“One of my favorite spots in the city. Consistently amazing food ☺️This time we got the duck rolls, crab fried rice, and karee pu noodles. All delicious and worth a try! The crab in the rice & noodles were sooo good. My all time favorite dish has to be the koong karee (seriously recommend trying this). There isn’t an item on the menu I haven’t enjoyed. 10/10 grab a resy and grab some delicious Thai food “
“Loved my entire meal! We ordered the crying tiger (highly recommend), the crispy fries whole branzino with chu Chee curry, and the chicken wings. I cannot stress enough how truly tasty every dish was. Cannot wait to come back with more friends so we can try more dishes because I cannot NOT reorder these dishes.“
“Genuine spicy Southern Thai food - they don't tone it down for westerners. Some dishes have an American/fusion twist like steak krapao but they were still really good. The sator (stink bean) with prawn was good and authentic! Service was friendly and although most of the reviews are 5* because they offer you a discount for leaving one, mine is genuine and I'm writing it after my visit...“
“I tried out Bua on the Upper East Side, and I'm so glad I went because everything for me was phenomenal. The food and drinks were both excellent, service was quick, and the atmosphere was very welcoming and inviting. They have a spacious outdoor area which is nice, as you get some good outdoor views. Plus, the staff was friendly and accommodating with all customer needs and food allergies/dietary restrictions. I personally do not have any thankfully, but they asked when I ordered and thought that was very courteous. I would definitely go back and recommend to anyone else.“
“The menu is the most delicious and authentic of Thai menus out there. I mean the sausages are all HOMEMADE! The best food by the best chef, Chuck. He is already a famous private chef and now you will be spoiled any day of the week! Just go and see for yourself or get delivery!“
“If you're ever in the area and have the opportunity, I highly recommend visiting this amazing Thai restaurant. The food is consistently exceptional, with authentic flavors that transport you straight to Thailand. Whether you're a fan of spicy curries, flavorful pad Thai, or refreshing papaya salad, there's something here to satisfy everyone. Don't miss out on this culinary gem—just go if you get the chance!“
“Such a lovely low-key friendly neighborhood eats. They've just been opened for couple weeks. Liquor license is coming soon. Love all the dishes we had. Very fresh ingredients and herbs being used, including micro greens and edible flowers. Drinks served now are only soft drinks but like I mentioned earlier; their liquor license is being issued right now. They should start serving alcoholic beverages in couple weeks. What we had today for three of us: Drinks - Raspberry Lemonade - Very refreshing beverage with a perfect combination taste of sweet and sour. Perfect for the hot summer day. - Thai Iced Tea - Typical signature non-alcoholic iced tea from Thailand. They made it perfectly - not overly sweet like most Thai places. - Thai Iced Coffee - Another signature Thai styled iced coffee. And again, perfectly made. Appetizers - Chive Pancakes - Big portion enough to share as a starter. Soft in the inside and crispy on the outside. Love it! - Thai Dumplings - Thai styled steamed dumplings with chicken and shrimp. - Fruit Salad (Special of the Day) - Mixed fruit salad bowl mixed of red apples, green apples, mangoes and grapes tossed with mixed of lime juice and other fresh ingredients of herbs and mints. Perfect for the summer. Entrees - Pad See Ew - Very tasty sautéed noodles with sweet soy sauce and flat noodles and Chinese broccoli and eggs. We chose to have it with fried tofu. - Duck Basil - Love, love, and love how they cook the duck with fresh Basil leaves and bell peppers. The duck meat is there - not dried out - still juicy and tender. Perfectly cooked! - Seafood Pad Cha - Again love the fresh ingredients and herbs used for this dish; especially, peppercorns, fingerroot and fresh lime leaves which they used in the dish. Dessert - Fresh Mango Sticky Rice - Not overly sweet for the Sticky Rice. So it was perfect for a hot day like today. Thank you, Glin for a lovely meal and very friendly attentive service. It was very enjoyable. We do appreciate the way you cook and use lots of fresh ingredients in your dishes. Stay true to your way of cooking. ***Love*** We'll be back soon and will try other dishes. Once again - Thank you. **The Uthairungsri Family**“
