Restaurantji presents Corrales' standout Mexican dining destinations.
“Good service, the food is delicious, the ceviche is very fresh and has good flavor! The people are very friendly and with a good attitude and attention to the tables. The place looks clean and they have very good music! Excellent service from Miss Zoila!!“
“Let me just say how much I LOVE the Carne Asada Tacos ? here at Dogos V.I.P. .... ? ♥ The meat ? is fresh & quality stuff. Full of flavor and just the most delicious, yet delightful, crispy corn tortillas dipped in Birria Consome. I'm sure you can imagine how good it tasted. We will ALWAYS Recommend Dogos V.I.P. to all of our friend's & family and continue to be repeat customers getting the Carne Asada tacos whenever possible ? ?. It's THAT good ?? The service is 5 Stars too . All the young ladies give 5 Star ? service & The Manager is easygoing & laid back. Very friendly and professional. ??. Takes care of you. ? ?10 out of 10 RECOMMEND. They ALSO have Birria Taco's ? & Birria Ramen ? so cheesy and bursting with flavor. Go try it .“
“I had the patty melt with a salad. Was very good. Service was pretty fast, even though it was really busy.Parking: Parking lot in the back of restaurant is kind of tight. Handicap parking is in the back of restaurant. They have parking in front of restaurant and also across the street from the restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap accessibility from the back of the restaurant, also from the front. But no handicap parking on the street. Only in the back of the restaurant“
“Stopped at La Reforma during a business trip and came away very impressed. Great food, drinks and vibes. Service was also outstanding. Even during peak hours my waitress was very attentive. The food was perfect. Had the carne asada torta and it was probably one of the best ones I’ve ever had (I’ve had many). Perfectly cooked and very filling. Those chefs know what they’re doing. Topped it off with a Golden West IPA - delicious. Can’t wait to be return!“
“I've been eating at padillas for decades and we'll have to say that the food has been very consistent over that time and it's always delicious. If you're not a fan of onions then my suggestion is your tell your waiter or waitress to hold the onions because they're very liberal and the amount of onion they put on your food, I don't like onion. The tamales are very good probably the best in Albuquerque and the blue corn chicken enchiladas are also just very delicious.“
“I got the Bistec Rancheros. The beef has amazing flavor and goes so well with the eggs and potatoes. SO GOOD! A nice little place, with amazing food. The portion size is also large. I could not finish it in one sitting. The salsa and chips. Also very good. The chips also come with a cheese sauce. I got the horchata to drink. Very good. I am not a big horchata fan, but I will drink it again next time I come. Not too sweet.“
“I have seen some really good reviews about this new place and decided to give it a try for ourselves. We ordered the Taco Burgers and also had the chips and salsas. The Taco Burgers were a good portion size and did fill us up. They came with a fresh roasted green chile and that was a nice bonus. The 2 salsas were both very good but the green salsa was the best. It had some spice! The staff was super friendly and very attentive. We did not have to ask for refills, as they kept our glasses full. We did not have to wait for a table and were seated immediately. The dining area was a good size and had plenty of tables. Overall this place was very flavorful and we will definitely return. I absolutely recommend you give it a try!“
“This has the best breakfast burritos in town! Their chile is flavorful and hot! I love the bacon burrito where the bacon stays crispy and doesn't get soggy in the burrito and it is fabulous bacon. The donuts and pastries are also made in house and are so good too! The apple fritter are person favorites there. The staff is always nice and friendly no matter how busy they are! There is limited seating but even taking it to go the food stays perfect and hot.“
“This location has all the best things. Easy parking surrounding the building, prompt kind service and excellent food. My new favorite place for authentic New Mexican favorites. The salsa served with the bottomless chips is full of flavor and just the right amount of kick. It was so good to feel like the staff was happy to work there and warm smiles abound. Sopapillas sealed the deal. A+!“
