“We have frequented Woody's for years. However, this experience was not as great as usual. To start our waitress seemed not to like us for some reason. Her demeaner with us was stoic while jovial with other tables. Secondly, they made changes to the menu that I don't care for, like the guacamole on the blackened chicken tacos. Just add Baja sauce. Also, the salad lack today's salad expectations. For one, the dressings are thick and processed. They need to be fresh prepared in house. Also, bring back the old recipe for the drunken clams. It was the best around and we've tried many. It's all there at Woody's for a nice casual meal. It just needs to be rejuvenated.“
“Energy. Good food. Good people. Great work Nicole, Hilary and the gang. Your warmth and commitment is palpable. The love exudes from the front door to the plate. The food was delicious; lasagne soup, mouthwatering meatloaf and red velvet cake. Thank you for what you do.“
“I had the Octopus and Calamari in a delicious broth. I enjoyed it very much. Two family members had the Scallops special and they said it was very good. The other family member had the pork chop special and he loved it. Try the muscles appetizer, it’s phenomenal!!! Our waitress was knowledgeable and very polite. The dining room is clean but a bit cramped. The place is a bit small and noisy but it was a nice meal. It’s a byob establishment, bring some wine or beer and have a good time.“
“I've eaten at Drew's a few times, and they have leveled UP with their new location. The food is absolutely incredible, the restaurant is beautiful and welcoming with a really cool open kitchen and chef's table, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure my party had a great night. And I have to add to the chorus - the Voodoo Shrimp really IS that good! Everyone who orders the pork chop special always loves it, I love the crawfish étouffée, and the escargot was very good too. I can't imagine there's a bad thing to eat here!Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating and understanding of dietary restrictions, and very thorough in ensuring nothing snuck through!“
“While I no longer live in New Jersey, every time I visit my family, I try to stop by The Buttered Biscuit. It is truly one of my top 5 brunch experiences in the country, and I’ve had a lot of brunch experiences in my life. It’s always busy and humming with energy. The benedicts are divine, the coffee is incredible, and the biscuits are absolute heaven. Highly recommend a visit. It’s worth the wait!“
“Forget the fried chicken , forget the name of this place: get the mixed platter. Get the kabobs. Amazing flavor. Some of the best food I've ever eaten, and I eat a LOT of food. Everything we ordered was amazing. And we didn't order any fried chicken“
“One of my most favorite happy hours in town and even when you do have to pay full price it is always worth it. The Gin & Jam is the best cocktail ever and I always get the meatball bowl & vegan kale caesar salad. Could not recommend this place enough!“
“We have been to Fresh a number of times, they consistently have excellent food and the staff is great. The atmosphere is relaxed, maybe a little loud, but that is because everyone is having a great time. I know we always have a great time there, we will continue going.“
“I've eaten at the Rise n Shine on occasion and find it's no frills local hometown vibe inviting. I prefer sitting at the counter old school and watching the traffic go by as I enjoy a delicious omlette. The owners are very friendly and welcoming, and the food is excellent.“
“My first visit to Porcini was a wonderful experience, we went for a 3-course prix fixe Valentine's menu and loved every dish. We are already planning a return visit to work through the regular menu. Wonderful service and everything was delicious!“
“I absolutely love the atmosphere thie place has. It's warm and inviting. The food is always great and consistent. I've ordered the streak frites and it's delicious like melts in mouth tender and flavorful. The bread with cheese is ridiculous as a starter meaning it's amazing. The specials are always good and fresh. Great friendly staff with a great view and consistent great food.Vegetarian options: Good options“
“Jean, our server was pleasant, high energy, fast, quick witted, most attentive and will become your best friend as soon as you meet her. Food and cocktails were outstanding !! Live music by Andy Russo was a pleasant surprise - playing all of our favorite Bruce songs with a special guest joining him playing Stevie Nicks Landslide! Mr C’s was one of the most pleasant dining experiences we’ve had since we’ve moved to Asbury park. This dining experience will not disappoint! We will be back in the near future and cannot wait to be back here in the summer and go up to the sunset deck!“
“Dedicated Gluten-free restaurant, if you are Celiac or just have gluten intolerance you can eat here without worry of kitchen cross contamination. I LOVE the Turkey Burgers here, they come with a very nice Arugula salad on the side. Bun is toasted to perfection and the patty is cooked beatiful with a nice slight char on the outside but still juicy on the inside. My only wish is that Turkey Burgers be available for dinner as well. I usually order two at lunch and save the other in fridge for later. Reheats really nice in the oven at 325. I also LOVE the Brownie's, please never get rid of them! ?“
