“The food was delicious!Basa, wings, shrimp, green beans, zucchini sticks, Mac and cheese, onion rings…yum!Going back for the blackened Basa. The amount of food is very generous. I took leftovers home for a couple more meals.Oh, and the chocolate cake ain’t bad either.“
“Will be in April and May, hope to stop in.Hopefully the Bar has Triva tournaments, I am all in for that!Anita, I want to Dance with you! Also, we can plays Dart and Toast James Troy, The Retired and greatest Bartender in the History of New Jersey! Hello Don Large!“
“My wife and I recently moved into the area. I was craving some BBQ so I pulled up DoorDash (Id have preferred to order directly from them so they don't have to pay the fee to DD - but unfortunately they don't deliver themselves) and ordered the "Try a Little Bit of Everything." The chicken was cooked perfectly and the seasoning was delicious. The ribs fell off the bone and the BBQ sauce was some of the best I've ever had. And the brisket. I'm still having dreams about that brisket. The sides were exceptional - cornbread, yams and baked beans. 10/10 would HIGHLY recommend. Can't wait to order again.“
“Went here on a spur of the moment random type vibe for our date night. Atmosphere was nice, dj played good music. The only real issue was there was no wait staff when we were there. Bartender was polite, but never checked on us after our meal and drinks were served. He kept checking on who we believe was his son, who was in the same room as us however. Never asked if we wanted more drinks, how was our food, etc...it was basically empty when we arrived, but got somewhat busy by the time we were ready to leave. Had to track him down for the check. Would go again, but if no wait staff appear present we won't stay.“
“I heard a lot about Jules@market. When the house jazz band was scheduled we took the opportunity to check it out. The ambiance was great. A subtitled film noir projected against one wall while the jazz trio played against the opposite wall. We loved that. There’s an open kitchen design which really works in an otherwise tight space. One small minus is that it could be vented better. I came home smelling like food. Having said that, the food was exceptionally good. I read some reviews that spoke about small portions. My response is- if you want tonnage, eat fast food or at a chain restaurant. Jules@market is not that. Everything was fresh and on point. One drawback- most restaurants that offer sparkling bottled water also offer flat. I was surprised that Aqua Panna wasn’t available but Pelligrino was available. We don’t drink tap water so I was forced to drink carbonated water which isn’t the greatest for my stomach. Had I known I would have brought my own. Now the service- the staff was super friendly. I left over 20% because of this. But, to put it bluntly they need training. The food is great, the prices are high, the ambiance is amazing. The service should match but it doesn’t. I’m being specific in this review because I love that Bristol is changing and growing and want this restaurant to really really succeed. So here are my comments:1) when people put utensils together to the side it indicates they are finished and the plate can be removed. When it is open and food remains don’t ask to take the plate. 2) Remove all dirty dishes promptly- out bread dishes and used butter stayed on the table the entire meal 3) clear the table before bringing dessert. Looking at dirty dishes while eating the most perfect key lime pie detracts from the experience. 4) timing could be better. We waited 25 minutes for our appetizers and then waited again for a side after being served our main courses at separate times. Have someone follow the server and put the entire course down together. 5) Not once were our water glasses refilled by staff. We poured the Pelligrino ourselves 6) Never bring the plastic bus bins onto the floor to clear a table. That’s for diners, not nice restaurants. Use a tray to remove dishes if need be.I eat at high end restaurants and the service makes the night. That’s why we tip and don’t get take out, we like to relax and have a pleasant experience. I’d love to come back and have the amazing food ( worth every Penny) and have the service be more on point. The food is perfect, fresh, tasty, excellent presentation. The staff couldn’t be friendlier- really lovely people. The ambiance is great, quaint and inviting. I gave a five star because I think the service just needs a little tweak.UPDATE: After posting my review I was contacted by a man saying he was the general manager. I’m not sure how he got my phone number but I wish he would not have called. He was positively berating me about how my review was damaging, he had 15 people to keep on payroll, his family was from Bristol, and I just wrote the review to benefit myself. I could barely respond. He was erratic and attacking. It was off putting considering my teenage son was in the car as he wouldn’t let up and was on speaker. At first I tried speaking with him. I felt my review was good, fair, and spoke very highly about everything except the service- which others have critiqued similarly here on google review. After five minutes of him venting I was still trying to make things right and asked if I could make a suggestion. His response was very rude. He said,” if you make it quick.” At that point I realized that whatever is going on in his life- he decided to take it out on me. I was done. I said,” Never mind. Have a good day.”I later heard that the jazz house band who I was seen talking to was fired and told that I complained about the music. That’s absurd and a lie. They were fired as some sort of weird retribution or maybe they can’t afford to pay them anymore and used me as a scapegoat. Either way this restaurant is not managed properly.“
