The Beef Brisket, paired with sweet and spicy potatoes, was a delightful blend of flavors. The brisket was perfectly tender. The drinks pack a punch, and the overall food experience is rich in flavor. The Oysters showcased exciting flavor palettes. The menu, extensive and featuring unique Thai dishes, impressed me. Everything had a nice level of spice. The laminated, clear, and clean menu added to the positive experience. SERVICE: Our waitress was courteous, attentive without being intrusive, and maintained a clean appearance with gloves. She took the time to explain the menu thoroughly and proactively informed us about any sold-out items. Communication was clear and easy to understand. CLEANLINESS: Utensils and glasses were spotless, although I didn't visit the restroom to comment on its cleanliness. NOISE: Minimal. Tables are generously spaced apart. You can hold a conversation here. There is no background music which is great! TIP: Take advantage of the Mon-Thurs happy hour, and be mindful of the 90-minute limit per table on busy nights. “Wow…! If you follow my reviews, you probably know I’m picky. Sitting in Maison Premiere right now and I have no words except awesome! These are the nicest waiters that i’ve ever met in the whole New York City restaurant experience until now, trust me, we’ve been to Michelin-starred restaurants and the waiters can’t compare to the genuine feeling that the waiters here make us feel. Amazing drinks; try to get a table along the bar then you can enjoy the bartender shows, they are pros. Well, we go to restaurants to enjoy food, right? So here comes the food review: oysters and shrimp are fresh, we tried raw scallops for the first time, and it opened some channels in my brain lol, best pork chop we’ve ever had, charred on the outside, super tender inside. We got the crème brûlée; it was smooth, creamy. I did taste a hint of alcohol in it which is a plus since I like desserts with alcohol associated with it. “Otis is a go-to staple in the neighborhood that I bring all of my guests to! I haven’t yet had a dish I didn’t love. Most recently, I visited with someone who wasn’t so sure about mussels. Otis has one of the best mussel dishes I’ve ever had; the mussel-questioner left with a new outlook on how good they can be. Burrata is also a go-to favorite. The bread is made in-house and so delicious…. And the cocktails are fabulous too! The staff and service is the cherry on top. Big love to Otis!“

“I hosted 25 people here, in the back patio, and Avoca was fantastic. So accommodating, allowed everyone to have separate tabs, got the heaters out, and lent us speakers (it was a trivia night). The food and drinks are excellent (get the truffle fries and the Smokey Oaxaca cocktail!), and the service truly could not have been better. The vibe inside is swanky but chill, cozy and also a little fancy, not like a pub. Avoca is definitely one of my fave UES bars and restaurants.“
“This is a new bar/ restaurant in Bellmore. We were here on Wednesday night for dinner. Our server CiCi was great and very personable. We ordered the fried calamari with a side of Chipotle sauce as an appetizer. 3 out of 4 of us ordered the Heritage Burger and my husband ordered the Pappardelle Bolognese. Everything was delicious. We are back again on Saturday for the Espresso martinis made perfectly by Maggie & Martino the bartenders & another order of that amazing calamari. My boyfriend and I shared: Appetizers: -Seared scallops: I know right, scallops. Generic usually? But these were in an amazing sauce which was devoured with our side of bread. -Octopus carpaccio: Perfect amount of freshness to balance the rich scallops. Main: -The wood fired fish for two: they brought the fish out from the kitchen to show us the fish in flames and that was very cute and appreciated -Meatless Rigatoni: I seriously held on to this dish to the very last moments even though I didn’t have enough room to finish it lol I was obsessed with the sauce Dessert: - Panna Cotta: the balsamic reduction was something I did not expect with this dessert but it was magical“

