overall charm. The local artwork on the walls and the vibrant colors created a warm and inviting ambiance. We'll definitely be returning to this hidden gem. The combination of excellent service, delicious food, and inviting atmosphere makes it a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience. Highly recommended!“
“Full marks across the board, everything on the extensive menu is great with the Irish mixed grill and the salmon being my favorites. The portions are huge the servers are all terrific and in the evenings and weekends there is always a lively atmosphere. I highly recommend this place to all food lovers and double recommend it to those on a budget“
“I love this place. The chipotle chicken sandwich is amazing. The service is excellent. Humble interior, delicious food (try the wake and bake burger that has an egg and a hash brown) and reasonably priced. The servers have a great energy and are quick. As a local, I’d recommend this place to anyone around the area.“
“Been going to Shannon Rose for years...dinner with friends, teacher appreciation etc. I love their food especially their nachos and burgers and I loooove the sangria. We love Ashley she's a great worker, pleasant and always willing to accommodate us. Def a 5 start visit when Ashley's working!!“
“This is one of my favorite restaurants on the Upper West Side. Many great menu items, but my favorite is their chicken pot pie (see pic). I also often order the bruschetta - it’s always prepared perfectly. The ambiance of an Irish pub is full of character. The food, the drinks, and the service here is consistently excellent.“
“I’d give atmosphere 10 stars if I could. This is my all time favorite bar. It’s chill. The staff are incredible, and there are regulars that all know each other and talk. I love this place so much I rented it out for my wedding reception.11/10. Couldn’t recommend more.“
“Good local bar. I wouldn't travel far to come here, but my friend lives down the block on 40th and this is my favorite spot in the area. Good prices, got just what you need. People are always cool around here. Saw a fight once outside. Pool tables you can play. Bathroom is far away downstairs. I come here whenever I'm in the neighborhood!“
“We had a wonderful dining experience here this past Saturday evening. The atmosphere of this old Irish sports pub was lively and friendly, without being overwhelming. We sat at one of the many tables surrounding the bar. The service was prompt and friendly. The beer and wine were great and the burgers, fries, salad, and salmon were delicious and the portions very generous. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering its location a block and a half south of Central Park. We were just tourists but would come back often if we lived here.“
“Great pocha in Pal Park. Love all.the photo ops they have within. The ambiance, food and service are excellent!! Been there many many times and our favorites are the hamburger steak and beef tartare(yookhoe 육회). Think they have the freshest yookhoe in town! Will be back again soon!!“
“Great Bar, you have to go! We stayed for 5 nights in the New Yorker and ended up back in the Tailor Bar most nights. Great food, great beers but most importantly amazing Staff - Jack, Connor and the lovely Girl from Brooklyn (Sorry I can't remember her name) took the time to write out some really great Food recommendations. It's always busy but worth it. Oh and they show the Premier League matches and just about every other Sporting events on TV. Just go.“
“the friendly neighborhood pub you imagine from TV shows. the staff are super friendly and welcoming. we always have a good time enjoying a drink and laughs. there are darts and pool in the back, too! can’t recommend highly enough for get togethers small and large.“
“Great Irish pub with friendly staff and delicious food. They pay attention to the details like matching the branded glasses with the right beers. Service was very quick even though it was wall to wall busy since it’s a popular place. If you’re lucky you’ll get to meet Maggie herself!“
“I absolutely love Jasper’s Tap House & Kitchen! Their Santa Fe chicken sandwich is a standout favorite of mine, worth crossing town for. The fries are divine, and the portion sizes are generous. The staff is also incredibly friendly and made the experience even more enjoyable. Can't wait for my next visit!“
“The perfect pub if you are in the desperate need of a quick pint. It's the definition of "fast drink" instead of "fast food" because sadly this place is lacking of food or at least snacks but I think it's the concept of this place to only serve drinks and I have to say they are doing that on the best level.“