“Love it!! Great service, amazing food, super fast, good & fair prices. My friend and I went to eat lunch there while on a trip because our Uber driver suggested it and man! was that a good suggestion. I had the lunch deal enchilada and my friend the chile relleno and both were a 10. The drinks were great and fairly priced. The salsas are BOMB!! so good that I had to buy some to go ? the chips are clearly freshly made so they're super light and crunchy..Would definitely eat here again!“
“Wow, what a way to make a first impression and this was my first time experiencing. I'm in all from the pastry selections to the breakfast at this establishment. I highly recommend the kitchen sink omelet.Parking: Spaces are limited due another business right behind the parking lot.Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome.“
“They were really good. A little pricey, but the staff was really nice and kept our drinks filled. I had the sweet potato fries. I wasn't that hungry. The fries were delicious tooKid-friendliness: Kids were there and they were well behavedWheelchair accessibility: There's ramps there“
“Ate here last night with my wife and teen daughters, we all had a great meal. Had enchiladas, flautas, quesadillas, all good. My daughter is a guacamole fiend and said it was the best. Also appreciated how easy it was to get additions outside of Mexican food, like fries and a baked potato (my daughter's favorite). Service was great, we were checked on multiple times. Also was a great value, when I got the bill I literally did a touchdown dance, compared to some other restaurant bills on our vacation.“
“Excellent! Papa Nachos has the absolute best shredded beef tacos! The first time I tried the food here was back in 2004, and I still love it!Consistency is key! Quality ingredients and amazing salsa and chips has me coming back for more!Yum!“
“I have been getting breakfast at Mick's since they opened. Their breakfast burritos with sausage, and green chili are the best I have ever had. Our last visit in there, we had a problem with the wait staff who is one of the owners. We waited several minutes to place our food order. My brother felt the need to ask if we could place our order. He was trying to let her know he had to be somewhere by a certain time. The waitress informed my brother that it's not her problem. My brother told her she didn't have to be rude. The waitress did not take our order, took our menus and told us to have a nice day. I don't care if you are the owner, there was no reason good enough for you to speak to my brother as you did. You also scratched my son's arm with a pen when you grabbed the menus from us. And you upset my son. I will not do business with your restaurant again.“
“Everyone was very friendly and the service was prompt. The food was surprisingly good! I never get my hopes up when restaurants says their chile is hot, but the green actually has a little heat ??? My burrito was hot and fresh, a great portion size, and swimming in green chile! Great job, Hot Tamales! Next time I'm in Rio Rancho, you'll be my first stop.“
“I went here for the first time yesterday, what a great experience! The food was wonderful, and the location and decor, perfect! The service and the plating is amazing. I can't say enough good things about this place, we will definitely be back.“
“Went here cause it was listed as top 6 burger places in ABQ. The burger itself was good but it had way too much stuff on it. I think I tasted ham, bacon and some sausage links along with the burger. Super saucy but the fries were delicious.“
“Great place for classic New Mexican food. We can't get enough smothered burritos, enchiladas, and red and green chili. All really well done by fast and friendly family. We also had a really good green chili cheeseburger, and the chili cheese hash browns are outstanding.Vegetarian options: Bean burritos, potato burritos, hash browns.“
“Loved this place!!!! I'm not from Albuquerque but grew up in Las Cruces. I was looking for NM style Mexican food made with Hatch chilies. SCORE!!!Sorry, all i photographed were the chips because I was too excited about the entre. They were not stingy with the chips.Get the choose 2, 3 or 4 combo plate and mix it up. It's all good!“
“Went in Tuesday with my cousin like we usually do and was beyond disappointed. Our favorite server Chris is no longer there. So many issues we get a special item and described in in detail price was doubled and got it wrong 2 times before we gave up. The cheese was watery and extremely spicy. Got light lettuce on our nachos and it was either dry or rotten. Sooo disappointed and to top it all off my cousin got sick off the bad lettuce on there property. Just all around nightmare. Might have to find another place to make our usual“
“This is the 2nd time we have been there. The husband had the Mexican turnover with carne adovada basically a stuffed sopailla. I had the Chicharrione & bean burrito with green chili. The service is great and the food is amazing. I did not know they had won a James Beard Award. Basically the Oscars of food for American Classic.“