“Stopped by a few weeks after opening. The food was excellent. Me and my boys ordered a little bit of everything. Drunken noodle was great. Duck was great. Drinks were nice looking but I don't remember what I had so, I'll try it again. Wasn't super enthused on that front but definitely a fire spot to check out. Date night gem .“
“Our hotel concierge recommended this spot to us for a nice, easy casual night out. The food was delicious and flavorful - much more so than your typical Thai. The staff was pleasant and welcoming and the venue is pleasant. Definitely worth a visit.Vegetarian options: They can alter several dishes to be vegetarian. The tofu was great and flavorful.“
“Really love their service. Staff are really nice. Foods are delicious. Had a fantastic dining experience at this Thai restaurant! The Tom Yum soup was bursting with flavor, and the Massaman Curry was rich and comforting. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Will definitely be coming back“
“Came back a second time and can officially say Tong Brooklyn in Bushwick is the best Thai food I know of in NYC, in the same class as LA and Thailand. And one of my favorite restaurants periodt. Everything has been top tier and filled with delight and surprise.“
“I try Thai everywhere I travel. Believe me when I say that the meal at Fish Cheeks is incredible. Everything from the hospitality to the execution of each dish was excellent. We made reservations about a week in advance of our trip to New York. We were seated immediately and given some recommendations on how to order from the menu. A few recommendations from the Kin Len (small dishes/appetizers) and a few more from the entrees. I wish they’d made some recommendations from the sides because the greens we ordered were incredible and a bit hidden in their online menu.We ordered the morning glory (water spinach), steamed fish (branzino in cilantro and lime), crab fried rice, and chicken wings. We also got complimentary shrimp chips and the Thai tea. The morning glory was familiar, with all the flavors we’d expect. The steamed fish was succulent and surprisingly deboned. The crab fried rice was full of lumps of crab and umami taste without too much salt. The wings, dry fried with a zest seasoning reminded me of my travels in Thailand with fall of the bone lean meat.Only 2 things could have been better. I know that digital menus are the new norm, but ordering off of a mobile menu in a dim lit restaurant is tough, especially with an extensive menu that is split up between tabs. Secondly, the steamed fish came with a burner for the steam tray, but fuel was letting off an offensive fume that became frustrating after some time.“
“Absolutely delicious Thai food! The crab fried rice was incredibly good with lots of crab and not overly oily. The lemon provided a good balance of flavor. The portion was huge but since it was so good, I finished the entire thing (didn't even expect I'd be able to!)My friend has the beef short rib which I tried a little, and immediately decided this would be my order next time! It melts in your mouth with a rich coconut flavor.I also enjoyed the Thai tea. Could be a little less sweet just to stay healthy but the taste was great as is.“
“In all food is perfect! Amazing food, everything tastes good. I’ve been there 10+ times all very good experiences, only literally only one time the waitress ( didn’t look familiar to me) was a bit rude, other than that the food and deco and hospitality are all amazing! ??“
“Finally tried Sala Thai for the first time, food was good. The mango sticky rice was amazing!! Only critique is that service was almost nonexistent. Immediately after getting the dessert we were given the bill and 5 minutes later the waiter abruptly stated to us “can you pay the bill? I am done with my shift.” It caught my friend and I off guard. I’d return for the food, maybe just for takeout.“
“A great spot in the UES for Thai. They have lots of great options - I got the Khao Soi today. The chicken is super tender and rich. The broth is creamy and bursting with flavor. I got Thai spicy level which wasn’t really that spicy to me… I love spicy food though!Decent portion size for the price for the khao soi. I think the other portion sizes are a bit smaller for the price point in my opinion.Good spot for a date or casual dinner“
“The ambiance here is so warm, bright, and inviting! The staff here is very friendly and attentive. The food here is absolutely delicious and reasonably priced too compared to other Thai spots. This place is large enough for small to large groups; great for birthday dinners with a lot of people.“
