“Finally a place in Chicagoland that does the Halal chicken and rice the right way. I also tried the chop cheese which was authentic out of Brooklyn. This is the only place doing it right in the area. Today was probably my 8th time there since they’ve opened. Great place, keep it up. *The other new place is all show and no taste or class for that matter.”

“I discovered an unexpected treasure nestled in the center of Queens. The residents were welcoming, and the cuisine was both swift and delicious. This spot truly deserves more attention! The food was so incredible that I dove in before remembering to take a photo.”

“Great take on Lu rou fan (minced pork and rice), excellent scallion pancakes and awesome dessert (Tian miantuan) that was like a sandwich of sweet fried dough, golden sesame ice cream and condensed milk (plus cilantro and butter dried peanuts)! Great beverages as well such as the slightly sweetened Jasmine iced tea and Sanzo (lychee & calamansi) sparkling water products!”

“Fantastic speakeasy sushi joint. Very small, no more than an handful of people may join the omasake style bar where 3 talented (and cool) chefs serve you the best crafted sushi you can get. Definitely going back soon.”

“My partner found a hidden gem in Williamsburg. We tried the seasonal omakase set. The fish was fresh, each piece was delicious. Also, enjoyed that when each piece came out, the hostess would show us a photo of the fish we’re eating. Chef Leo is really knowledgeable with the food, so don’t be afraid to ask for information. Will definitely come back!”

“I have to say this restaurant was absolutely delicious!! So glad we tried the only Mexican Michelin star in New York!!!
We went here for our anniversary and were very pleased! Our reservation was for 9 and our table was ready exactly at that time. Service was fantastic! Our waiter was really friendly and very knowledgeable about all the food items. He answered all of our questions about flavors and portion sizes quite thoroughly which made our decisions easy!
Their tequila and mezcal varieties were very extensive and they had great cocktail options as well! For appetizers we decided to choose the smoked mangoes, tuna tostada, and the punta verde caesar. All were so tasty and had such amazing flavor, we even ordered another tuna tostada!! I would say we felt the mangoes were more of a snack/dessert and not an app but we were not mad about it at all because the smokiness they were able to get into the mangoes was amazing!
For the main course we went with the lamb and swordfish tacos (it comes with 2 each). They are average sized, nothing too big or small especially since we ordered so many appetizers between the two of us!! Both dishes were so flavorful!! I would highly recommend trying everything you have room for since the choices we made were bursting with so much flavor!
We chose the Oaxacan chocolate cake and the tres leches for dessert. The cake and ice cream had a strong espresso flavor, maybe because I don't drink any coffee/espresso at all but it was still very tasty.
Overall this was a very affordable Michelin Star restaurant and we were extremely pleased with every aspect of our dining experience. We would absolutely return to try more menu items and highly recommend paying them a visit if you are a fan of big, bold flavors!!
(The photos are not great sorry.)”

“5 stars are not enough to tell you how good this place is. We've been staying in the Franklin Guesthouse (hotel adjacent to Madre) for a couple of nights and decided to give Madre a shot - boy were we in for a treat! Firstly, shout out to Armando, who made us feel immediately welcomed with his warmth and energy! For food, we got the Frutti di Mare, Croquetas, Brussels Sprouts, Cornbread Madeleines (compliments from chef) and Chicken - massive MASSIVE props to Chef Bryan and his very talented team. To say that they cooked "well" would be the understatement of 2022. They absolutely blew our minds with top quality medley of ingredients, depth of flavor, and masterful execution in every way. Cocktails were fun and delectable, which added the perfect "pop" to the culinary rocket ship that Madre served up. Just when my wife and I were ready to call it a night, Chef Bryan and Armando were kind enough to bring out the Pot de Creme for us, which was the bow and ribbon on this very special dinner. My only regret of the night was not having enough stomachs to enjoy more of what Madre could serve up. We will definitely be back! Thank you, Madre!”

“A lovely contemporary Michelin star restaurant in the hip neighborhood of Brooklyn- Nura offers a cozy and chic vibe, complimented by its fusion style menu.
Inspired by co-owner Michelle Lobo-Hawley's Indian heritage, you’ll find a good variety of dishes with a creative twist. I had the kerala egg curry which was supremely flavorful. Will be visiting again!”

Very nice to us, gave us suggestions as to what to eat, and made nice small talk
It’s giving river town cuz there was a walkway way in the middle that was raised a little. Also loved the aquarium.
Don’t know how I feel about the food. Everything was cooked well, well seasoned, and sauces were great. But I think some of the dishes were lacking depth. But that’s a minor critique.
Wow: 0.75/1

“Grateful for a decent Chinese restaurant that is clean and elegantly decorated. Tofu and chicken dish were very good. The beef stew was more of a beef soup and on the oilier side so wasn’t our favourite. Dumplings were pretty good. Would definitely return and recommend.”

“Bayon is such a gem! This cozy spot serves up amazing Cambodian food that’s full of flavor and warmth. The vibe is elegant and relaxed, and you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
The menu has all delicious staples as well as unique dishes you don’t see everywhere, and everything we tried was so tasty—perfectly spiced and packed with fresh, delicious ingredients. You can tell they really put care into the food, and it has that homemade feel you don’t always get in the city.
The staff is awesome, too—super friendly and helpful if you need suggestions. Bayon is perfect for anyone who loves exploring new flavors or just wants a chill, memorable meal. Definitely worth a visit!”

“There was a New York Rangers rally downtown Brooklyn @ Albee Square. My husband & I went to get lunch @ a Subway Sandwich Shop, but it was more of a take out as opposed to having tables & chairs. Otherwise, everything tasted good. By the way, this Subway takes the company coupons.”