“Great spot for your 20s if you live on the UES. Came here quite a bit when I was younger. They have beer pong and I’d say its a classed up sports bar. My friend met her husband here years ago. The food here is decent American bar food but nothing crazy. When it does get busy and really packed here the service can suffer and it can be difficult to get a drink.“
“They do not sell food, beer and wine only. They make a mean frozen sangria! I never have a problem getting a seat and the bartender remembered me! Cool spot.Wheelchair accessibility: You can get into the market, there are no stairs. It might be a little difficult to navigate once inside. The spaces between the different vendors can be narrow.“
“A warm inviting Irish bar with- surprise! A beautiful stage set up with wonderful sound man and of course-Sunday nights the treat is seeing legendary music promoter FRANK WOOD work his magic.Another surprise - the bar regulars actually come to the back room to listen to the music! Friendly crowd , nice bartenders, generous drinks! Easily accessible from R train- come visit this gem of a bar!“
“I have been going to one bar or another for over 50 (!) years, but my search for the best bar has ended. Deacon Brodie's is small, dark, beautifully decorated, and employs the three best bartenders I have yet to encounter (particularly Chris). While you can't get food here, you can get expertly mixed cocktails using the finest quality garnishments and an ever changing choice of beer. Two freshly refurbished bathrooms as well. A terrific place to hang out.“
“Wandered into this bar on a friday and had a delightful experience. Impressive service, great cocktails, delicious top tier bar food. Staff were friendly and attentive. The volume level is perfect for conversation and I enjoyed that they had ESPN on with “
“Amazing Irish spot. 1) The place is very cozy. It is a warm cozy spot on a rainy day. They also have couches, which is very nice. But, getting the couches is tough. There is always someone stilling there. Also, near some seats are changing stations, which is really nice if your phone charge is running low. 2) I will highly recommend the pasties, it is meat filled pastry with gravy. Unbelievable! 3) Their Shepard's Pie was great. But, ask for their gravy on the side. It makes the Shepard's pie go from a 7/10 to a solid 9/10“
“The absolute best dive bar I’ve ever been to! A friend and I came up from North Carolina for the weekend and stumbled upon Charlie’s…. 10/10!! We instantly felt welcomed and the bartenders are the best! Make sure you go on karaoke night!“
“My son and I visited JK's Boathouse for drinks and Thursday night Karaoke a few weeks back and enjoyed so much, I returned 2 weeks later. People are so friendly, lots of fun Karaokeers and Tabby the bartender MASTERS the bar and gets you your next beer before you know you're low!“
“The best pork cutlet restaurant. The best pork cutlet on the outside. I tried all of New Jersey looking for delicious pork cutlet. This is the best. I highly recommend it.Mulnaengmyeon is said to be a bit salty because it is made from pocha, but it was a bit salty to eat as food, so it was just that. The noodles were chewy and the soup had a thin ice.The boiled pork is perfectly moist and delicious. Highly recommended. The water ribs were truly disappointing. It was $45 for a small dish, but it felt like I was eating $45 bean sprouts. All I got were 10 pieces of marbled beef that looked like they were piled high on top.Inside is literally just a mountain of bean sprouts and nothing to eat. There are almost no other vegetables.Humanly speaking, that price is a waste of money. $45 is a rip-off.Still, I will go back to eat the pork cutlet stew.“
“Took a trip up to Riverdale for lunch. Met a friend up there who recommended Au Beal Bocht cafe. An absolutely adorable little place. A short walk from the subway.(Up a very steep staircase) Very charming place. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Had to wait a bit for a table. There was a large party in back that I believe took up a lot of the seating this place has. Food was great. We had the traditional Irish breakfast and the omelette special they had. Delicious! Brunch came with a free drink. We got the mimosa. It came in a medium size ball jar! It was yummy and left me with a nice buzz.I totally recommend this place. If you're up in Riverdale or wanting to visit definitely stop here for your meal.“