“Bangkok Supper Club is undeniably the best Thai restaurant in NYC. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with a cozy and warm atmosphere that sets the perfect tone for a memorable dining experience. The host's warm welcome adds to the inviting ambiance, making you feel right at home. Now, let's talk about the food--it's simply outstanding. I highly recommend trying the Lin Yang (beef tongue) grilled charcoal, a dish that bursts with flavor and tenderness. Another must-try is the octopus with fried onion, a delightful combination of textures and tastes that leave a lasting impression. What truly sets Bangkok Supper Club apart, though, is the exceptional service. I can confidently say it's the best I've ever experienced. The servers Pat are attentive, knowledgeable, and go above and beyond to ensure your dining experience is nothing short of extraordinary. Overall, Bangkok Supper Club is a gem in NYC's culinary scene, offering not just incredible food but also a welcoming atmosphere and top-notch service that make every visit a delight.“
“Royal Pad Thai is very delicious! Not too sour or spicy. There are very special egg pancakes and shrimps.MOO-OBB NAM PUAUNG is seasoned grilled pork chop, perfect for flavor! ! delicious! !Kao Tang Na Tung appetizer, rice pancakes with meat sauce on top, surprisingly delicious! !Red curry crispy duck, coconut milk-flavored duck, super delicious“
“I usually don’t step foot in Brooklyn but when you’re here, might as well try what is heavily recommended, and that came in the form of Ugly Baby! We were instantly welcomed and you’re treated to a cozy little place that is so colorful! It instantly cheered up my cold wet self since it was raining outside. The waiters were so patient with explaining the levels of spice, and so so sooo attentive with everything! The food was amazing, we had the Panang Nuer (Beef shank and cumin red curry) and the Gai Nor Mai Dong (Chicken thigh, pickled bamboo shoot, red curry) this was their fabulous winter menu! Endless amount of refillable rice, since I had a lot of them, was a must for all the meat we got in the Panang Nuer! Gluten free is also marked clearly on the menu with an asterisk. Highly recommend coming here! A short walk from the train station!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free clearly marked!“
“I love coming here on my lunch break. They have a lunch special, a small app and then a full entree for 10.95! I usually get the spring rolls, but I always change up what I eat as the main because the food is amazing here. Also! It’s mango sticky rice season, please eat it, I am obsessed!!!!“
“Food overall was delicious, I tried one of the cocktails was also well made and tasty. Was a little noisy but expected from a popular restaurant. Service was great and always ask if we are good with everything or if we needed anything. A must try when in time square.“
“Lemongrass Brooklyn gets a 11/10 for me! The food was just as delicious as it looks and not only that the interior was STUNNING as well. I definitely did not feel like I was in Brooklyn. I enjoyed all the dishes that ordered, I loved how they took time to present the food so nicely. Not only was the food presented well, but it also tasted amazing. My favorite was the bbq beef short ribs and mango sticky rice. Overall the experience was great and I would definitely be coming back in the future!“
“This was one of my most pleasant dining experiences in the NYC area. This little spot located in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn is worth the trip out of the city, and certainly a trip down the street.Let's start with the atmosphere and decor. It is such a refined and beautiful room. It isn't overdone, but right up to the edge of perfection. While I was sitting there, I kept thinking that I'd like to create an interior like this. Then, the staff greeted us with such kindness. I can't tell you the times that I have entered an establishment and wondered if someone even saw me. This staff was so quick to welcome us. It was almost like they wanted us there. The food was so well-plated. Before I tasted the food, I was enamored. It was almost too pretty to eat.I had the papaya salad. I loved it. It was the perfect balance of sweetness to heat. There was perfect texture. Some peanuts added with fermented fish sauce, shrunken shrimp and had a little heat, for those sensitive to that. Then, I had the duck meatballs served in a beautiful green foam on sticks. Next was the pad see ew with pork belly. I forgot the actual name and couldn't find it on the online menu. But, I didn't forget the wonderful flavors. I also had the crispy purple eggplant. It was prepared with green and yellow bell peppers in a chili pepper seasoning. This would be a regular stop if lived anywhere close, and will be must stop on my return.“