“Fantastic restaurant. As good as the food is and the food is awesome the staff is even better. Danielle and Maria make you feel welcome and like family. I had a surprise bday party there and I can’t say enough how happy everyone left Great food great people great time“
“Me and my boyfriend go every week on our day off! We love going for breakfast we normally get the #2 their food is amazing and the prices are great as well! Love talking to the staff they are very personable and the atmosphere is nice as well! Highly recommend!“
“A nice casual local family spot if you're looking for a decent meal at a reasonable price. The Grandma pie is excellent, especially if well-done. We've also had their garlic knots, zucchini sticks and several different dinners - including some nightly specials. Portions are generous and come out hot. Dinner salads are fresh and served cold. Water and soft drinks are large. Comfortable and clean dining area with booths and tables. Friendly vibe.“
“I come here often. You will wait for a seat. You will wait for your food and it's worth it. Love the staff. The ladies the young men are marvelous. I drive far to come here. It's worth it. My coffee mug is never even halfway empty.“
“We had a family party in the back room and it was great. The room was perfect, they have doors that can close it off to keep it private. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was excellent with very generous servings. They want above and beyond for a very reasonable price. I will be using the place again for a private party or just to have dinner.“
“The food here is what it is a menu put together by someone who wants to sell drunk, but drinks are good. The atmosphere is loud but fun. It feels like it represents the city well. You are not going to get gourmet food but you will probably have a good time.“
“Start-to-finish delicious. Dishes were all prepared with care. Added acoustic panels to help with the noise. Can't wait to go back.Edit: just had the covid curbside take out. It was fantastic. This place is awesomeEdit2: been a favorite restaurant for years now.“
“The food is always good quality and constant . Service is excellent, all staff is extremely pleasant. Burgers are great, Sushi looks excellent. (not a seafood eater). Wish there was a change in the chicken option which has been the same for quite some time. A good go to place!“
“Love the farm to table concept and ever changing menu. But...much aroma with not enough substance. Second time we've returned food to kitchen as it was cold. Pork chop is a venerable go to. Lamb shank lacked flavor. This place isn't bad it's just not up to where it could be. And that's a shame because we really want to go more.“
“I recently tried Maloneys on Main and had their patty melt, which was delicious. The flavors melted together perfectly, creating a satisfying meal. I sat at the bar and paired it with a blond beer, which I don't typically drink, and it was a surprisingly great combination. Overall, Maloneys on Main is a great spot for a tasty meal and drinks.“
“Had a great second visit to Sea Grass! As mentioned in other reviews this restaurant is BYOB, so we started with our wine (which they nicely brought an ice bucket for) and the oyster special. My boyfriend really appreciated how the oysters weren't overly salty and the pear glaze added a good flavor. Since we had such a large appetizer, we decided to split the halibut for our entree. We were pleasantly surprised when our waitress brought out two plates, pre-split for us. The halibut had a nice herb crust and was served over lobster risotto (and they definitely did not skimp on the lobster!!). Overall, lovely dining experience!“
“I've had the food from here a couple of times and it's always been great! I especially like the beef ones. I like the guava/cheese and dulce de leche dessert ones too but they're VERY sweet, so if you're not big on sweets don't go for them. I hope they're able to relocate after the mall closes down, I feel bad because they lost their location in Long Branch and now a similar situation is forcing them out of Eatontown. Regardless, I wish them well, the food is delicious and the service is great.“
“Jamian's is my favorite spot in town to grab drinks, eat some awesome pork nachos, and have fun conversations with my wife. The vibe is perfect - super chill yet lively. You've got the option to sit inside or outside, which is great for any weather. The bartenders are the best in town, top-notch, always fun, friendly and inviting. They also have great live bands that really elevate the atmosphere.“
“Friendly little dinner. I can see why locals like it. It's convenient, quick, and relatively cheap. Everything was bland though. It still blows me away how easy it is for restaurants like this that can still undercook and underseason home fries. There is nothing special about this place. Just another average dinner. Also, it's cash only. That's not a problem. I'm just letting anyone know who reads this that, that's a thing.“
