“Great place great people. I attended a function for Disabled Veterans it was Great ! We had raffles,great food. And the Volunteers were the best they had speakers that spoke to us not at us. Usually people donate space for us to have things but ! You don't meet the owners not these guys they talked & had fun wit us like we were friends and notLike we were Disabled Veterans it was Great ! Not one question about why my leg had Scars on it from surgeries they didn't even see my legs and I had onShorts . WOW great people. Oh boyThey had a kid there serving by the nameOf Conner this young man handled a room wit 30 grumpy, battle tested Marines,Army artillery,and special forcesWit ease He didn't break a sweatAnd knew the menu in his head and keptThe orders straight ??♂️could be my RTOMan any day. “when we got to the front door of this place, the bartender came out and opened the door to welcome us. We were just going to stay for one drink, but we stayed much longer. Everybody was so friendly, and the drinks are really really generous. what a great dive bar!“

“Made a reservation, and first impressions were good. the first seating they placed us had a broken table so they moved us which was nice they let us pick any spot. the place had Good ambiance with good music that set a good vibe and plenty of tvs to watch sports game. The service was good too our waiter always stopped by to check on us if we need anything. they also gave good recommendations on the menu. the beverages like the mule were good and the food was okay, albeit a bit overpriced for the area. we got quesadillas, wings, sliders, and 2 basket of fries with plenty of drinks. they also tacked on a mandatory 20% gratuity for a party of 3. the beverages were pretty good i enjoyed it. i'll definitely come back !“
“I came to visit the club scene with a few lady friends.. the atmosphere was giving ole skool grown..after a while of course the vibes picked up..the only negative was the mixologist didn't know what a Blue motorcycle was which is a no no when it's the easiest and common drink to make. I can definitely offer my services if y'all are hiring ? other than that.. I wanna check out the dining side of this establishment if it's available“
“The quesadilla I had, was fantastic! Definitely coming back for that. Unfortunately- even on a not busy afternoon, I had to flag down the bartender for a drink every time. And it’s not as if he was busy - he was standing at the end of the bar chatting with other customers for about 10 minutes without paying attention to the other 4 people at the bar. I had to verbally try to get his attention in order to order another drink. That’s not a sign of a good bartender.“
“Good little tavern. Food was perfectly fine - good burger. Prices were as you would expect for a non-fancy bar in a non-fancy borough.Staff was friendly and chatty. The only thing that didn't go smoothly was that they take cards but only cash tips, and I had very little cash on me so I under-tipped. I wish they had told me when I ordered.Good place.“
“An excellent place to grab amazing food, drinks and watching some sports on the monitor.Been going here every military drill weekend since 2007 and I'm never disappointed with the location.My favorite are the Buffalo Wings and the Grill Chicken Sandwich.Highly recommended if ever nearby this location just crossing the Throgs Neck Bridge.Parking: About 15 cars can park around the place. Might be a little difficult after that on a narrow street.“

“I enjoyed the experience me and my party are for had appetizers and sandwiches beer and hookah. The music was great. There was plenty of space to dance and enjoy yourself. The only thing I did not like is one of the appetizers was a coconut shrimp cocktail. I've never had coconut shrimp in a cocktail sauce. I thought it was weird but everything else was good.“

“Not your run of the mill City Island restaurant, I hope Archies can survive through all these pandemic shut downs. The food was really quality, creative and curated compared to anything on city Island. They definitely would not sell tilapia Frankenfish here. I remember visiting one of the more stylish restaurant on City Island, I was so disappointed to see tilapia on the menu and I could not finish my food. I would recommend they do something to make make themselves stand out more. When I mention Archies, many Yacht club members that of been going to city Island forever say Arties?“
