“I've been visiting Johnny's for over 30+years. Today I went for a lobster roll which replaced the shrimp roll. last year this lobster was so delicious 😋 couldn't wait till the summer. unfortunately, I was highly disappointed. it is not longer on a garlic bun and now served on a plain hot dog bun :( also flavorless! last yr price was $24 and now up to $28 with no flavor and blah bun. please bring back the recipe from years before. thanks“

“I went to a family friend’s 70th birthday party they hosted in the Atlantic ballroom. The space was modern and very clean. The food was DELICIOUS!!! And the workers, Yiselle, Estrellita, and Shorty (blonde) made the event so memorable! They paid attention to every detail, whether it was filling our water cups, collecting unused plates and of course they did it all with a warm smile. They were kind, funny and very welcoming. “Best fried or steamed fish you will ever have from a store front. And seriously maybe the cheapest. My go to is the fried flounder sandwich, $5 today, sometimes $6 cash for two huge pieces depending upon market price. They give you the tarter and lemon and tons of other condiments and spices to put on yourself, just how you like it, before they neatly wrap it up and bag it for you. I always tip them two bucks. Been coming and thankful for them for the last 25 years when they used to be a block south. There are similar looking joints but none nearly as consistently good as Dyre Fish is. I have tried so many, hoping. It is the oil they dont allow to be used too long and the fresh fish picked up daily at Hunts Point Fish Market. And the prices have barely gone up in all that time.“

“Love this place.the food is delicious and very affordable.i personally always get the 4 piece crab sticks with fried rice and 2 stuffed clams or the shrimp with fried rice and 2 stuffed clams. Everytime I go to eat here there is always a seat available, and the staff members are very well mannerable, and caring staff members. One time they gave a homeless man something to eat because they felt bad he was homeless,and hungry and could not afford a plate to eat. If no one noticed trust me I noticed and they will get blessed 10 fold... I recommend this place to all seafood lovers and chicken lovers as well.“

“We arrived at the restaurant and were seated by our host/waiter, Nick K. He was very attentive, went over the specials and gave his opinion to the best plates at the restaurant. He was very accommodating and told us that we can upgrade pastas and sauces with our meals. He started us off with warm Focaccia bread, I then ordered the veal parm. and mixed it with the Cacio e Pepe and a glass of Cabernet. My wife ordered the Bolognese with an Aperol Spritz. I had put in my reservation that we were celebrating my wife's birthday and Nick brought three desserts to the menu which was a nice touch. We were pleasantly surprised and will definitely be going back to try other delicious plates.“

“Let me start by saying the place is nice and food is great but something I didn’t like was that they say happy hour from mon-Friday and it’s a lie when I got there to my surprise the sign is everywhere saying happy hour mon-fri which is false advertisement and I asked the waitress she responded and said no it’s Tuesday-Fri only now and so I just didn’t have the drink instead had water and my husband had a parcha mojito which was good so I ordered a cordon blue with tostones and my husband had pasta which was amazing but when check came they tried to over charge if I wasn’t to notice we would’ve gotten overcharged but moving forward everything was good but pricey but always look at your check b4 paying!!🙃🙃“