“Triumph was a great location for our rehearsal dinner! We were able to rent out the space with two pool tables (which entertained the kids and adults for the whole evening) and a dart board. The drinks were served in the space so no one had to leave to go up to the bar and wait, and the food was amazing. The vibes were right in line with us and we are so thankful to all the staff for being so great!“
“We chose to have our rehearsal dinner here and it was the best decision! The wine room was perfect and they had it decorated for Valentine's day which was beautiful. All of our guests are still saying how delicious the food was! Corey was so easy to work with and made sure our night was perfect.“
“My friends and I came here for brunch a few weekends ago and it was a great experience. We went to brunch on the earlier side and thankfully, we didn't have to wait at all for a table. Our waiter was wonderful and helped to walk us through the menu. We ordered a number of things off the menu; the tres leche donut which was delicious, the grilled cheese & tomato bisque, the dressed greens salad, the brunch pie and the salmon lox toast. Everything that we had was very good and filling! The added bonus was that there was a live jazz band playing in the main room of the restaurant and was so lovely to listen to. I'd absolutely come back here again!“
“Beautiful room and attentive service. Food was delicious, but my only complaint would be that the Zuppa I ordered was supposed to include scallops. They apparently didn't have them or had run out that night (although it wasn't extremely busy) and without informing me, they just substituted some salmon- not exactly an even swap! I should have been told they didn't have a key component of the dish, so I could opt for another entree. It was good, but the idea it was advertised as containing scallops was a deciding factor in choosing that particular dish.“
“Dinner was great and innovative and made Perfectly. Pear Salad very good. Vegetable pasta dish was wonderful. Unique and so creative. Ryan our waiter, checked on us often and so Polite. He knew the menu well. Habe been customer for many years and recommend it often. Great for lunch and dinner is excellent! Thank you!“
“This is my 3rd time coming here and it's was great. The food has always been cooked perfectly, the atmosphere is great for a good time. I love seeing all the goat themes around the restaurant. The service was fantastic as well. Carlos took great care of us and had great recommendations for food. We'll be back “
“Went there for repast after a viewing at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home up Adelphia Road. About 30 people attended. Buffet ìncluded mixed salad with dressing on the side, pasta salad, hot crisp rolls and butter, seasoned mixed hot vegetables, roasted potatoes, penne with vodka sauce, chicken francaise, sliced roast pork, dessert, and coffee. Other banquet selections are offered on their website.Used plates were cleared promptly and pitchers of water at the tables were refilled as needed. The meal was held in a private room. There is also the restaurant which has musical entertainment and a banquet hall. Plenty of parking.“
“It was great on a Wednesday night during off season. The bartender was attentive & personable. There was live music. I'd love to go back with someone who actually enjoys the atmosphere and not on an slightly awkward second date lol“
“My wife and I recently got married at the Wine Bar & had a fantastic experience. Courtney Rosa and her attentive staff made our special day easy & enjoyable. The service was excellent, the food was top notch (with many complements from the guests) and the atmosphere was exactly what we wanted. We both want to thank all of those involved in making “our day” a memory for a life time.Without a doubt, book your next party at the Wine Bar. You won’t be disappointed.Sincerely,Laura & Ben“
“how great is it they the original owners of the Diet Gourmet have reopen in the same location in Elberon NJ. The menu is even better than before. They have all their old favorites and a whole bunch of new ones( pizza, flat breads, fish and chip, baked Eggplant) just to name a few. Also they redecorated the whole whole place from and new size to new floors, tables, bathroom repainted in light colors, rebuilt the whole kitchen with new equipment. And the original owner chef is back in the kitchen doing her thing. Healthy food at it's best, kosher dairy at it's best. GO Tomorrow.“
“With delicious food and outstanding service Drifthouse is definitely a must visit gem in New Jersey. We have been to this eatery 3 times in the past 3 months and each experience leave us with better memories than the last. Service from reception, to our server Gianna and finally management (Nancy and Hafid) is impeccable, providing a warm and inviting vibe. Lastly the food is just amazing and we can't wait to go back again.“
“Barnacle Bill’s is an absolute staple of the Rumson area and is a must visit. It’s a bar/tavern/grog shop that is somewhat trapped in time but in the absolute best way. It’s dark, loud and crowded but it just feels perfect. Burgers are charbroiled and the steak fries are great. Service is surprisingly good and the people watching is even better. I’m really happy places like this still exist.“