Something with the mix of ingredients the vanilla & almond syrup, passionfruit, lemon & bitters gave it an aftertaste that I can't quite pinpoint.However, I did enjoy my husband's drink the Watermelon Drugstore made with Ojo de tigre mezcal, watermelon, honey ginger syrup and lemon. Tali, the company's event coordinator, is the sweetest, most hard-working, and detail-oriented, especially when it comes to your event. She even went above and beyond to surprise me with a GOT themed menu by naming my cocktails after details of life. For example, she named the spicy margarita after my dog, "Kevyn the Kingslayer." COME ON! How amazing is that?!Speaking of cocktails... the incredible bartender, Olivia, bartended Red Witch magic with the amazing cocktails she made for everyone. She even dressed along with the theme, with her sword, serving vibes that was giving Night's Watch combined with Red Keep of the Bar. Everyone kept raving about every cocktail she made with style and care.When it comes to the food, The Bonnie always delivers, so of course my hopes were high for Charlie's. AND MY HOPES WERE MET! The ham and cheese toastie platter was delicious. The franks in a blanket were some of the best I've ever had. The beef sliders were a HUGE hit. “Stop by with a couple of friends on a Friday night, place is warm and welcoming. Started with a Negroni which was spot on, had hummus platter which was the best in NYC so far, falafel which was bigger in size than the known falafel but yet very tasty. My friend raved about the cauliflower, but the star was the smoked lamb shawarma. All in all, good experience with attentive and responsive service with excellent food. I keep seeing burgers in reviews but it wasn’t on the menu that day. Only thing negative is the service—we kept being forgotten about and had to ask for the check three separate times. “i ordered their prosciutto and burrata (which comes with imported burrata and 24 Month prosciutto di parma), tonnarelli cacio e pepe (pasta with pecorino and black pepper), and infernetto pinsa (roman style pizza with tomato, mozzarella, spicy soppressata, and pecorino). all in all, every dish was made with fine ingredients and was cooked well. the burrata was very creamy and delicious, i would recommend it if you’re a fan of burrata cheese. the pizza had a good coal fire taste to it and came out hot and flavorful (the spicy soppressata was tasty, but i would like to try some of their other flavors eventually). the cacio e pepe was tasty and had a strong pecorino flavor (creamy, rich, slight cheesy musk to it). the pasta had good texture and mouthfeel (firm al dente noodles). all in all a decent spot for italian!“

Overall, I think you should try it! The majority of the high pricing comes from the alcohol, expect to pay a premium. Oh, and I loved the calamari.Wheelchair accessibility: They have an elevator! “WINNER IS A WINNER. Wow guys, this place deserves more love! Only 18 reviews (?!) (at the time I'm writing this) shocking. Are the sandwiches teetering on $20? Yes. Are they worth it? 100%! Firstly, the sandwich is HUGE. I definitely could only eat half so if you want to come and split a sammy with someone that's a smart way to approach this menu. I ordered the midnight club (a somewhat different take on a cubano sandwich) fried pork, ham, Swiss cheese, mojo dojonnase and pickled jalapeños on a hoagie. I also opted to try one of their sauces, the ramp ranch as well as a hibiscus Arnold Palmer. So, let's break this sandwich down: - the hoagie itself is a beautiful, fresh piece of bread. Perfectly toasted and crispy exterior but fluffy, buttery and bouncey middle. They also throw a glaze on the top that's adds such a nice touch to the bread. - fried pork: think of a dark and deep fried mozzarella stick but without the cheese. This pork is tender and full of flavor. I absolutely love the breaded coating on this fry. It's crispy and crumbly and so so good. - love the ham & Swiss classic combo. The portions of everything it perfect for almost every bite - the dijonnase sauce on the bottom soaks into the bread just enough and really pairs well with all the other toppings - the pickled jalapeños are also a perfect addition of acidity and pop of spice The sauce is expensive at $5 but I'm so glad I got it. It was a special ranch and I'm happy that they basically provide a bowl of it for the price I also really liked my hibiscus Arnold Palmer. Extremely refreshing and a nice light lunch drink option. Just sweet enough. The space itself is gorgeous. I was not sure what to expect based on the minimal pics online but they have some bar/ counter seating at the front and a decent sized dining section in the back completel with sky lights and a shuffleboard (I think that's what it's called?) for night use I believe. I think they shift from cafe into a bar at night. As another review mentioned, you order at the front counter and the provide you with a table number and you can sit down and eat. The bartender was very helpful with me choosing my sandwich and was super friendly. One of the staff also saw that I wasn't able to finish the second half of my sandwich and came and brought me a box and I didn't even have to ask. “Olmsted had been on my list since I first read about it in Condé Nast Traveler so I was excited for my first venture into Brooklyn as I usually spend time in Manhattan. I was well on my way until I got on the wrong train and realized to my dismay that I was going to be 45 minutes late! I tried calling the restaurant but was directed to email them which further stressed me out because I assumed I would have to make alternate plans.As soon as I entered, I apologized profusely to Michaela and she calmed me down immediately be explaining that even seasoned New Yorkers sometimes get on the wrong train. She did everything she could and secured me a seat at the bar. I was so grateful! As soon as I sat down, Mark, the bartender laughed and joked with me about my experience and soon after I was greeted by my waiter Greg, who was fantastic and by the end of the night, I was just in awe of the hospitality of the entire staff.The ambiance was warm and inviting and the curated playlist with artists ranging from Amy Winehouse to Corrine Bailey Rae and Outkast, created an invigorating and lively atmosphere.For drinks, I started with The Fennel which was really good, but the showstopper was Greg's creation which will soon be featured, "The Cucumber".