“I got a chicharron burrito (lunch style- meat, beans, onion and green chile). The other reviews that say they have big burritos are correct! This thing was ginormous! (Like the same size as a chipotle burrito!!).The burrito was great! Chile had perfect heat for this white boy ☺️ they give salsa too but I didn’t try it.Speedy service and lots of smiles. Great place to eat“
“The food was goodish but it was missing something. Can't quite put my finger on it. The service was great. We were taken to a table as we entered. Drinks and salsa were quick. I had a chimi and my wife had an omelet. It was restaurant was nice but as the crowd came the louder it got and I'm not one for a lot of noise.“
“For those who have not been for a while. We use to go regularly when it first opened. The originals moved to another state and when it reopened the second time the service and food were terrible. But the third time is a charm. It now has great food, service and very nice people. And as others have mentioned, the chili, both red and green are great. Not just heat like so many others but actually great taste. Definitely is a do again.“
“Good food nice employees. A friend stopped by and was surprised they were all Spanish speaking . Then an anglo woman was taking orders and she was relieved . I told her they all speak English. She grabbed us burritos n some drinks which were all delicious. We laughed because she thought they'd be too expensive but for the size of the burritos it's not expensive at all.“
“The food was good, I had the enchilada suizas, which were a bit sour. I think the tomatillo may have been overcooked. Beans and rice were the best I've ever had at a restaurant. Waitress was nice and accommodating. Restaurant was way too quiet, needed music. Overall, it was a good experience!“
“My husband Paul and I popped in to try it out. We had fish taco, Baja Shrimp taco and a Green Street taco. All 3 were delicious but my personal favorite is the Baja Shrimp. Paul preferred the Fish Taco. Robert eas very helpful in our selection and he took the time to follow up with us at our table to ensure we were satisfied with our selections. Thanks Robert! We will most definitely be back soon!!“
“My family and I tried eating here but had a bad experience the first time around. Management reached out to me and made things right. Took my family and the food was amazing. We really enjoyed the taco plate and birria ramen. Over all we have found a new taco spot and I recommend everyone to try it.“
“5 stars for service, price, portion and taste! Melissa, Chef Ricardo's sister was the cashier that took our order. She is super informative, kind and patient in answering all of my questions. I learned that they opened in December, only serve black beans, do not serve rice, that it is a family owned business from Cali, Columbia, that they do deliver and take call in and online orders! Parking was the only downside I found about this place but it certainly wasn't impactful enough to take away stars. My only suggestion is to play some classic Rumba or Salsa music to go with the Cali theme! In final, this is a must try! While it was not the California style burrito I initially anticipated, everything was AMAZING! The portions are HUGE, the prices are VERY reasonable, the restaurant was very clean with indoor and outdoor seating options and the service was great! I will be back soon!Parking: They offer free parking, several handicap spots included but can be tight during busy hours.“
“I came to the one off Central with my dad today for St. Pattys. It was very tasty I had the torpedo.I was so happy they have the cute chocolates at the register. I got me cashew turtles and he got pecan turtles I will be back they were so good!! ☺️“
“To start, this is by far the cleanest food establishment I have ever seen. Impressive. I ordered online and my food was ready when I got there. It wasobviously freshly made. Fantastic eatery! If you work in this area make this place a staple. You will not regret it!“
“Delicious salsa and the carne asada tacos were great. Birria tacos weren't my favorite ever but still decent. The service workers were attentive and very friendly. The salsa bar... Delicious stuff there. Will be back. Also the prices were good,“