“amazing food. I recommend all my friends here. What I had the last time I went... App - Curry Puff - Thai dumpling Entree - Red curry beef - Khao soi nua Drink - Thai ice tea - Pi-lin (Mocktail) Dessert - Banana sticky rice You HAVE to try this place.“
“Quaint little spot serving authentic Thai cuisine. Rode 70 miles from Dyker Heights & decided to grab an evening bite & drink.Had the Khao Soi Chiang Mai as main dish. Coconut shrimp is phenomenal appetizer. The hot sake went well with the curry flavors. I would have gotten the bottled beer but $8 is such a waste, Sake it is.Indoor is tight & cozy. Outdoor is a bit much traffic. Would return again to try the duck & other curry flavors ??“
“We order take out from here often but dined in before too. The things we order most often are the Larb Salad, the Tom Kha, the short rib either in Khao Soi (as pictured here) or the curry version, Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, basil rice. I like how they have the options of crispy pork belly and crispy duck but after trying it 3-4 times, it's almost always overcooked and dry. Almost like it's been refried several times and becomes tough. Instead I'd recommend the rib since it's pretty tender. Definitely get Khanom Tuay if you like coconut, mochi-like, dessert.“
“Cute restaurant and great service. Chicken curry puffs were made with mochi (or tasted like) which was interesting.Sriracha wings and the pork skewers did not impress us.The garlic steak stir fried udon was pretty good, I asked for it to be more “al dente” and I think they tried.“
“This tiny hole in the wall Thai restaurant, serves outstanding, authentic Thai dishes at an insanely low cost. It’s even beer or wine BYOB. With so many outstanding Thai restaurants in the neighborhood what separates this one from others is flavor. Not only is the food prepared extremely well but the flavor of the dishes stands out! Unless you get there very early, you’ll have to wait to get a dinner table. No disappointments. Enjoy ?“
“What an incredible find! I love Thai food and this is hands-down the best Thai restaurant in NYC. The entire staff was so friendly and accommodating and took great care to make sure we had a wonderful experience. Even the chef came out to greet us and make sure he got the spicy levels right for each of our dishes. I had the Pad See Ew with vegetarian duck, which was the best I have ever had. Highly recommend!!!!Vegetarian options: The vegetarian duck (in the pad see ew) is the best I have ever had!!“
“Some of the best massaman curry I've ever had! The cocktails were also fantastic, and the restaurant space itself was really lovely with lots of plants. The menu is sophisticated and everything looked delicious. Would definitely come back.“
“This place is such a gem. I went with friends but it would also be a great first date spots with only 30 seats (plus another 8 at the bar) - started with the Kanom Jeeb Pak and Kanom Jeeb dumplings which were both delicious and my friends and I shared the rib eye which was unbelievably flavorful and cooked to perfection along with the pad thai (which they made veggie for my friend who doesn’t eat meat) and the pad see ew. The desserts can’t be missed (we tried all three) and the service was standout. Highly recommend!Vegetarian options: They were able to adapt dishes to make them vegetarian and also had a number of veggie options“
“i’m from philadelphia and i frequent brooklyn a lot. this place is always on the list for dinner! i get the lemongrass fried rice with fresh grilled salmon, and it is amazing! by far the best thai restaurant i’ve EVER been to. some nights i dream of the food “
“Authentic flavors and so delicious. The pad Thai was the perfect amount of sauce and so flavorful. I loved it!!!! Noodles were soft n chewy at the same time. Fresh crunchy vegetables. Clean ambiance and very friendly man working here!! Absolutely amazing and great prices.“
“Have been here multiple times and love the food, great flavors and options. The service is very good and the staff is kind. They serve customers with a smile even at their busiest hour where the wait is 1.5 hours. Don’t miss Roti Canai here. It is delicious!Vegetarian options: Roti CanaiVeg fried rice with multiple flavors/optionsPad ThaiNoodlesDumplingsCurry Puff“