“What an incredible event for our niece Angelina on her 18th Birthday! The family Nick, Patty and Alex Mastoris, down to the amazing staff that helped work Angelina's 18th birthday dinner was on point. The food, the amazing service and overall experience of how organized the dinner went. The family made our nieces birthday extra special that she won't ever forget. All family and friends enjoyed their cocktails, mocktails, dessert stations and prefix meal that was ABSOLUTELY delicious. Thank you so much Mastoris family! We will be definitely planning on a future party with you folks again. We are very thankful to all of you. Allison J“
“Went Easter Sunday. Table was ready when we got there. Our server 'Alex' - she was the best. Kept an eye on us to see if we needed anything. Food absolutely out of this world Nicely spaced between appetizers and main meal. Gave us time to digest. Absolutely must come here.“
“This joint was jumping on a Friday at 6:30. We would have been turned away without a reservation. The pork chop scarpariello, short ribs and filet were excellent entrees. This was a birthday celebration, which is why we went a bit high-end. This venue at this time of night might be a bit noisy for some , but no complaints here - just an excellent meal!“
“If you want to be treated worse than the dirt on the bottom of the owners shoes, well this is your place. My girlfriend and I were recently gifted a 25$ gift card to Brookwood Cafe. We had never been, so we were excited to try somewhere new. It started off just fine, they were full capacity(it’s a small diner) but we were pleased to of been seated relatively quickly. Our server was very friendly(not sure her name). We both ordered a pumpkin coffee(4$ each). The coffee was very good, and we placed an order for a roast beef wrap and fish and chips. Well this is where it goes south quickly. My girlfriend ate almost half her wrap (they are very small), when she noticed a hair on her plate. We quietly told our server so other guests wouldn’t hear, she felt terrible and said she’d get a new plate. The server proceeded to bring the plate to the owner(male), who must of stood there for 3 minutes looking at it in customers eye view. Our server then brought back the same wrap including the almost eaten half, and the same cup of cole slaw( that was right next to the hair)on a new plate. They were only going to get fresh fries. Well this didn’t quite sit right with our stomaches, so we pulled the owner over(male) and asked for a new sandwich. “ Oh…… a new sandwich……..sure”. He ran to the back visibly annoyed and we heard him put in a order for a new sandwich. My girlfriend was so uncomfortable with his behavior, that as soon as he came back out she caught him and told him to cancel it and not to worry about it. Again, visibly annoyed, he ran to the back as we heard him shout to cancel it. As he came out again, he came over to the table and downplayed the hair we had found. “ It must of been an eyelash or something”, laughed at us, and walked away. Well let me tell you I had done lost my appetite as well. My fish and chips had three tenders(small), and I had only eaten one at the time she had found the hair on her plate. We then saw both owners( pretty sure their married) talking amongst each other, and the female came over to the table and visibly annoyed like her husband, told us “the sandwich is discounted on me, do you need a box.” My girlfriend said no and explained that both of us lost our appetite do to the hair. She responded” well the hair was only in your meal, not his.”, and she rudely walked away. Ok, that’s fine, we were completely done with this place at this point in time with no intention to return so we looked at the bill and she literally only “discounted” half of the sandwich off the bill. I went to the front booth where she was standing and asked her to explain why she only took off half the sandwich cost. She spoke to me very poorly. My girlfriend joined me at the front and said “ mam neither of us ate our meals, we will pay for the coffees( which were unfinished as well) and be on our way. She took our 25$ gift card, ripped it in half and threw it in the garbage and said “ you can leave now.” I asked where the change was from the gift card. This is where it gets ridiculous. The male owner starts puffing his chest acting like he wanted to fight me. He screams “ WHAT DO YOU WANT, A FREE MEAL TOO!?.” First of all sir, neither meal was comped, and neither of us ate our meal. We stood there in disbelief. The female owner kept pushing back the male owner, my guess is he’s had an attitude before with guests. My girlfriend again tried explaining we didn’t eat our meals, and the female owner said “ well you ordered it, this is the food industry and you find hairs.”