“I began my sushi journey at the OG Sushi Pier over 20 years ago. Instantly developed amazing friendships with their staff. Always knew me by not just my name but my “nickname” lol. Always amazing food, chefs are always willing to make alterations to requests (add this, subtract that, make it spicier). Whenever my OG Reno friends come into town and want to go to sushi, they always request the OG Sushi Pier! I’ve eaten my fair share of sushi, all over the country, and can hands down say OG Sushi Pier consistently is amazing! All this talk of the OGSP got me wanting, you guessed it, the OG Sushi Pier!“

“Kuma Sushi is by far my favorite sushi restaurant! I absolutely love sushi and have tried many different places, but Kuma stands out above the rest.
The atmosphere is so comfortable and welcoming, and the restaurant is always clean and pleasant. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the sushi rolls are amazing and always delicious.
What I appreciate most about Kuma is how the servers genuinely make you feel welcome. At some all-you-can-eat sushi places, you get the feeling that they don't want you to order too much. But at Kuma, it's the exact opposite. They are always happy to serve you, they bring food out quickly, and they never make you feel uncomfortable no matter how many rolls you order.
Great food, great service, a clean restaurant, and wonderful staff. Kuma has earned my loyalty, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves sushi.

“Sushi was tasty! The rolls are delicious, the service is fast, and the atmosphere is excellent. They were very busy when we went. The only minor issue was that the carbonated sodas tasted a bit weird, so I had to switch to a clear drink instead. However, the staff had no issues with replacing the drinks for us, which was excellent customer service. I have gone there once a week for the last three weeks and will definitely keep going back!“

“We went there for my sons 18th birthday. The food was great, the service was great and so was the entertainment. It was a wonderful experience that we do yearly or multiple times in a year. Everything was great until we received the tab. The fact that there is now a mandatory gratuity no mater how big the party is, I feel is wrong on so many levels. Because of the mandatory gratuity you cost your servers, staff and cooks more money. I understand having when with larger parties but we had 5 of us and the people next to us was only 2. I would suggest changing this or you will have others that will find other places to go. Other then that everything was great.“

Heard good things and they didn’t disappoint. Fish was fresh and good quality. Enjoyed all items: Tuna, Salmon, Unagi, Inari, Peppered Tuna, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Polar bear hand roll (my favorite new sushi), tempura mix, seaweed and cucumber salads. “The wor wonton soup is one of the best I’ve had. I can’t stop ordering it. To start, the broth is insane, perfectly rich and seasoned. And then you add the dumplings (I choose fried vs steamed usually), the variety of veggies, and all the garnishes. It’s a perfect dish. No notes.

“Oceano is such a great place. It serves quality sushi, seafood, and steak. All the food we had was seasoned very well and tasted fantastic. Quality control was on point even when it was busy. Service is good the waiters are nice. The only con to the restaurant is that because it’s so delicious and fantastic it gets busy. If you want to eat here you’ll need to make a reservation or plan to wait for a table.“

“In terms of bargain or bang for the bucks, HK Diner is one of the best in town, if not the best. The chefs aren't Michelin chefs, but they cook the food super well. Delicious isn't enough to describe the pleasant taste, and I don't have to pay an arm or a leg to satisfy my tummy. Every time I visit Reno, I always make at least one stop at HK Diner for lunch or dinner. Another plus, HK Diner opens very late, till 2:00 or 3:00am, to accommodate a night owl like me.“