“The food at Somtum Der was really good. My favorite dish was the Larb Moo salad, which was flavorful and paired nicely with a side of white rice. I also had the Sa Poak Kai Tod Der, which was also good. I thought the chicken could have had more flavor on its own but it was great paired with the sauce it came with. Their menu has a really good lunch special deal that I think would definitely be worth coming back to try. Our server was great and very attentive. We sat in the booths in the back which were a bit snug but the overall ambiance was nice.“
“We stopped by for brunch at peak hours without a reservation and the wait was only 30 min for 4 people. First of all, the Thai Tea French Toast ($15) is an absolute MUST HAVE. It was a unanimous favorite- the salted condensed milk and Thai Tea butter are heavenly. The stuffed cabbage ($25) was also a great choice because of the sauce. The phat see ew and phat Thai ($25 for beef, $24 for chicken) were solid choices, but I had expected a larger portion for that price. The disco fries ($13) and roti ($12) were okay. For drinks, we shared a punch bowl, which was STRONG and definitely enough for 4-6 people. Some dishes had a long wait and I did think the cost was high for the sizes, but I would still recommend coming at least for the French toast!“
“One of my favorite cheap eats in Manhattan. I cannot explain how much I love this place. You go up to the counter to order and the food is ready within 5 minutes and served directly to your small table. And even though the restaurant itself is tiny, there always seems to be an open seat as people eat and leave very quickly. I ordered the Fried Chicken Rice and it was delicious!! Although there isn't a lot of chicken, the fried bits are fried to perfection as it isn't too oily and full of flavor. I especially liked dipping it into the sour and spicy sauce which elevated the chicken. The rice is also to die for as it is seeped with chicken broth, you can just eat this alone without anything else. Also, the soup is incredible as I love how much white pepper they put into the broth, the flavors are so incredibly intense. I love ME Chicken Rice. Probably top 10 favorite eats in NYC!“
“I ordered for delivery to a hotel downtown. Thai iced coffee, pad Thai chicken, fried shrimp roll and beef satay. Good was decent. Beef was a bit tough, the chicken was overcooked and they gave me tea instead of coffee. Also wish they would have bright me some utensils as I told them we are staying a a hotel. I would try them again at the restaurant to see if it’s better.Oh and the tea was half spilled, but that can happen in delivery. Maybe they can take a bit better care in how they pack.“
“Everything about this place is excellent. I had the chicken satay and the beef pad see ew and all I can say is, don’t be afraid to try them out, you will not regret it!To drink I ordered the Lychee-plum and if you like sweet drinks, I can assure you will love this one as much as I did.“
“The food was delicious!!!! A friend told me that it would be very spicy, but I didn’t find it to be so. (Definitely had a zip to it but not too extreme) Service was attentive and pleasant. The only downside was the seating. The chairs were more like elementary school short stools. Quite uncomfortable, but I’d definitely go back just for the food!“
“Delicious food, very friendly and lovely staff. Beautifully decorated shop If you come during the day, you can take photos in a warm corner. But if you come in the evening, the photography angle will look different and beautiful in another way.“
“I don't know if it's a hidden gem or just a gem in the Financial district. My husband, mother in law and I had dinner here last night, and everything was fabulous. The waiter was very accommodating, as we requested hot water instead of regular cold water because of my mother in law, they were very nice and provided a beautiful teapot with small tea cups, such a cute detail! For food we shared the appetizer platter, coconut soup and a pad Thai. The food was incredible, so flavorful! The place itself is beautiful, we loved the decorations and the choice of cutlery and dishes. One can clearly notice that a lot of thought went into creating this place. I'd recommend it if you're in this area of town. 10/10“
