“When we got to Virginia City, the town was deserted. We were about to head back to Reno. Then we discovered this little bar. The ambience is amazing. At this place you have the opportunity to meet real locals. A clear recommendation for anyone who wants to experience some authentic impressions of Virginia City. A beer for $2 is also the best we've seen on our USA trip.”

“Absolutely one of the best espresso shops I have ever been to. The coffee and all ingredients were fresh, local, and handmade with care and love. Two people in our party ordered lattes and they were incredible and one person ordered some tea, which was also fantastic. I highly recommend stopping in if you’re ever in Virginia City.Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating to a dairy allergy in our group.”

“A little unusual in that you have to order your food on one side and your beer on the other side. I guess it's actually two businesses operating together but they make it work. Great food, nice cold beer and classic Virginia City atmosphere. The bartender was wearing a Harley shirt so we had instant rapport and great conversation.”

“Had a red beer with my little brother had some great conversation with 2 old timers. Of course had to hit the candy shops. Crystal Shop. I pay the 10.00 parking in the middle. So worth it!”

“We did not even realize this establishment existed. Tried it today. You can find it up the road on the right as you drive through and past the town a quarter mile. Very quaint inside. Extremely friendly staff. Our hostess had a great sense of humor, especially when it came to making some coffee. The food was great. I had the fried chicken (something different for lunch). The wife had enchiladas. Both dishes were great. The menu is a blend of some different items, such as Mexican, sandwiches and main entrees. As for service...We were happy with it. Then again, anytime your food is prepared to order and arrives to your table hot as if you were at home, we are beyond happy. We would not hesitate to eat here the next time we get the urge to visit VC.”

“If your looking for a lite vegetarian option in Virginia city look no further than here. This bagel sandwich was absolutely amazing. Let me just say artichoke. I was a little sad at the state of the grilled cheese but the flavor of the garlic butter they used was absolutely a game changer. And the sunset smoothie was delicious.”

“Out of the way, Sweet little old town dive bar. Mostly locals with occasional tourist. Ricky bar maid was as pleasant as a southern peach. All the patrons were super friendly and it was very comfortable. I imagine this could be a fun place on a Friday or Saturday night. I will be back for more fun!!”

“Ordered the tri-tip sandwich with potato salad and a lemonlime gatorade. Potato salad was amazing, wish I had more. The meat on the sandwich was good, but the bread was dry. Barbeque selection was also good. Total spent. $20 with tip.”

“Always a pleasure to visit. It's half of the reason I always make a special trip up to Virginia City whenever I'm in Reno (the other being the gorgeous scenic drive to and from). So many delicious things to choose from, but it's the incredible candy apples for me. Delicious treats with a side of excellent friendly customer service. Cannot recommend highly enough!”

“Stopped in Virginia City for a nice date day. Had to get a juicy all beef dog from the Ponderosa Saloon. Grabbed some drinks & listened to some music. The history & the energy is so interesting & overwhelming. This city calls to me & I let myself come for adventures quiet often. One thing I hadn't done yet is go through the Ponderosa Mine. This time I got to venture into the depths of the wet earth about 400ft! My anxiety was kicking in half way through the tour but I managed ok. Breathing techniques are a must if you do not like cramped small underground spaces. The tour guide I forgot his name sorry. But he is in the video I added. He deserves credit where credit is due! Tall guy doesn't work Fridays lol he was super informative about the miners and the history behind it. I knew life was harder back then considering the circumstances but to hear the in-depth knowledge of how the miners had to drink 2 pints of whiskey a day because no water was really available. I want to come back and explore more. There are lots of cool artifacts on display from guns and rifles to saws and gems shaver balls lol if you visit the Virginia city stop by the Ponderosa for a shot & a dog before you go into the mine. The mine was $27 for two of us to go in and it fills up fast so get there earlier then the time you want to go I think it's every hour.”

“Had a great stay here a couple a weeks ago for a relative's 100-year birthday. I can't say thanks enough for opening the restaurant to provide for dinner outside hours when the downtown was shutdown for snow conditions. I stayed in The Bullion, across the street. While hoping to see ghosts :), I was, instead, left with rooms that were clean, warm, and that would lead me to stay again if visiting Virginia City. Additionally, restaurant food was delicious. Thank you!”

“This restaraunt was "The Bomb"! Went there Saturday night to celebrate my Son's and Is Birthdays. From the moment we walked in, I knew we made the right choice for our special evening. Did not get the bartenders name, but did find out his wife was the Chef, Phenomenal meal!! I had tri tip and prawns and I'm going to say, at 60 years old, one of the best meals I've ever eaten!! Shannon, our waitress, topped off our evening by serving up 5 star customer service!! I can't wait to go back, and know I can't wait for next year's Birthday before I do, so I'm going to say " See You Soon". “I had an incredible experience at Palace restaurant in Virginia City! The pastrami sandwich I tried was absolutely delicious—bursting with flavor! I highly recommend this spot not only for its fantastic food but also for the charming atmosphere of the area. A must-visit destination!”

“I came in for some pizza and also ended up getting the egg rolls. The pizza was just right. The vegi pizza had a ton of garlic. Luckily that’s exactly how I like it, but I know that’s now everyone’s thing. The egg rolls are pretty much the same you get at jack in the box, but fried a bit longer so they are more crispy. In a town with not many options for food. I can definitely say this isn’t a bad choice. With that said I would have preferred to give them a 3.7 rating, but that isn’t an option on google”

“We only had a beer and a really mean Bloody Mary here, but we sat and enjoyed our drinks while great country hall dance music played and people of all ages wandered in. “One of my favorite locations for a great burger. Food is super cheap and good quality. Cheeseburger is one of the best. Make sure to add caramelized onions and chilis to elevate it further. Staff is kind and respectful. Location has been historically clean.Drive through is pretty long, the location is quite popular. It’s been worth it to go eat inside since you wind up waiting either way.Potatoes are fresh cut and right out of the fryer. Eat them fast before they get hard! Shakes are good.”
