“Dortoni is definitely the best bakery on LI. My family has been using them for many years and for many reasons. Their cakes, pastries , breads and cookies are absolutely delicious and consistently fresh and absolutely GORGEOUS.They are the only bakery I would even consider using for any special occasion cake.Angela- in the East Norwich location is the best. She’s extremely professional and helpful. She’s patient and very talented. She knew exactly what I wanted for my daughter’s engagement party. One of the most important cakes of my daughter’s life. I’m extremely detailed oriented and she was point on, with all my requests. Not only with design, decoration, but also with recommending different options. She showed me pictures of cakes, monograms and spent time looking at my cake stand for presentation and offering her professional opinion. All of which I appreciated. I knew when I left the bakery- that I left it to the professionals to make it perfect. Thank you Angela and thank you Dortoni for being so great!!“

“(NOTE: This review was really for 7/7/2022 and just finished it now, busy as I have been like many of us - !) In terms of quality, this bakery's baked goods & coffee, Krispy Mango is basically like Martha's Bakery in the city (Queens & Brooklyn) but with a higher price tag. Nobody living out east (Suffolk County) would want to travel that far out west for desserts that are yummy to look at and eat so here you have it (!) My rating is based soley on "the goods" but the ambiance is nice, upbeat, & yes, a tad girly so this may have chick appeal and would be ok for a nice small date. (My husband was with me so he didn't mind being there but I don't think he would come here alone, he's more of a Dunkin' kinda guy. It's relieving to know this place is open late and not just bars and standard bar grub spots that sell pizza and Tex-Mex. This is a much-needed dessert spot that has made Huntington the town you can hang out in the wee hours if you don't have time to trek out to NYC.“

Loved the place, the layout and open space of the sitting area, the way they have their cakes placed inside the fridge, not overcrowded and are able to appreciate the beauty of the cakes. Everything looked amazing and very clean. I really recommend Leonetti to anyone in the area or just passing by!“

“Absolutely incredible! Everything is perfect from here! I would say the Linzers are top tier! The Linzers are just perfect surpringly light with great jelly. You would expect a lot of these desserts to be very heavy but they actually are not crazy. Everything is just flavored perfectly you would thing a brownie crammed with a rainbow cookie would be very rich surprisingly it was just right. They really hit it out of the park with everything. My only wish is that you could get smaller portions of the regular cookies I didn't feel like shelling oit $20 for a pound while I was already trying all this other stuff. Maybe a half pound option or make like an uncut brick of tricolor cookies.“

“Crumbl is a modern, house-made, pickup-and-delivery only, trendy cookie chain with a spot here in Long Island.There's a decent selection of cookies available, all made from scratch in the shop, which is pretty incredible. The space is mostly bakery, with very little space up front for ordering and picking up. They have a couple of self order kiosks, and a tv with the options and prices right above. There's also a little display of the cookies by the register so you can see what they'll look like. Unfortunately there's no seating available, and they'll kick you out if you try to squat on the window ledge. Otherwise the staff is friendly, double checking orders and having a good time.I went for the classic chocolate chip, which wasn't too sweet, nice and crispy on the outside, and super soft on the inside. Mine was a little underbaked in the middle, but I'm not sure if that's how they come or if mine was just underdone. I do typically like mine a little sweeter, but it was still pretty good.Overall, a solid spot that I'll definitely check out again sometime.“

“Kerber's is an adorable, idyllic farm stand in the middle of Huntington. Everything I've ever had from there is delicious! The eggs on a biscuit is delightful as is or even more decadent with cheese and bacon added. The carrot farm muffin blew me away! (I am admittedly a huge carrot muffin fan). I have always been helped relatively quickly and the food comes out in a timely manner. I recommend to locals or visitors! I look forward to trying a class there at some point“

“We ordered a custom biscoff cake for my daughters birthday. The communication was great; super understanding when we had to reschedule our order to a different day last minute so A+ for service. The cake itself was absolutely beautiful and it was so moist and flavorful. Every parent at the birthday party asked where we got the cake. This is our new go to spot!“

