We did have to wait a little before getting helped bc each group pretty much gets a little history of where the place started, and there's only one person who speak to the customers. The ice cream seems to be high quality and the cones are made to order! I personally don't prefer the cone texture, even though they're fresh they're still a little dense. But I'd def come back and get a cup with a smaller portion of the cone.“

“My husband and I had our wedding reception at Crystal Plaza on January 20th, 2024. From the moment we stepped foot inside we knew our venue tours were done. The energy that exudes from the cocktail hour area, with dark wood and a fireplace to an outdoor atrium-like room, into the grand ballroom which is bright and timeless- it’s the perfect place to get married and have an unforgettable party. The bridal suite was like nothing I had ever seen before, it was gorgeous, spacious and full of light and the grooms vault was everything my husband could have possibly asked for plus more. The grounds are immaculate, the chandeliers both inside and out are out of this world. I mean, the place is just perfect in every single way. After meeting Max (who we love!!!!) and setting our date, we instantly felt like we had a new family in Crystal Plaza that were going to guide us through the planning process. We were not wrong. From vendor recommendations to simple questions that I probably could have googled, Max and Talmia were outstanding with communication, I wouldn’t have been able to plan my wedding without them. The food is out of this world, it was not regular “wedding food”, our guests raved about cocktail hour, dinner and traveling treats which we did for desserts. The Crytal Plaza team accommodated our every need, want and desire, no stone was left unturned, and the day went on flawlessly. “To say that I was impressed is an understatement. We attended a wedding this past Sunday for a daughter of our very dear friends, and everything was top-notch. From the moment we pulled up when the valet took our car, it set the right tone for the evening. We were greeted by several staff members who offered various welcoming drinks and then we were ushered into a giant room for an elaborate cocktail hour. The food was out of this world. There were so many stations: sushi, charcuterie, Asian, Mexican, paella, seafood, meat carving, I can't even remember them all, plus, there was a galore of passed appetizers. There were two bars setup on each end of the room, so you never had to wait long for a drink. The staff members were always on hand to clear your plates, and making sure you did not need anything. Then, a ceremony and the party began in its earnest! The dinner was family-style appetizers and then an entree for each person and for dessert, besides the cake, there was a huge Viennese table and stations. I have never seen such variety and we are really spoiled by amazing banquet menus at the Russian restaurants. This was above and beyond. The service throughout the entire dinner was lovely. Bringing us drinks, keeping an eye on things running smoothly. This was surely an affair to remember, and The Grove has done right by our friends who worked very hard to make this wedding a celebration of love and family.“

“Had the pleasure of stopping into Iorio Deli with friends Eric from Cultinary Road Trip and Tyler from Foodula. Had the chance to meet “The Boss” Gilda and her son Joe as well as the rest of the very friendly and helpful staff here. We tried a plethora of things so this may take a minute haha.Started off with two stuffed breads - A Reuben as well as a Pepperoni roll. The Reuben had a great flavor and the bread itself was tasty. It was slightly odd in my mind to eat a Reuben without grilled rye, but I enjoyed this. The pepperoni stuffed bread was also good and was even better with the addition of some sauce (they called it gravy and I thought I was in trouble haha).After that we were hit with some delicious Italian items including their house made meatballs, Italian sausage and peppers, and chicken Parmesan. The meatballs were just rated #1 in Central Jersey and #2 in the entire state of NJ at the Pizza Bowl a few months back. I could see why. Very tender, perfectly seasoned, and again that sauce/gravy was killer. To be honest though, I may have enjoyed the sausage even more! I mentioned how I didn’t get hit with that typical overwhelming pop from fennel seed and Joe said they make it with ground fennel so the flavor is still there but it’s not so in your face. I loved, and I mean loved, this sausage. The chicken parm was also very good but I had a small piece because I knew what was coming next!We finished off by trying two sandwiches that Iorio is well known for. The first was “The Jocelyn” which was a roast beef and Swiss melt on an onion roll, and the second was “The Sloppiest Joe” which was a North NJ staple “sloppy joe” but in epic proportions. The Jocelyn had good flavor and the onion roll was a nice touch and change of pace. The sloppiest Joe is sitting inside the top 3 I’ve had probably ever. The meats were freshly sliced and piled high, the rye was super fresh, and the Cole slaw had get flavor and added welcomed creaminess to the sandwich.As if there was any doubt at all - Iorio Deli in Roselle Park, NJ - Didn’t Suck!“

Pros The staff, from the manager, assistants, and bartender were all friendly and helpful throughout the whole process of our event when needed. They definitely went above and beyond for us! The food was really good too and come with a quite a beautiful dessert wall. Further they have some things some venues don't have, like a red carpet, wall lights, and a TV. Cons We did have issues with the speakers connecting with our music (Apple Music) but it may have worked better if you used Spotify. It didn't take away from the event at all! Odds and Ends The venue is a bit small which can be good or a bad thing depending on the number of people you may have. Overall, if you are looking for a small event and are in the area, I definitely recommend it!“

Of course, they are wonderful, but one of the side benefits is that Maggie Cooks helps you prepare better meals at home. When I had the trio of stuffed vegetables for dinner, I realized that sometimes more seasoning is better than less. After I tasted my wife's roasted salmon sandwich with basil mayonnaise and caramelized onions, I realized there is more than salmon salad. One unadvertised special is that every meal comes with a tiny and absolutely delicious dessert. Hire them for the holidays, but don't forget Maggie and Jane when you're thinking about what to have for lunch or dinner, too. My biggest disappointed was the mai'tred at the wedding not once came up to my husband or I or even the bride or groom once asking us if we needed a drink he introduced himself said he was there to help us after that no show. We waited on long lines just to get a drink. My other daughter's wedding we were waited on hand and foot. Especially the bride and groom should have been treated differently. lastly a little disappointed my baskets for the bathroon were never put out again I had to find the attendance to ask for them that something I should not have to do. When we received the baskets back they were empty there was no way every wedding guest took everything out of the baskets just kinda strange they wold keep everything?????