……. Let me break down what she said, YES you do find hairs from time to time in meals, HOWEVER it’s how Management handles the situation to correct it. They didn’t even want to give my girlfriend a new plate of food after finding the hair. We left gift card-less and hungry. We also would like to mention that the gift card purchased for us had an added 25% tip as well to it ( gift card total came to $31.25)and we really hope if our server is reading this she received that.“
“I’m chef in the kitchen and I been cook 15 years . Let me be honest I’m super picky about food and I don’t like everyone’s food.Once food doesn’t hit my taste that’s it but Fusion Fresh!!!? Taste amazing . So delicious food, I wish I live close I would eat everyday and one meal can last long to me at least 4-5 hours( usually get hungry every 2 hours )“
“A cool local pub that serves amongst other things, pork roll sanwiches. I had never had a pork roll and so on a whim was suggested to try The Pines Tavern and it was pretty good. The service was exceptional, super friendly staff behind the bar, which I always appreciate.“
“Hadn't been there for years. We had a satisfactory experience but not as good as we had hoped. The menu choices were rather limited. My husband's entre was very nice but my salmon dish was lack luster and bland. Herbs and spices were missing. The service was very good and hopefully with the introduction of some more interesting entrees, we would be more enthusiastic about Acacia. We definitely will try them again.“
“First I would like to acknowledge our waiter, Joshua B. He was such a pleasure and so attentive and personable. The recommendations were great and his personality was an experience in itself. The manager was also amazing and my only regret was not getting his name. Now let’s get into the food…EVERYTHING, and I mean EVERYTHING prepared was delicious. The tuna tartare and lobster bites were my absolute favorite apps. The entrees were phenomenal. I have the surf and turf and my wife had the cowboy with the lobster and cherry pepper topping and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The atmosphere was lovely and the drinks ESPECIALLY THE POMEGRANATE SPRITZ and Pomegranate Sangria …AMAZING !“
“We were out of towners stuck during Thanksgiving and stopped in here for lunch and a drink. We sat out back on the patio enjoying the view of the river til we got too cold. First of all - this might have been the best chicken pot pie I’ve had, and I’ve had a few. Secondly, everyone who worked there was beyond hospitable and so great. I don’t know if I’ll ever be back in New Jersey but if I am I’m B-lining it here to eat another pot pie ?“
“Excellent experience. My wife and I went there as a belated Valentine's day treat for ourselves and did the 17 course tasting menu. We also sprung for the wine pairing. I think 16/17 dishes were excellent and there was only one that was "just ok". Wine pairing was excellent and pours were generous. My only advice would be to pace yourself, don't need to eat and drink everything! A little expensive but worth it for what you get.“
“We held a birthday celebration for my Wife at the Vault in their private event room. We hosted over 50 guests and the room was perfect for a party of that size. Plenty of seating throughout, and the room was nice and comfortable. Everyone enjoyed themselves and raved about the food! Last, but not least, Sarah and the entire staff at the Vault that took care of us for the 3 hour event were awesome! Helpful and attentive and making sure the experience for everyone was great. Sarah was communicative and helpful in putting together the event as well. I would recommend using the Vault for a private event. We are very happy with how everything turned out!“
“Nice bar, their vodka martini was perfect. They have a decent selection of specialty cocktails, and everyone enjoyed the drinks. The bar area is comfortable, the patio looks like a perfect place to hang when the weather turns nice. I heard the food was good, looking forward to going back. Service is good, easy parking in the back.“
“This is my second visit to The Dinky Bar and Grill in Princeton which offers great views of the campus. We were going to see a play at McCarter and it is so convenient being across the street. The Dinky has an intimate vibe. Being the original Train Depot the feel of the place is still a train depot which I love. The menu is limited but certainly enough to choose from. There are shareable plates as well full entrees. Very good food and drinks. Our server Kayla was amazing. She needs to be recognized because she was extraordinary. A very busy place pre theater but Kayla never stopped smiling Great experience all around. Will definitely be going again.“