“First time back in 10 years since I moved out of the neighborhood. A wonderful young Lady Patti was working. My wife & I just saw a great movie at Regal movie theater. (Sneak Preview of the Jennifer Lawerence movie, "NO Hard Feelings" Very funny !! We went to play pool & have a couple adult beverages. We had more adult beverages than pool games. LoL. Patti was a great professional. When our drinks were 90% gone she asked if we would like to have another sip. LoLVery nostalgic going back to Veronica's. Wish Veronica, Eddie, Lorraine, & Butch all the Best!! Such a great Irish pub for so long !! All the Nest Red Roy & Flo“
“A very nice bar with a variety of beers that you will find interesting. The ambience and the decorations are something you want from a Manhattan sports bar. The bar tenders and waiters were super cool and polite. I had a great time there on my last night in NY.“
“This bar has been in the neighborhood for ever! It's an Upper East side staple. It may not be a big bar but it always gets a crowd here. Great place to watch sports, hang with friends. They used to have a nice outdoor shed that was split into little seating private areas with tvs and outlets and all. They also have one or two small tables right outside of the place. This sports bar has some games in the back if the first floor. They also have a very nice party room upstairs with its own bar and seating area. All the bartenders that I have met from here are all very nice. I recommend coming here if in the area.“
“A solid neighborhood spot with good ambiance, friendly service, and a proper pour of Guinness. Can't really ask for much more than that (aside from food, but they're working on getting their kitchen up and running). This is a fine joint to drop in and spend some time in - kudos to the proprietors.“
“This might be one the best bar experiences I have had. The lighting was perfect amount, not too dark or bright. The music wasn't loud, perfect ambience. The service was quick and friendly. Shoutout to Tim, the owner for checking in on us without even being asked. I personally loved the flatbreads, and spinach dip. And if you aren't drinking, the mango mule mocktail will make your whole night! 10/10 will come back and again and bring friends here.“
“Perfect place to watch the Yankees game if you are not at Yankee stadium. The Ambience is Yankee team friendly, I almost thought I was in the stadium. Great food and amazing environment and extraordinary service...Definitely looking forward to coming back here“
“I've been coming to the Quays for over 10 years, and it just keeps getting better. Every time you come, it's like a family get-together. The owner is amazing, staff is great, and the regulars, well, they just make the place. If you're in Astoria, definitely pop in. You're in for a great time!“
“I have been to the Raines Law Room inside The William on several occasions, and I was excited to try out this more relaxed environment. Our group's reservation placed us in a booth right next to the bar. Although we had some privacy, we had to rely on the bartender to take our orders.Even though the bar was located below the speakeasy, it was just a regular bar with cocktails on the pricey side. I suggest getting the beer and food instead. The salmon burger, regular burger, grilled cheese, and shepherd's pies were all delicious.“
“Great local Irish bar. I was staying a week at a nearby hotel and this place had the exact Irish bar feel I needed. I instantly felt like a regular they were glad to see, coming and going. Proper for an Irish place. Good pours on the beers. I was here for the first 2016 Presidential Debates and there was a lot of opinions, but in true NYC style, nobody got bent, no matter how much of a (&%$g idiot the other person was.“
“I frequently visit this place with my girlfriend since it’s down the block from my house. I love the food and the service is great Christina and Kristen are amazing. Jackie is kind of rude so that’s the only downside and I tend to avoid the place when she’s bartending or hanging out with her friends there. Other than that I love coming here. Try to Mac and cheese get it well done and order some of the sliders and you’re golden!“
“I haven't been here in ages but still a solid restaurant/bar in Times Square. Came here after work with a colleague on Valentine's Day. We got here early so it was quiet but picked up as we were leaving. Muscles were plump, tender and delicious and come with crispy fries. I was too busy eating and forgot to take photos. It was her first time trying muscles and she liked them. *yay* she ordered truffle croquettes but they just tasted like potatoes unfortunately. Solid beer selection. We had a waffle for dessert which was crispy and chewy... and delicious.“
