“Nice place. The owner, Suits is a great guy. And their bouncer, Gary is a helluva guy. They cater mostly to the students that go to Fordham University, thus the propensity for underage drinking. The 48th Precinct doesn't bother too much. They know me as The Veteran.“

“what a fun and exciting bar. It is very overcrowded but for a good reason. The beers are cheap and they give you free hotdogs. The bartenders were hustling so it diodnt feel bad to weat a little. This place is a must if you are in the theatre district / close to port authority. Good for late night.“

“the place thats near us is a bar and grill, and its inside of a really old ass cottage thats sunken into the ground. Like its literally sunk into the ground by a good five or six feet or so, the whole building. So you gotta go into the stairwell they built under the road to get in there. I think it's not actually Jimmy's corner, but people call it Jimmy's corner. Mhmmm, Mhmmm, it's half eaten.“

“One of the best dive bars in NYC. Would recommend stopping if you're in TriBeCa or Chinatown - Whiskey, beer or another libation! Super atmosphere and relaxed vibe. Don't hesitate to grab a table in the mezzanine overlooking the bar. The eats ain't so bad too!“

“This is a real Irish bar. Not in the sense of taped up paper leprechauns or a tinsel HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY banner, but rather campaign photos of John and Robert Kennedy, as well as other candidates for office going back more than 100 years. It's one of the oldest bars in New York City, and decorated with historical markers, play tickets, political posters and buttons, as well as a painting of a naked lady! Your choices for drinks are light ale or dark ale. They make good sandwiches, too.“

“Went to a catered event there today. What a fun place! Very comfortable. Absolutely fantastic food!! Huge variety and really cool takes on comfort food. Deconstructed chicken and biscuits, brats in pretzel roll (pigs and a blanket) beautiful salad. I would come back for the food alone! And beautiful cocktails. Sampled espresso martini and cosmos. Both delicious not overly sweet perfectly balanced. Service was seamless. Everything seemed to appear exactly when you wanted it. I will definitely be going there again!!“

“A really cool metal bar. There's not much to dislike if you like metal. There's a ton of photos, memorabilia, signatures and more. It's fun to just glance around and see what bands you recognize. There's a fake electric chair in the back too. The drinks are as expected and okay prices. If I lived closer this would be one of my go to bars.“

“About 5 minutes walk from 14th station. A long-established bistro founded in 1960. It's a rarity in the U.S. It's cash only and has a simple menu on the wall.BISTRO BURGER 15.75/Fries 5.5Served in less than 10 minutes. An unexpected paper plate. An 8oz (230g) patty with cheese, crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato, and pickles. The buns were not cut until the end, so I ate them with random pieces on them. The overall taste is well-balanced, and it is characterized by being simply delicious. However, I didn't have a fork or anything, so the meat juices dripped down, which was a big deal.It is classified as quite small among American burgers. Recommended when you want to eat something quick.“

“Pete’s was on my “must-go” list for a long time and my visit turned out to be even better than I had expected. The idea of a bar with random live performances is fantastic. The service was friendly, the drinks were reasonably priced, and the grilled cheese sandwich was absolutely delicious. Overall, it's a wonderful place to spend an evening with friends.“

“Dive Bar is a nice spot!! Located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, the atmosphere + vibes are quintessential for a dive (& that's what makes it so great). They make a good margarita and their fries are a perfect shareable bite!!“
“This place is great for what it is. A lot of the hipster bars nowadays are trying to be something they're not and this place isn't really like that. I also like how they have a dice game with a jackpot you pay a dollar to roll that's dope. I have no idea if they have food so can't comment on that“
“Boogie was a fantastic bartender. This is a great punk bar! Loved the service, the conversation, and while the bathrooms smelled a little bad, there was soap and toilet paper in them which is a win :) I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a good punk bar in Brooklyn!“

“I love stopping by while I'm in Queens. Now that I have discovered they have an Elf mural and a resident (of sorts) French bulldog with his own barstool, this is a must stop while visiting this neighborhood. Super laidback and the drinks are cold and flowing. The staff wants to ensure a good experience! Live music when I was there on a Friday early evening. Cheers!“

“We had a blast! Went on a Tuesday for bingo night. Won 4 vintage vinyls and 4 shots, also bought 4 mixed drinks and 4 pizzas. Spent $40, plus tips and had a fantastic date night. We will be back on a tuesday, but next time we are bringing friends.“

“We had drinks in this wonderful bar. It was most cozy, relaxed and nicely worn. The service was ok, though there was only the bartender thus you had to wait for the drinks. The location is perfect after dinner in SoHo. The music was not played too loud - you could discuss there. The pricing was moderate. We could come back.Parking: I would come by the subway or Uber.“

“Your own little slice of Commodore in Greenpoint! Food is just as good and drinks are also. Cozy little bar with a ski lodge theme and a huge lit up screen of Glacier National Park behind the bar giving off those The Shining Vibes. Backyard and side walk seating as well. The Cadillac Nachos and Queso are classics, the Spinach and Mushroom Quesadilla is a newer addition but one of my favs. The Commodore is the classic Pina Colada. You can do a shot and beer combo with just about anything. Prices can't be beat.“