“So this is a hard review for me, I live very close (currently). Their wings are phenomenal for the price and the kitchen is open till 10pm. I came in at 9:30 after a late night and the wings were just as good. Wings 5 stars, the rest is 3.5 stars. Atmosphere is not for everyone but a good time and the regulars are very nice. Free shuffle board and a few bucks for pool. It is definitely worth trying on a Wednesday or a late Friday or Saturday night as they are open late and know how to party. I’ve come on quiet Sundays and middle of the week, all was well there too. It’s a solid 4 stars overall and that is a brutal review for a place I truly love. **edit** alcohol is relatively cheap. Mixed drinks could use some work but lots of options. I got 8 wings and a miller draft for $9.89 (03/2024)“
“I went in today for lunch with a good friend who is fighting cancer and haven't seen in a long time. Her stomache is very fickle and she did amazingly well with the food. It's definitely leaning towards fine dining. Linen table cloths, linen knapkins, polished silverware, white glove service without the gloves. Our sever observed us without being intrusive. He only served the next dished when we stopped eating the first one. If you're accustomed to being entertained by your server, this is not for you. If you value uninterrupted time spent with your guest while still not being neglected, this is for you. I actually like it when the server is vigilant but not overbearing. I want to enjoy the food, take in the atmosphere and speak with my friend, and our server allowed us to just be present. We never had to ask for anything. It was brought out at the right time, our needs were anticipated and we were greeted by Chef Jason, who greeted every table. I recommend the truffle oil fries, beet salad and hand held chicken pesto. The presentation of all three dishes was beautiful. Thank you so much. It was a really good experience.“
“I love this restaurant so much! I went last night with some family and we had an excellent time. Our server was fantastic and the food was incredible. I got the house salad and their delicious fries which are my favorite. I also was able to get a nonalcoholic margarita which was tasty and made my dinning experience much better. Overall this is one of my favorite places to eat, I'll definitely be back.“
“Wanted to get something good to eat been to Outback and Red Lobster plenty of times so I gave this place a try and it knocked it out the park was super delicious the staff was very nice all the way around it was a five star experience will definitely be coming back “
“It's one lady cooking and taking care of all customers & she's amazing. The food is amazing especially the fried whiting & she works fast to get her busy day and orders out of the way in a timely manner. I love it! I just moved to morrisville from Virginia and I love it!“
“Had brunch here with friends. Very cute place, and the food and drinks were tasty. The server was nice as well. Main reason for not 5 stars is that the tables are small (so takes some shuffling of plates if in a group) and are so close you overhear the conversations of every table around you, and they hear yours. Not ideal for a gossipy girl brunch or flirty dates, but otherwise we really enjoyed the experience. Would eat here again for sure - I had the scallops and they were perfectly seasoned and cooked just right.“
“Great bar. My favorite place to chill and work via my laptop while I wait for my kids to finish practice. Staff is friendly and attentive. You can tell it is managed really well. Food is great. I recommend the chicken pot pie (Tuesday night special) and the Caesar salad with steak.“
“This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. A short walk away from Princeton University and all of the shopping of downtown. The heated floors in the bathroom were a huge plus for this southerner. The beds were extremely comfortable, as well as the pillows. The continental breakfast was delicious, especially the blueberry muffins. While this is a boutique hotel, the prices are fairly reasonable. I would recommend staying here if you're in the area.Walkability: Located half a mile from Princeton University and downtown Princeton.Noteworthy details: Heated floors in the bathroom were a wonderful touch.“
“Chicken was good and crispy. Nice flavors. The real winner were their sauces. Very good, overall good experience.Parking: It's part of Oxford Valley Mall and in the food court. Plenty of parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Mall is wheel chair accessible along with food court. Doors are to ADA width requirements along with automatic doors and door handles at proper height.“
“Elegant and relaxing atmosphere with a pleasant and accommodating staff. I met with Tara, who gave me a tour of the facility and reviewed membership options with me. Having been in the Restaurant and Hospitality industry almost 30 years, I was pleasantly surprised to see something that I don't get a chance to see too often- a working manager. Jay not only made sure that the patrons were taken care of, but was also not afraid to assist his staff in every aspect. Hats off to The Lobby Club.“