“If you are looking for a cozy chill sports bar on Upper East side look no further. The Raven was just that. It may have been because I went at an off time sort of but very few people were there, bartender was super nice and beer selection was great. They have games through out the bar for us to play. Jenga and connect four just to name a few. I am sure it gets crowded on weekends a d for sports games. But nothing bad to say about this bar at all. Highly recommend checking it out.“
“An absolute gem of an Irish pub! From the warm, inviting atmosphere to the delightful fusion menu, every visit here is a treat. The spaghetti and salmon dish is a revelation - perfectly cooked pasta paired with succulent salmon, topped with a flavorful sauce that keeps me coming back for more. Barbecue chicken. The friendly staff always make me feel like family, and the selection of drinks is top-notch. Whether you're craving classic Irish fare or something a bit different like this amazing pasta dish, this pub delivers excellence every time. A must-visit for anyone in search of great food, great drinks!“

Stir fry pork belly with kimchiAnother delicious dish hahahaha! !✅Extremely Spicy Pig FeetThe charcoal-grilled pig's trotters have their own aroma! Then make it Korean spicySpicy and refreshing! The texture is glutinous and super delicious! !I could eat another plate of this collagen hahaha! !If you are nearby, you can have lunch or something.I feel very satisfied! ! Hope you like it too~“
“What a great bar! Met a friend after work for a drink. It was the perfect atmosphere, quiet and low key. The bar has a really great selection of whiskeys/whiskys. The bartender was super knowledgeable and really knew her stuff (which was great for a novice like me). For those in the neighborhood, it's such a fantastic place to grab a drink and learn more about whiskey/whisky.“
“a nice no frills old school irish pub in astoria where you can enjoy some drinks while watching sports without the loud obnoxious bar vibe that many astoria bars are infamous for. dropped in with my buddies after having dinner nearby and the friendly chill relaxing vibe is just what a non drinker can appreciate. no food is serves from what i can see on the limited menu but i think food from outside is allowed. if you prefer the anti loud, anti doche , anti frat boys hangout , i recommend daly's pub without any hesitation.“
“Food is always delicious! Emily is usually our server and is always smiling and very attentive and quick! We love coming to Doubleday's for Monday bingo, it's such a wonderful atmosphere that reminds us of cheers where everyone knows your name.“
“Proper pints & delicious food; centrally located, & very clean inside & friendly staff. Their chipotle Caesar salad is off the hook, & their Buffalo wings are also on point. There is no shortage of good places to eat around here, but when I am in the area again, this is def where I'm going. Damn - just thinking about how good my lunch was here is making me hungry !“
“Stopped in here quick for drinks and fast eats. Got the $10 special of a Bush Light and Shot. We also got 5 appetizers for $60 and it was totally worth it. We got 2 orders or chicken tenders, 1 order of fried pickles, 1 order of bread sticks, and 1 order of nachos.“
“If you're in the mood for a true UES Yorkville neighborhood bar, this is undoubtedly that. No frills but good ol'fashioned Irish hospitality. Place where you'll always strike up a conversation with a complete stranger. Never really that crowded but enough so you're not bored. Could stand to update the decor a bit but overall a nice hole in the wall (but on the corner) type of place. Go grab a cold beer!“
“Happened to come across this place our last night in NYC as we were wandering back to the apartment. We caught the free live comedy show in the basement (happens every Thursday), which was fun. The venue only seats 15 people or so, so the comics interact with you quite a bit.“
“Fun little venue. I went to a show where it wasn't packed, although I've heard it can get very crowded. I liked that I could get up close to the stage and see someone perform who I'd also seen at a very large venue in Philly. I didn't get to try their food, but liked that you can also get food there. There seemed to be ample parking where you didn't have to worry about competing with residents to find a spot. If you're looking for something gimmicky, you won't find that here. Just down a down to earth place where it's the performer who is the draw and who keeps your attention.“