“You MUST visit Ben Michaels Restaurant near Old Town in Albuquerque!!! I cannot tell you how wonderful and authentic this place is. It is an experience, not just a meal! Ben Michael is truly a Renaissance Man and it shows in all that he does!We first went in December of 2023 and were completely WOWED by the ambience, aura and food! He is a master in the kitchen, garden, at the piano and in the realm of storytelling! He made us feel like we were the only people in the world and we had known each other for decades! I am not a foodie in any way, but this chef and his art of cooking made me truly appreciate the world of flavors and phenomenal food! The art and photos on the wall tell the story of a wonderful life and strong connection to family. We then had a private party there for my sister's 60th birthday and once again, Ben Michael made sure we had a wonderful time. He was so personable and attentive all evening while mingling with us and getting to know us better. He is an exceptional listener. Towards the end of the evening he sat down at his beautiful piano and sang a PERSONALIZED Birthday song for my sister!!! He took in all the great details and made her a song!!!! It was amazing!!!!As you can see by now, I cannot say enough great things about Ben Michael's!!! I would be typing for days. Please treat yourself to an evening there and you too will fall in love with this exceptional restaurant.“
“This has got to be the most authentic Mexican food in Albuquerque. I brought my white husband for lunch, and we got the combo plate. He said it was the first time he's liked refried beans, and the enchilada was at his limit of spicy, but it still tasted great. The tamale and refried beans were made deliciously, almost the exact way my abuela made them. The rice was perfect, better than my mom's, and I'd never had green enchiladas, but they're about to be my new favorite whenever I visit Albuquerque. The owner was very patient while I struggled to decide what I wanted. Everything just looked so good! She got the order out fast, and we loved the feeling inside the restaurant. It was very pleasant and I can't wait to go again!“
“Great little local restaurant that is easy to get to off I-25. The servings are large and quickly prepared. The staff is attentive and courteous and keep on top of everything service related. If you like fish, I would recommend the tilapia diablo plate for lunch. This restaurant is worth checking out if you're in the area. Do not let the amount of cars in the parking lot discourage you from coming in for a quick bite or ordering and pickup.“
“I try and get to em when I can, the only downside of a food truck. They have sole gf options and I appreciate this and every time I've been they are making things their own from scratch and not relying on expensive super processed pre made foods.“
“This little spot I have always seen just never have stopped to try . Today was the day and man have I been missing out on some really delicious food! Today I tried the combination plate , comes with tamale and enchilada beans rice and a taco! Picture included! I would definitely recommend. It is a smaller kitchen but well worth stopping in. The price was not bad either!“
“I was skeptical of another Mexican restaurant in Albuquerque. This place blew our expectations away. The Aguachile ribeye was phenomenal. Girlfriend had the seafood soup and said it was the best seafood broth she ever had. Definitely worth it.“
“Hubby, his uncle, and I came here for lunch. We were seated right away and attended too. I ordered the carne adovada and replaced beans with rice, and sopapilla, and hubby ordered 2 eggs, bacon, and sausage place which comes with papitas (potatoes) and smothered with both red and green chile (they call Christmas because of the colors). They also serve chips on the house as you are waiting for your food to be served.Food: Full of flavor, cooked right, and served hot (not dangerously hot). Even the chips were warm and tasted like it’s just made. The sopapilla is so light and yummy.Ambiance: The restaurant has outdoor dining but with the cold weather, better sit inside as it is clean and cozy. Just the perfect warm comfortable temperature.Service: Our server was attentive and friendly and warm. The entire experience was pleasant and I definitely recommend this place 100%.Parking: Ample parking infront of the restaurant’s entrance.Kid-friendliness: The place is family friendly and kids can easily sit comfortably with parents.“
“Get in the car and get yourself a plate of these delectable tacos! We messaged their Fb page to find their current location in Los Ranchos. They're in a sunny location with tables out front. The staff are sweet and shared their recommendations. We ordered twice the amount and when we got it back to our family, they demolished everything in 15 mins. We will be back regularly!“
“I eat here almost every Tuesday. The food is really good, and the value is incredible. $6 for 4 street tacos with a good amount of meat. No skimping on portions here. Owners are super friendly as well.My only complaint is that sometimes when you request a certain chile (red or green), they don't give you what you ask for.“
