“Whitby Castle in Rye, NY is the absolute best & most perfect place for a wedding & we very highly recommend it as your wedding venue! We got married in March 2024 on a Saturday afternoon at Whitby & it was better than we ever could have imagined thanks to the breathtaking venue & all the amazing managers & staff. We looked at 10 wedding venues in Tri-state area before finding Whitby, & we knew we had to get married there the minute we saw it. First was the gorgeous castle & grounds (flawlessly manicured lawns on Rye Golf club & striking views of LI Sound), & how the venue provided accommodations for all weather types. Next was the wedding package, which included everything needed & was the best price for all options; we couldn’t find a better price anywhere.From our first meeting w/ Niki, the Catering Sales Manager at Whitby, we knew we made the right choice. Niki handled everything w/ the venue throughout the process, including catering, vendors, amenities & all options available through Whitby. Niki took the time to get to know us & thoroughly explained the numerous elements to consider when planning our wedding. She made us feel as if she genuinely cared about us & our wedding (because she did). We later met w/ the Ops Manager, Ralph, about 3 weeks before the wedding & he was just as awesome. Ralph had all the particulars laid out for every aspect of our wedding & provided a comprehensive timeline & wedding plan. Niki & Ralph were incredibly professional & knowledgeable, & also exceedingly responsive & accommodating.Weather was no concern on our wedding day because of how Whitby operates. They have complete & functional outdoor heating throughout the wraparound patio that hosted much of cocktail hour, despite it being high 50°. We had wonderful sun on morning of our wedding, but it was windy & our ceremony would be on colder side in afternoon. We did not want our guests to sit in the cold, so we had an indoor wedding, & it was beyond stunning. The magnificent arch windows in the reception hall gave us astonishing light & scenic views for the ceremony. Regardless of weather, they set up for both options, to have our wedding inside or outside. We thought this was amazing considering how unpredictable weather can be. Some venues tend to have multiple weddings to maximize space, but we appreciated that Whitby treated us as the main event.In addition to astounding views & spectacular customer service, the entrées & various food courses were outstanding. I am not sure which our guests raved about more, the delectable food or marvelous views. We also have nothing but phenomenal things to say about Rosa, the bridal attendant at Whitby. Rosa was exceptionally attentive & helpful throughout the day. Niki, Ralph, Rosa, & our maître d', Gabriel, were all extremely organized & prepared for every scenario. There were so many moving parts & minute details involved in our wedding, but Gabriel was so on top of everything & made it a day to remember. The service was impeccable & all Whitby staff were tremendously kind & helpful. Nearly all our guests told us how it was not only the most beautiful & fun wedding they have ever been to, but the best party. Whitby gave us a wedding beyond our dreams. We couldn’t be happier w/ our wedding & we know it was all because of the venue & their fantastic team. “I recently attended the catholic daughters of the Americas Court, Saint Anne. 100 th Anniversary.The entire staff was on point, swift and courteous!! Our food was delicious. The view overlooking the Hudson and the TZ bridge was beautiful. We were waiting for a rainbow!! Decor was so tastefully done. ? Can’t wait to go back for another event.“

“WHAT A FIND & HIGHLY RECOMMEND Chef Abyssinia! I was in search of a great chef to come to our home and cook a surprise 60th birthday dinner for my husband and came across Chef Abyssinia with a Google search that turned up with many 5-star reviews. I called immediately and was fortunate she was available. It was a pleasurable experience from start to finish and if I could give more than a 5-star review I would. She is a warm, friendly, and incredibly talented chef who takes great pride in her work as was displayed by the preparation and deliciousness. I would go as far as saying it was one of our top 5 meals ever and we are big foodies. We went with the 4-course option that included Scallops Au Gratin, Winter Salad, Maple Glazed Salmon & Chocolate Mousse. We tasted the freshness and love with every bite. “This was our first time at this restaurant and we really enjoyed it. The food was uniformly excellent. I had the halibut and the other people had the seafood pasta dish, which I also tasted. We had the chowder appetizer which was very good but just a bit on the salty side. Service was casual but efficient and attentive. They split a shared appetizer without being asked. It's a little on the noisy side but not nearly as bad as some other restaurants. While not inexpensive it's a good value.“

“Chef Jaime catered an outdoor party I hosted this week and she did a fabulous job. Everything from the presentation of the food to the food itself ( delectable) to the passing of wine and dessert to the clean up ( she left my kitchen spotless) was exceptional. My guests could not stop raving about the food for the entire afternoon (and for days afterwards!). She was also very intuitive about what was needed in the moment. And she and her assistant worked completely independently so I was able to enjoy my party. I recommend her most highly.“

A huge factor was the staff at the Westchester Manor and how incredible they were. From the beginning of the planning process until the big day, John Gresia and his team made the process of wedding planning a breeze. John had recommendations for local vendors, in which we used his vendor John for the photobooth, and we cannot say enough good things! Aside from being a beautiful, local venue, the food and attention to detail were excellent. My husband and I had our reception at the Westchester Manor on November 11th, 2023 and it exceeded our expectations in every way! We received positive feedback from all our friends and family, which made it all the more worth it. Our guests to this day are still complimenting us on the service and the food served from cocktail hour, through dinner and dessert. “Good service, but that's not the reason this place rates top of the charts - this is;When you get a chance to sample or even eat something that the kitchen didn't expect you to get, and that item is fantastic - it speaks volumes to the capability of the kitchen to deliver tasty fresh creative and delicious food as in the case of Henrys. I had the penne in tomato sauce, which was the best homemade pasta sauce I've had in decades. Fresh cilantro, fresh onion, and a low viscosity that isn't oily which is nice. Mwah!“

“We just stumbled onto this place and were SO happy with the lunch. I had avocado toast with poached eggs. Every ingredient was fresh and flavorful. You can tell the eggs were very fresh, the fresh spinach was not overdone and the sprouts were brilliant. I also had an apple tart that was just the right amount of sweetness and crunchiness; not overdoing the brown sugar topping. When in town; I plan to visit again.“
