“I've eaten at the Rise n Shine on occasion and find it's no frills local hometown vibe inviting. I prefer sitting at the counter old school and watching the traffic go by as I enjoy a delicious omlette. The owners are very friendly and welcoming, and the food is excellent.“
“Try the blueberry pancakes BECAUSE they are more than just regular pancakes with lonely blueberries on top. If you are a fool for French Toast GO HERE because their selections will make you wanna bury your face in the plate. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere was great. Wherever you are coming from this place is worth the trip.“
“Great place for breakfast and/or lunch. The diner is small, with a long counter and two person tables and a few booths. The food is delicious and the servers friendly and attentive.Normally I only order homemade hash, but Gloria (our server) exclaimed that theirs was really good (even out of the can) and she was right. It was perfectly made and tasty, with crunchy well done edges. It was crowded when we arrived (noon), but plenty of seating after 1pm.The diner is not wheelchair accessible, but there is an outdoor space that may be accessible in the warm months (outdoor space was closed today). There are steps leading up the front door, and the inside is pretty tight, as far as maneuverability.Few parking places out front, but plenty of street parking on a quiet street. Will definitely return!!“
“Small cafe/diner offering breakfast and lunch. Nice menu offering a good variety. Tasty omelettes and sandwich options. We last visited on a Sunday and the place was quite busy, but seating was available after a short 5 minute waitThis place gets quite busy on the weekends. Meter parking available.“
“Me and my boyfriend go every week on our day off! We love going for breakfast we normally get the #2 their food is amazing and the prices are great as well! Love talking to the staff they are very personable and the atmosphere is nice as well! Highly recommend!“
“Very good breakfast. Hit the spot. Went around 10:30 place was full but was able to get a seat pretty quickly. I had a belly buster omelet and my mother had eggs over easy with a ham steak. We both had coffee. Hers was nice mine was hot. Our bill was roughly 10 dollars cheaper than most of the breakfast places we go to, only catch is CASH ONLY - but super worth it.“
“Sheer excellence! Everything here was perfect. From the energy, to the aesthetic, to the food and the portions, the staff, the mini shop out front, everything. The owners did an excellent job at creating this place and it shows in every single detail.“
“I know a good bagel from years of working in Manhattan and the bagels here are as good as any I had in the City and adjacent boroughs. Fresh out of their ovens @ 6 AM you'll never get a better one unless you hit "Hot Bagels" in Oakhurst or the bagels from a place in Red Bank--sorry can't remember the name.“
“Pretty good breakfast/lunch chain restaurant. Good selection of dishes, nice atmosphere, but I'm slightly disappointed as the last 4/5 times they did not get my order correct. Not sure if the service or the cook was responsible? Food is VG overall, just can't get it your way! Just missing the mark here for me...“
“This place is really good. Very enjoyable spot to have a meal. Loved that they have outside seating options. Food was very tasty. Everything we tried was good not an issue with any of it. Great cheese fries. Pancakes are delicious. Pretty good variety of options. Also really enjoyed drinking my coke from a huge mason jar. Staff was very friendly and all seemed to work together as a team in there. Lots of smiles. The restaurant is in perfect location on the water. Will definitely be coming back again.“

“Small quaint diner on the corner with 6 booths, 6 tables, and 6 barstools. Service was fast, and portions were large. 3 chicken tenders on a large Belgian waffle and lox hollandaise with 2 hashbrowns couldn't be finished by my wife and I. Food was fresh and great, coffee bottomless and menu robust. $36 including tip.Vegetarian options: Omelets, sandwiches and moreParking: May have to check side streetsKid-friendliness: Kids were there when we went“
“Arrived and was greeted by the counter/cashier staff member. She took my order promptly. The gentleman preparing my pastrami sandwich confirmed my order since I didn't want any mustard. I had Macaroni Salad and Cole Slaw instead of French Fries. A nice portion of salads and they tasted fresh. An enjoyable sandwich with fresh bread and a nice portion of Pastrami. Wish I had asked for salt and pepper for my salads. I enjoyed a Diet Peach Snapple with my sandwich. I will visit again when in the area.“
“Apple Street Kitchen is a little, neighborhood gem. It’s slightly off the beaten track. After you discover it, I promise you’ll become a fan for life. They are known for using the freshest, locally sourced ingredients. They do try to refresh their menu every season. That way it stays current. Check them out if you’re looking for a cute breakfast or lunch place. They also have outdoor seating in their garden area in the warmer months.“