“I've stumbled upon an incredible local bar! The bartenders are friendly, and the crowd is always laid back! and enjoyable, And let's not forget the amazing food they serve, it's absolutely fantastic! It's definitely worth a visit to experience it firsthand!“
“Great local Irish bar. I was staying a week at a nearby hotel and this place had the exact Irish bar feel I needed. I instantly felt like a regular they were glad to see, coming and going. Proper for an Irish place. Good pours on the beers. I was here for the first 2016 Presidential Debates and there was a lot of opinions, but in true NYC style, nobody got bent, no matter how much of a (&%$g idiot the other person was.“

“Bob's is the most balanced bar in NY : his cheap beers come with a very serious service. Games are available for free, and the place is spacy enough for you to bring all your friends to get wasted or more. Trustable owner who kept my ID for several days before I realized I lost it while laying l the floor. Thanks Bob's!“

“Stopped by while out and it was a cozy dive bar with various drink options. I tried the Nothing Rhymes with Blood Orange Margarita which was good ... a little on the sweet side but not too bad. Overall it was a nice experience due to the nice staff and ability to drink, relax and chat with friends over the low music.“
“What an awesome spot. Felt like I was in the basement of some 70s sitcom character. Truly one of the best curated atmospheres of any dive bar I’ve been to in the city! Also, gotta love the super affordable drinks in a not-so-affordable part of Manhattan.“

“If I could give this place a million stars, I would because this establishment is more deserving of it than any others I’ve been to. Hole in the wall bar that makes you feel like you’re part of a community. Asad is by and far one of the best, if not the best bartenders I’ve ever met. He makes you feel like you’re family and you’re at home. And in regards to the bar food- some of the best I’ve ever had. HIGHLY recommend the mozz sticks and buffalo wings.Long story short, if you live in or are visiting LIC, this bar has been my go to for years. You won’t regret coming here.“

“A great neighborhood bar with fun decor (plenty of plants), a great selection of drinks (including non-alcoholic options), board games, and a photo booth. My only complaint is that it seems word has gotten out about this place over the past year, and has become super crowded on weekends. Still, love Pearl's and keep coming back.“

“I used to go to the original location many years ago when I lived in NYC, so I was eager to check out the new location on a recent trip. It's still a classic New York dive bar with great service and great prices. As long as the Subway Inn still stands, I'll make a point to visit every time I'm in the city.“
“Located in a cozy nook of Roosevelt Ave. The drinks are solid and the service is on point. Great place for conversation or a fun game of darts. I must say the decibel level of the music was just right. I didn't feel like I had to talk extra loud to people next to me. It had a chill vibe to it and I would definitely recommend it.“
“A couple of weeks ago I visited this place and I loved the relationship that the artist can have with the audience, the stage is very intimate and you can appreciate it so close, in addition to a great audio sound that makes the experience immersive, I congratulate you, engineer. audio of the place , the drinks are at a good price and the place is easy to access, 2 blocks away you find the nearest train. I will be back very soon and will add it to my favorite places.“
“We had the VFW in Astoria booked for a celebration of life for my mom and brother. We waited and waited and no one showed up to let us in. A crowd began to gather and still no word from the VFW. My wife and sister searched the area and stumbled up The Local. They explained our situation and the bartender was more than accommodating. We were able to use the outside area which was quite spacious and bring our own food!!! All they asked was that we bought some drinks(which were amazing!!!) I will definitely visit the Local whenever I'm in Astoria!!!“

“An awesome dive bar that you would typically see in the East Village. The place is laid back and unpretentious. They have a happy hour special with $5 beers, but honestly, it's not even needed. Their beers are regularly $5-$7 as it is. There is a small outdoor seating area at the back as well and the bartender offers free popcorn to everyone. Overall, this is a nice spot to hit up after dinner.“
“We went to a fancy meal and my wife surprised me with this treasure after. If you like dive bars, if you like glam rock, and if you like places with no marketing department, then THIS is your place. David and Gayla were the regulars we hung out with. If they aren't there, just sit on the far right, and look up. Their names are on the ceiling. They were awesome. I bartended for 14 years and tried to make everyone's day better through my actions. You MEET Pete for 10 seconds, and he doesn't have to talk. Your day is already better. He knew about the Britney Fox breakup and played the band, he knew about how Whitesnake dissed John Sykes, and now will go listen to Blue Murder albums. He played Warrant. He played Kix. And he played Extreme pre-Van Halen and then had a conversation about all Van Halen singers. And there are specials, some with Bud, and one shot and beer for us IPA drinkers. Magical experience. And pretty sure Ed Norton was there. Pic below. Good luck finding the entrance, but it is worth it once you do. Definitely recommend, and see you there (next time I am out East).“
“This is the quintessential fun bar in a great location. I love live music and they have some great performances. Drinks are made just the way I like em because my favorite bartender, Shivani is amazing! Not only is she efficient but she is engaging and warm. Would go back just to chat with her. She makes all feel welcome. See a performance here for sure“

