There are several other restaurants in the area but they do not compete AT ALL. I have experienced horrible service from the other restaurants where they treat you differently if you do not speak their language. When it was time to pay the check, I noticed their new pay system had already added a 15% tip to the bill. I think tipping should ALWAYS be the discretion of the patron. Because my server was great, I didn't have a problem paying the 15%. I wonder if her tip is shared. FYI, you can change the tip amount at the register, but ya'll need to pay attention.Food at this diner is always yummy. The staff is great and at my visit they were on top of everything. We had ceviche as a appetizer as well as some Maduros and they were quite tasty. I really enjoyed my main entree which was a Mofongo saltado which adds a nice Dominican fusion/flair to it. For dessert I went with the flan and espresso and I feel like you can't go wrong with that choice. My friends had the tres leches and they mentioned it was super tasty too. “Solid spot for empanadas around the area. They were juicy and tasty with the sauce they provide. Depending on the empanadas, they range around $3 which is pretty decent for the size of the empanada. Workers were really nice and told us all the empandas they had and what the empandas had inside. We bought 6 empanadas and the cashier gave us a free drink with that. Which I thought was really kind for them to do. Overall, I would come back here whenever I am around the area and try the other foods they have.“

Inside is seating for 20, a soda fountain and a small drink fridge with about 10 options. Empanada are $6 but double the size you'll find elsewhere. I got the chicharrones de cerdo bowl. Served piping hot and fresh, the pork wasn't hard but had great flavor and chew. The sauteed red onions were a nice touch on top of a bed of fluffy white rice and iconic black beans. The squeeze of lime over everything married all the flavors together giving it that zesty acidity. $15.98 and well worth it, could only finish half.It took less than 10 minutes to prepare.Parking: Better off in the back or on a side street“

It's not the nicest place, but the food is always delicious and reasonably priced. Great lunch with leftover for $10 - $12. Staff is very friendly but many times difficult to communicate with because much of the staff only speak Spanish. Still, just point to what you want, and you'll get it. Highly recommend for lunch takeout other than all the fadt food places nearby or for a quick stop after work to pick up dinner. They do close early, though.“

“This place makes amazing chicken and ribs. It's about a 45 minute drive but my friends and I make a monthly trip. The fried rice is good. The fried yucca is amazing, the only difference is they cut them thinner now. Make sure you get the hot sauce if you visit, the chicken and ribs are good without it but it enhances the flavors making them better. The food quality is consistent and the service is good. The kitchen is clean, you get a full view. Staff is also very nice.“

“It's been months since Heritage was open and I passed by today and saw the new paint job so asked about the new menu and before I got half way through it sat down for lunch. I had the deviled eggs which were the best I've ever had.
