“to the people commenting on the lack of ambiance...? i think it is fine. for me the music is "ambient" enough, along with the lovely wall mural, and photos showing what the food is....not to mention the collection of both holly AND "bolly"wood stars and starlets, adorning a back side wall. the dining area is always SPOTLESSLY CLEAN, and the bathroom shines. they keep the prices very reasonable, which is a HUUGE plus for me. the food is always great, fresh, and tasty, not to mention a lot healthier than the traditional american diet. staff is attentive. i never felt they "watch to see how many dishes you take", as someone suggested. they are likely making sure people get FRESH plates with every visit to the steam tables., since this is actually a restaurant/buffet health law...i have never ever, once felt like they wanted to "rush" me out. they are always very welcoming and accommodating.. “Last night I ordered a cheeseburger for my wife and chicken tikki masala for me. My wife's favorite burger is Burger King. She said the burger was very good and almost as good as Burger King. Her burger was much bigger from Kabob House so she only ate half. While she was enjoying her burger. I was totally enjoying my chicken tikki masala. i wanted to eat half but I kept mixing a little more of the red sauced chicken with the rice. It was so fresh and the spice was so good. I was so full yet wanted more. The only thing I could not understand was, how and why would people not buy a burger here instead of Burger King? It even came with fries. My wife said because it had no onions. Later that evening I heard half a cheeseburger calling me. I cut off a large bite and was amazed by the thickness of the burger. The meat quality was far superior to any fast food burger. I am declaring Kabab House the burger winner. The food here is excellent. What's not to like ? I think they need an interior decorator. The place needs new tables and chairs with a better layout. Brighten things up.”

“Great happy hour spot. Don't arrive during happy hour for a dinner table without a reservation on a weekend night. High tops are seated for dinner guests only when guests finally are done with the long happy hour.

Drink specials at happy hour are worth the trip but someone has to wait in line at the door at 4:30 for high top seating. Meeting people at happy hour is easy because seating is close and you can hear everyone's chatter.

Well staffed. Good service. Catering takeout is easy and consistent.

When my order for Prime Rib was not cooked to order, they replaced it not only with the correct preferred doneness, but it was replaced in a timely manner and with a genuine desire to please me as a customer. We also had an order of the crispy spring rolls that are garnished with fantastic pickled daikon radish & carrot sticks & fresh cucumber slices. I would love more of the pickled vegetable garnish! The food and beer both turned out great but we all loved Ella’s positivity and just all around pleasant attitude. Even if the food came out just ok you would have gotten five stars from me just because of her. People don’t talk or act like that anymore and it was a great experience!”

“The Tavern has been in business a long time. Used to be called The Clam Steam Tavern. Was and maybe still is, a popular country music venue. My dad was a country and western singer and played there a lot in the 50's. Maybe even in the late 40's. A nostalgic band stand and dance floor is still there and looks like it is in use. The food is standard bar food but very good. I do not eat seafood however my wife does and really likes the clams. Enjoy eating on the outside porch. Will be back this summer.”

The service is still fast, friendly and accurate, but there is usually a line. The blends of coffee make it impossible to choose just 1 and the sandwiches are perfectly made and priced.”