“Went to this restaurant for my friends baby shower, the food, service and atmosphere were exceptional upstairs!Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp that's accessible for those who need it to enter and leave the restaurant and appears to be ample parking.“
“The atmosphere in this cafe is eclectic and comforting, like going back to my childhood and visiting relatives! I was there with a group of friends, and everyone loved their sandwiches. I can say that my BLT was the best I've had in years...if not decades. It's a great place to relax over coffee after the meal, before browsing the the lovely surroundings and the crafty store (The Barn). I'm definitely going back.“
“I came here on a Sunday to enjoy a birthday brunch with my family and had a great experience. All the food was delicious, (the pernil tostada is a must have!) and the mimosa pitcher was a great deal for the table. Our waitress was very friendly and did a great job checking in with us during our meal and making sure we had everything we needed. I will definitely be back to enjoy another weekend brunch.“
“Was passing through for work and swung by to grab a bite before heading home. Unassuming from the outside, but a nicely decorated inside. I sat at the bar and got solid, albeit a touch slow, service. Had to wait a while to order after I wasn't ready right away, and again for the check, but the bar tender was solo so definitely will extend some grab. I got the sweet potato and volcano rolls and they were both really good. Fresh, flavorful. Thought the price was good too for the quality. Overall a great experience and I wouldn't hesitate to stop by again!“
“Nice size restaurant with a huge bar. Service was good and food was tasty. My only disappointment was warm fries. Hot fries are a must for me and most of the restaurants I've been to are the same. Guess I should get used to it or order a different side. I had a roast beef panninic with carmalized onions,, mushrooms, cheese and horseradish. Delicious! My daughter had a fried chicken taco bowl salad which she enjoyed but couldn't finish it. Good size salad. My son in law had the cheesesteak sub and he couldn't finish it either. Lol. Definitely recommend this restaurant!“
“This beautifully decorated space is a true gem. Cocktail menu is imaginative and the food wondrous! The menu is not overwhelming large but well curated featuring dishes which change seasonally. Our first visit was for a birthday and four of us were thrilled to be seated at the chef's table. Two of us dined last night and sat at the bar which offers a full menu. So between us we have tasted most appetizers and the halibut, pork, pasta, short rib entrees and cannot think of one thing we would change. It really should be noted that the staff there is among the most pleasant, kind and professional we have ever encountered. The bartender and servers are so informative and friendly and the chef is hands on and ensures the diners are having a very special experience! We are looking forward to our next visit!“
“I ate here but didn't stay here. I don't know if they have lodging or if they had lodging ages ago. Nice pub with a menu better than what you would expect for a pub and tasty. No 5 star restaurant, but when looking for pub food with a TV in view regardless of where you are seated, this is the place.“
“I've been here many times, so I'm surprised I have never written a review. Last night, I had the ahi tuna tacos because I wasn't that hungry and they do not come with any sides. My friend had the filet mignon with cheese on an English muffin which was kind of a weird combination but she said it was okay. I forget the exact titles of what my other friends ate, but there are pictures here showing their food.“
“Absolutely amazing if I could give more stars I would and OMG their crepes was OMG ?% the best ever!!! Real family kinda place too also another kinda "cheers" kinda place all gen x knows what I mean when I say that - minus the booze lol just really warm and welcoming nice place to meet up with ol buddiesKid-friendliness: Family orientedWheelchair accessibility: Parking for handicap and wheelchair ramp on site“
“MJ's is great place to go for happy hour. It's also not to be missed during the summer. Their outdoor dining setup is absolutely amazing. Right on the lake, they have plenty of outdoor seating and the background is so nice! The food in and of itself is pretty basic. This is not where the foodies and 5 star eaters go. However, for a nice lunch or happy hour drinks, this place does the trick! Typical bar food, some sushi options and sugary cocktails. The service is always decent and the place is huge so the waits are never very long. They also have banquet halls so you will often see weddings, private parties etc which can be nice if you like to people watch. They also have a DJ on weekend nights which can be nice but annoying if you are just coming for dinner. Not a date spot, but a great spot for a casual hang.“
“Apple Street Kitchen is a little, neighborhood gem. It’s slightly off the beaten track. After you discover it, I promise you’ll become a fan for life. They are known for using the freshest, locally sourced ingredients. They do try to refresh their menu every season. That way it stays current. Check them out if you’re looking for a cute breakfast or lunch place. They also have outdoor seating in their garden area in the warmer months.“