“Love this place! You can’t go wrong visiting At The Wallace, whether you’re looking for a quick drink and a snack or a bar to hang out and socialize in. “I stopped by dive 75 last night after work tonight and I had the best experience ever. Josie is the best bartender, he’s great at making drinks and is a genuine human being. As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry for a long time his work ethic and genuine care for who he is serving is incredible. Definitely stop by if you’re in the area“

“One of my favorite places on the planet. The bar tenders are amazing. The people and locals are amazing. The Guinness is amazing. I came there drinking bud light and one of the locals made fun of me and ordered me a Guinness and it’s been my favorite beverage ever since. I spent my whole summer in there. Got tight with a lot of people. Even got my own nickname, “Chicago”. I miss it everyday. I love to tell anyone who will listen about The Cellar Bar. Every time I make it back to New York, I have to stop in. This place is a huge part of my early 20’s. Shout out to one of the wonders of the world: The Cellar Bar.“

“Listen if you’re looking for no thrills this is the Dig ol Bicks of bars. Each person in staff is an absolute legend a mommy if you will. “Great cocktails. Great selection of alcohols (found one of my favorite rums) and the food is all great. Can't stop thinking about the pizza with peperoncini in it. It was incredible. We went as a group of 4 on Christmas Eve and the bartender, David, was amazing and really helpful. I'll definitely be going back soon when in the neighborhood!Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp in front if I remember correctly.“

“I remember hearing about the movie and wasn’t aware that there was a real bar on 14th street. The level of service I received from the front door personnel/Security to everyone else was impeccable. I have to start with Awna. Her vibe is from a different planet and she serves up great drinks. Her level of service is top notch in my book. But then she pulled out a microphone and started walking and dancing on the bar. She pulled no punches on the mic when it turned into a comedy show, good times. I also met Paula who is very kind and knows how to control the commotion. After my first visit I couldn’t resist and came a second time. This is where I met Amber who poured great drinks and wasn’t afraid to get on the bar and turn it up. If you are looking for a great time, funny commentary from the bartenders, good drinks this is the go to place on 14th street.“
“It was a chill vibe. I went on a Saturday night and there were maybe 5 other people there, drinking and watching the hockey game. I paid 11 dollars for two cosmopolitans, not bad for the area. Plus they were STRONG and the bartender was quick and attentive. I would come again. I wish there were games there. I only saw the darts, maybe I missed it. It's pretty dark and dated like someone else mentioned. In any event, I would come again. Good spot to start the night out bar hopping.“
“First a heads up, all the food here is vegan afaik. I am not vegan, but I do love a well prepared vegetable. I got their grilled “chicken” sando and the crunch on the crust was phenomenal! Better than a lot of the actual fried chicken I’ve had. The texture wasn’t very meat like imo, but I honestly prefer that. They use mushrooms for the patty so it’s nice and creamy inside. Everyone was also very nice and the mixed drinks were well made.“
“As far as dive bars go, Clem's checks off all the boxes. Not too crowded, cheap drinks, friendly bartenders, and the occasional song you can hum along to. I have witnessed this tiny bar full to the brim later on a Friday but on a casual Tuesday it's mostly regulars having a good time. I opted for a few too many glasses of wine here but they seemed to have some unique cocktails on the menu if you're into that.“

“Personality is the first word that comes to mind when thinking about this dive bar. Graffiti, cavernous ambiance, pool table in the back, in-your-face attitude. They even have "ass juice" (some sort of fruit punch) for just $4, if you're into it. You certainly don't come here for their beer selection, but more looking for a place to mind your own freaking business and be left alone. So indulge yourself here enjoying a peaceful drink while listening to cool tunes. True, you may get distracted by their small tv showing x-rated scenes you most surely won't find (almost) anywhere else, but this is part of the experience at Double Down Saloon. Feeling like you need a different night? This is the place you wanna be. Oh... forgot to mention: it's a CYOP bar (clean your own puke).“
“We go there at least every month. Sometimes more often. This is the only bar I will go to. The owner who is a wonderful man knows how to run his business. He's so friendly to everyone and is always making sure everyone is taken care of. Also his staff is another amazing person. She is on top of everything at all times. The people who come there are usually the same faces and that's what makes this family feel like home. If there is one bar I would recommend it's definitely Colonial.“

“One of the oldest bars in Woodside and it hasn't changed in many years which makes it a local legendary dive bar. Great staff and a diverse clientele make this a great place to have a pint at anytime of day. Among the best Guinness pints in NYC. Located just under the Woodside-61st St. train stop, it's a great stop before and after Mets games! The Station is great for what it is. A must visit when in Woodside.“

“It's in my opinion one of the most famous Irish bars in the Bronx. Almost every great Irish performer has been to this pub more than once. Paddy Reilly, Bagatelle and Niall & The Durty Nelly's to name a few...?It's a family run business and the staff are very welcoming. The burgers are also the best in the city, I kid you not.“