“Duck Island Bakery is Quacking Good . This bakery is a stone throw from the village of Huntington located in Southdown. This spot offers delicious pastries and fresh bread that is perfect for any gathering. Everything is made fresh and the people working here are really nice. When you walk inside it smells so good. I recently got the chocolate croissant block which is a looker and a crowd pleaser with the flaky and chocolaty goodness. There is some outdoor seating but this is more of a grab and go spot and with a parking lot this is a huge plus as the village of Huntington has gotten too busy. “The food was amazing, I got the Texas Hold ‘em but with grilled chicken and they did an amazing job. They cook the chicken/bacon right in front of your eyes, plus the food tastes incredibly fresh. I recommend getting one of their panini’s, they know what they are doing and most likely what they have on the menu is a really good idea.The place has a huge drink selection on the wall, a few shelves full of chips, and the menu is incredibly easy to read and it actually includes the ingredients which you don’t see anymore nowadays.The staff was super nice and took your order quickly, somehow the (I believe manager) remembered my order (Texas hold ‘em with grilled chicken) in just three visits.Sadly soon I’ll have to leave New York and won’t be able to eat here anytime soon, but I will remember this place.“

“Some of the best cookies I ever tasted. Me and some work colleagues accidentally walked a mile to the factory instead of the actual cookie store on accident. instead of turning us around the owner came out, gave us a tour of the factory and gave us cookies and a story about how they got started. “Disappointed to find out on Easter Sunday they did not have cookies available when they opened at 9am, they weren’t available till 11am why is that? Instead they offered crookies, the latest trend cookie stuffed in a croissant. It was more croissant tasting than the cookie, taste was confusing, and I really wanted to taste more of the cookie than the buttery croissant. It’s not all that, I was underwhelmed. I had bought 4 to try since I made the trip, I was left with 2. I was so put off ( butter from the croissant was over powering) I threw them out. Odd hybrid. Just stick with your perfected creative cookie creations.“

The best coffee I have tasted in the neighborhood with great service. Bakery has fresh bread daily, with delicious sandwiches and awesome sweets. The pastel de nata is so tasty feels like your in Portugal.Kid-friendliness: They have little tables with kid chairs on the side. “Brian designed our dream cake for our October Friday the 13th wedding. We went in with some ideas, bits and pieces from multiple photos and what was created blew our minds. Everyone was speechless when it came out. Aside from the delicious taste of the cake itself the details and time that was poured into it is one that we truly appreciate and love. “The best cakes I've ever had in my whole life! I have never ordered a cake blind. I ordered last Tuesday for my daughter's 14th birthday. I searched online for a cake shop near her birthday party location for a convenient pick up. The cupcakes were chocolate with strawberry frosting. I ordered a small heart cake as well. The cake is so fresh and TASTY! OMG! The cake was soft and moist. But the taste! Holy cow! The perfect chocolatey flavor. Not too sweet. It was perfect. “If you like apples and anything made with apples you need to come to Jericho Cider Mill!It's not a huge store by any means and you have to park along 106 and walk with the traffic but it's well worth the visit once you're inside. Shelves and shelves of jams (including moonshine jam!), apple cider doughnuts, pies, cider, and other various goodies. Fairly priced and a fast moving line with a helpful staff. I always warm up their cider and it hits the spot each time. Not too sweet but also not too tart. The doughnuts are heaven and so fresh. I do need to try their jams next time I visit. Very much worth the impossible parking situation (wear boots) to get some apple goodness.“

“My family and I love this place! It's busy at all times, and for good reason. The coffee is a great price and is so bold and delicious. I usually get the mini apple pastry, but we tried the molten chocolate soufflé this time, and I was pleasantly surprised. I usually find things like that to be too rich, but this was perfectly balanced and the chocolate flavor was so decadent, you could taste the higher-quality ingredients. The seating area is always full of friends and families eating pastries and enjoying life. It's truly such an uplifting experience every time!“

Definitely spacious as one walks in to look and select pastries, cakes, sandwiches, drinks they wish to purchase and either dine in or take out. Cakes are nice and cream is light and not heavy. If you need a cake with writing, need to pre-order at least 2 days in advance for pickup. Mochi donuts are delicious and good to share, along with the pastries. They have seasonal specials and special promos for PB members who have signed up and use the app. PB reward members earn points with the app for every purchase so don't forget to scan. And if redeeming rewards, only one reward can be redeemed at a time.“