“Ok, so WOW! At first entrance I was already transported to a Lunar New Year celebration, with the pronounced decor, and warmly invited by the friendliness of the staff. I was meeting a dear friend (snd former coworker) of mine for a long overdue catching up of years since last we chatted.I’m already a big fan of Thai cuisine, so it was just a matter of deciding on the dish that was speaking to me most. While we waited, I had an incredible MOJITO MOCKTAIL, which was perfect for the weather and the overall vibe of the day. We added on two orders of the KRA-POW PUFFS and those were simply divine! I do believe it was my first time having those and I could not have been more indulged. I actually wish I had some right now, thinking about it.For my main course, I had the SEAFOOD PAD KEE MAO…! I am grinning like a newlywed, that dish was so amazingly delicious! I absolutely, unapologetically, emphatically recommend it, y’all hear me?! It goes without saying that I will be back! Do your self a favor and way to V{IV} in Hell’s Kitchen. When you do, tell them Donny sent you. If you happen to see me there, you know what to do!“
“Delicious authentic Thai food inspired by the vibrant floating markets of Thailand in a great location in Brooklyn and the service was friendly and attentive. The establishment isn't overly decorated or saturated with themed decor but has subtle hints of Thai culture throughout the restaurant which is nice. It has a cozy and intimate feel but it's super casual. On the menu:Mama Tom Yum grilled river prawnsCrying TigerShrimp DonutsDuck CrepeFloating marketWatermelon mojitoMango sticky riceThe food was delicious but the drinks were lacking in flavor as they both were unsweetened. Not sure if the bartender forgot an ingredient because both drinks were almost like drinking a seltzer. Very pretty but lacked flavor.Overall 9/10Ig: Thefunfluencer“
“Very nice Thai restaurant! Had the lunch special the other day and it was super good value. Their lunch special might be a dollar or two more expensive than some others, but the ingredients are definitely more superior. Well worth the money. Excellent!“
“A cute little Thai Find which has amazing food . I think there is something in the NYC air! They have very limited seating but offer a huge menu !We tried their dumpling soup which was really tasty and the dumplings were so soft and good !Also had the Thai Basil Minced Chicken with rice , Warning ! It’s spicy but if you can handle the heat it’s delicious ?!And we ordered a Drunken Noodle which again was delicious, the portions are a little less if you come from outside NYC but the food is 10 times better .Recommended for great food !“
“The staff is one of the kindest in the neighborhood. The food is amazing, so are the drinks. It’s an authentic thai restaurant with quality ingredients.Variety of drinks (alcoholic/none) as well as food options. We’ve been going there since they opened & love it!“
“Decent Thai spot in Hells Kitchen. I enjoyed the small intimate atmosphere and service was friendly. Food wise it was ok but nothing really stood out and the flavors didn’t really pop as much I’d hoped they would based on some of the other reviews on here.“
“Ok and here we go I am part of an aircrew staying at the Lincoln Harbour Sheraton and wanted some non hotel restaurant food for a change. We tried Hi So, not knowing what to expect. We walked into the most basic and bare looking restaurant I have been to in many years (do not let this put you off) and took a table for 3! The girl on the front desk was very friendly and took our orders. We all had different starters and main courses! when they came, you could tell they had been made fresh and not half pre pared and actually really hot (which is not my experience in most restaurants I have tried in America) I don’t have enough space to talk about what we got but suffice to say it was all exceptionally good! In fact it was so good that we have eaten there 3 times now. Do not let the appearance of this restaurant put you off. Everything we tried on all 3 visits was better than anything we tried in this area and trust me, we eat out every night. Price range compared with all the other restaurants in this area is fantastic. They even allow you to take your own wine or beers and supply you with the glasses and cork screw. We now stay at weehawken on a regular basis and I will definitely be going back to Hi So Thai. Stars out of 5? I would give 6 if you are willing to look past the very basic sitting arrangements. Give this place a go. You will be happily surprised and there is something on the menu for everyone.“
