“Forget bout everywhere else. Joe’s is the place to go. Mozzarella is the best - light airy milky and when you ask for unsalted you get unsalted. Only problem is that they run out of items if it’s later in the day. So go early.“

“My wife wanted to have my 50th birthday party catered, she was looking on City Island where we reside but the prices were out of control. I reminded her of Tinos, where we have in the past got 3 foot heroes and antipasto platters. We called and that was all she wrote! Delivery on time and the food was out of this world!! “I highly recommend this place to anyone, visiting or living in New York. The food here is phenomenal, and the service is spectacular. I could not imagine a better experience, as they are able to manage through the hectic rush hours with great customer service in a clean environment.“

“I walk by this place everyday and stopped in one day to try the food because I was hungry and just got off the train. I was hesitant at first because I read the reviews and people complained about the food and service. I wanted to try for myself and see.

The place is clean and well organized. They also have plenty of menu items. I ordered the steak and cheese with pepper jack cheese and everything on it and a side of fries.
The cook was attentive and friendly. The steak and cheese was probably the best that I have had since I moved back to NYC.. I just moved from Florida.

The fries were not as good though which is why I took away a star. I love French fries and they tasted like they were warmed up or something. I also bought some snacks and they had some healthy selections for snacks which is a plus.

The cashier was also friendly and also attentive.

Overall it was a good experience and I will probably be back. The location is the best.
My only suggestion would be to elevate the French fries.“

“Sal has sold out and gone up North but the workers like Shorty have stayed on with the new owners, prices have gone up, but the grill is still pumping out great hot eats, but stay away from the fries and deep fried stuff as the oil often looks like motor oil, at least walk over to the back and observe the color before you think about the fries, otherwise it's a great place for a hot or cold sandwich and a drink“

“Excellent! The Best! I have been ordering from Barino's for years. However, this most recent order was OUTSTANDING! All of the guests absolutely LOVED the Danny Boy sandwich. Days later and I'm still hearing how delicious the Danny Boy was! The chicken parmigiana was the BEST chicken parmigiana I've ever had for a catered event. The chicken was tender and there was a generous amount of sauce and cheese. Plenty of fresh dinner rolls, pickles, salads. I highly recommend choosing Barino's Market for your next event!“

The menu is cheap and many options, the portions are huge, and everything is fresh! we were in town from Buffalo NY and had to stop in to grab a hero I got the Sicilian which was chicken cutlets, sliced boar's head ham, and fresh mozzarella on freshly baked Italian bread for the trip back home. “Excellent salad bar and cold food section. Vast selection of beverages, chips and snacks. Hot and cold roll or hero sandwiches made to order, as well as hot food dishes. Staff isn't very friendly, but they are efficient. The deli is next to a medical office building, so parking is tough.

“If you need anything from the deli ask for my man Chef Chris! He's usually on after 2:30p everyday. Not only is he if not the best chef, one of the best in NYC, he's an effin machine; fast, efficient, friendly, and passionate about his art. As busy as the store is with hundreds of people in and out every hour Chris, along with the rest of the crew knows their clientele and renders personalized services. Whenever I step foot inside and see my man Chris working the deli all I gotta do is say "one" or "two" and I'm taking care of. Very consistent and down to Earth people to do your business with.“

“We only ordered catering service from them for our daughter wedding few years ago , and couple of times for the big gathering last year and this year. They have a great catering menu. The owner and stuff were always helpful with choice and quantity we needed. They also accommodate special requests regarding allergies and dietary restrictions. Food is absolutely delicious and prices are very reasonable. And they have pretty extensive menu. This is our place to go if we have a big gathering. They never disappoint! Definitely recommend. Just make sure that you talk to the owner or someone who handles catering.“

“Stopped here for breakfast on a trip to Fordham. Ordered bacon, egg, cheese and hash brown on a Kaiser roll.

I got exactly what one wants from an NYC Bodega/Deli egg sandwich.

The bacon was meaty/salty/smokey. The yellow American cheese was gooey. The hash brown was crispy. The griddled eggs were fluffy.

Or course, after they cook it, they wrap it in foil, which is part of what makes the sandwich great: While I walked five to ten minutes to find a bench on which to sit down and eat, the residual heat and steam warmed the roll so the gluten was amplified and the bread got chewy.