“One of the first things you see when you walk in are the beautiful vines growing along the ceiling, but if that's not your thing, there is another room you can sit in that is spacious and welcoming. The menu has plenty to choose from including burgers and everything comes out fresh and delicious. These are some of the best chicken tacos I have ever had. The chicken is super tender, juicy and lightly seasoned. The plating isn't anything fancy, but the flavor and quality will keep you coming back.“
“I don't usually give 5 stars to casual eateries... But the Chavez family provides such a welcoming environment and a down-home authentic new mexico vibe! Just like going to my grandma's for tasty traditional breakfast! Love this place!! Oh and by the way... They are also a "Better Caul Saul" film shoot location!“
“Wonderful mom and son place! The food was amazing, the chili wasn’t very spicy but had good flavor, and the sopapillas were fresh made right before serving! It was a nice little place to escape the chaos of the day into the comfort of my childhood food. The chili tasted like my grandmas. Thank you for the wonderful experience! :)“
“Amazing food, decent pricing and nice people! I have only had take out but still the staff was friendly.Parking: There is a second parking lot, it's dirt but it made it convenient for us to have a place to park so we could run in real quick. Not too far from building.“
“The Barbacoa tacos were amazing! We also tried the elote en vaso, and that was tasty too! The "hot" is pretty hot... so if you're sensitive to spice get mild! Their salsas were very tasty as well! Everyone was super friendly. Would definitely recommend!“
“The Range Cafe in downtown Bernalillo has long been a local favorite on account of a menu featuring hearty diner favorites like country fried steak and gravy, and zesty New Mexican classics like Chile Rellenos and Huevos Rancheros. Most of all, though, it's the genial, welcoming staff: no matter how busy they get, you'll never feel rushed. Stopping in at The Range always feels a little like coming home; the colorful ambience never fails to cheer. This visit, my wife and I started out with Rey's Nachos, a giant, confetti-colored mesa constructed of black beans, tender shredded chicken, crumbled white cheddar cheese and Mexican cojita, with chile con queso, freshly chopped guacamole and pico de gallo, fresh lettuce, chopped tomato, and blue & white corn chips, the whole thing laced with a lightly seasoned smoked chile crema. The best nachos in the universe. For supper she ordered the Country Fried Steak, a Route 66 classic consisting of a succulent breaded fried cutlet smothered in savory cream gravy, served with homemade mashed potatoes (with soft, buttery chunks of potato, which is how you know it's homemade), accompanied by a delicious side dish of yellow squash sautéed with fresh corn and onions. Her only complaint was that there was too much food. I had The Range's signature Plato Combinación del Rancho, which consisted of a blue corn chile relleno, two rolled lean beef blue corn enchiladas, one chicken taco dressed with smoked chile crema; savory pinto beans, twin moats of red and green chile ("Christmas"), the whole thing topped with melted white cheddar, and accompanied by a mouth-watering mound of arroz verde ("green rice"), an aromatic side dish consisting of basmati rice cooked with parsley, cilantro, spinach flakes, olive oil, garlic and scallions. I'll never eat plain rice again. My only complaint is that I couldn't possibly eat all that food. But that's a good problem to have. Two sets of entushiastic thumbs up!“
“Food was fantastic, just like the location I grew up by on San Mateo and Southern. Puerto Vallerta special is our go to menu item. The chicharron burrito was fantastic as well. Small area to eat inside. They accomodated our daughter's gluten free request with no issues. Very nice service, which we have come to expect. You won't be disappointed, this is top notch local NM food.“
“We happened upon Peres’s one Saturday last autumn , and their menu was a perfect example of selections that can be made for vegans, vegetarians or meat eaters. Jack had Posole made only with vegan ingredients and I had a classic potato stew. At the top of the menu they say the entrees can be vegetarian, chicken or beef. The restaurant itself was cozy and had a bar plus outdoor eating area. The food was delicious, not too oily and sizable potions. Additional note: the restroom was designed with antique cabinets and decor suitable for this historic building.“
