“Wonderful food at Barney Greengrass- as always! Go support an excellent NYC family owned and operated restaurant with amazing food and great service. They same family has been lovingly running the place since 1908! In 2021 they have Lots of spacious outdoor dining. Super attentive waitstaff - our waterglass was never empty- and just a happy peaceful atmosphere- hard to be sad when your belly is full of delicious food made with love. Get the latkes- they are to die for! Best lox we’ve had in the city and the #9 sandwich really should be renamed the Bubbe Zayde - it’s a double decker on rye half pastrami half corned beef coleslaw and Russian dressing- tasted as amazing as it looks, and truly brought back memories noshin with my Bubbe and Zayde. Also the Blintzes are incredible“
“Ordered: Burrito Bun Breakfast Sandwich (~$14): pasture raised scrambled eggs, organic spinach, avocado, Cabot pepper jack, chipotle aioli & crunchy lime red cabbage on an onion poppy bun Aya's take: What a killer of a breakfast sandwich! I was in the area and this was the 3rd place I came to; the others were closed (it's a holiday weekend so I understand). The Blue Light Speak Cheesy has a few tables and almost all of them were full. We were able to snag the last available table while I ordered at the counter. I realize they serve different sandwiches on different days of the week (I went on a Sunday) which could motivate people to come back on other days. On the other hand, it could be disappointing if they're not serving what you want on that particular day. Anyway, onto the sandwich! The Burrito Bun Breakfast Sandwich was so well-balanced. From the soft scrambled eggs to the tangy and vibrant red cabbage to the flavor of the pepper jack to the freshness of the spinach and avocado, it was everything you could want in a breakfast sandwich. I think the only thing that would make it better is if it had a layer of crunch (like a hash brown). Nonetheless, it was so filling and hit the spot. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area and I can't wait to come back.“
“Great food but the staff can be snarky and the crowd there on the weekend can be insane. The regular egg sandwich is much better than the egg katsu thing. Pancakes are very good. Prices are a little high but tip is baked in the price. The coffee is bad.“
“Gave this place a try a week ago and it was pretty good. Nothing we had was what I would call "ground breaking" but it was pretty solid for classics. The pancakes were very fluffy and fat but held good flavor too. For some reason I just had to try this places chopped cheese (my local bodega stopped selling food and switched to weed) and yea I've had better chopped cheeses but it did scratch that itch when you're craving one. I got the energizer juice also which was on par with others no notes. All in all the place is studry it sells what it's good at and seems to have a following of customers that appreciate that.“
“The staff is so friendly and the food is great. Tony is the best. All the I-hops should have the staffs trained at this location they really make you feel welcomed.Parking: Never had a problem with parkingKid-friendliness: We love how friendly the staff is to the kids.“
“Mila’s Cafe is breath of fresh air in NYC and a reminder of what a joy it is to support small businesses. You can sit down or take out. It is CASH-ONLY. The food is incredible and so are the two employees; Sergio and the cashier. You can order any breakfast sandwich or platter, and the prices are truly reasonable. Sometimes there may be a line, so please be patient as there are only two people but the wait is well worth it.“
“The shakes are delicious and have their own flavor to them that makes me think of food I had as a kid. While also giving me tons of energy to spare even though I'm already energetic. But it helps with my gym workouts that I've started. Also the people are kind and social. So its never boring. They help with advice on whatever goal your going for and what they'd recommend if you don't know how to start.“
“Unexpected find when doing a quick search for breakfast on the way back from JFK! Very friendly and welcoming staff and service. I had a stack of amazingly fluffy pancakes. My friends had a mix of Brooklyn bakers and egg sandwiches. All great. Coffee was good too. I would recommend and would go back if ever in the area.“
“Very cute shop. The Capitan burrito with chorizo was so good! And can’t go wrong with eggs benny. Kinda wish they served one toast, salmon, eggs Benny. It got soggy by the time I was on my second one and it wasn’t really too good.Buttermilk chicken tenders were really good!Ricotta pancakes were meh, and coffee was meh.“
“This is by far the best IHOP in the area. We cross the GW Bridge from Riverdale to go here, rather than the IHOP a mile away in the Bronx. The food is cooked well, the scrambled eggs are creamy, and they serve fresh-squeezed orange juice. Moreover, it is open 24 hours and is the only local restaurant in the area that isn't a diner.“
“There was a lot going on here. Took a moment to get my bearings. One side was hot foods and made to order salads, the other side of the store was assorted sandwiches/burgers and coffee/teas. There was a lot of people working efficiently. Vibe was casual. There were some seats at the back of the store. Food and drinks were decent for a quick bite on the way somewhere.“
“I've only ever ordered delivery here and I'll continue to do that. This is one of the best places in the Bronx for breakfast. It's affordable good food. And whoever decided to start wrapping up the drinks to protect your whole order when customers use the delivery services, God Bless You! This is one of the only places I order from where I get to drink all of my coffee and not find half of it flooding the paper bag. I really appreciate that.“
“The steak tacos are my favorite; I prefer the traditional over the American style. The bacon egg and cheese is good too. One of the better places in the Kingsbridge area to get a quick bite to eat. Only downside is how small it is. It's mostly a strictly to-go small restaurant with enough room for 3 to 4 people at a time inside. The people who work there are very nice and they serve food quick and efficient.“
“Ordered two Wall Street omelets, they were decent, but I cannot tell that I will order again. The muffin seemed to be not fully backed inside and omelet felt as almost cooked as well (was a bit wet inside, it feels that it’s not supposed to be like this). Overall, the atmosphere is fine, service is fine, but maybe not the best experience. 2 omelets, 1 juice and 1 cappuccino - around 45 dollars without tips.“
“This place is a hidden gem! We came in from out of town and wanted some low-key breakfast so went here. Food was so freaking good, the pancakes and waffles were perfectly fluffy and tasty, breakfast sandwich was exactly what I was craving, and meals came with free coffee ?? will definitely be back again!!!“
“For Breakfast, I bought French Toast and an Omelet. Most bodegas in the area don't make French Toast (a few don't know what French Toast is), so I was fortunate to discover that this place makes French Toast. There isn't much room to eat inside the place, so I think it's mostly take out orders. My food was ready relatively quickly. Approximately 5 minutes and the food itself was fine in a basic way.“
“Casual but efficient and friendly service at this vibrant American bistro. Not a big menu but good choices to appeal to different tastes. The octopus salad was delicious and the fried chicken true to a Korean recipe and generously proportioned. The desserts all looked too good and decadent to choose. The chocolate tart was more modest in decadence and very tasty. Reasonable prices.“
“TRIED THE SAUSAGE, EGG, CHEESE AND HASHBROWN ON AN ENGLISH MUFFIN & IT WAS INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS. ALL OF THE INGREDIENTS WERE VERY FRESH AND MOST IMPORTANTLY NOT FULL OF OIL. THE ORANGE JUICE IS TO DIE FOR- FRESHLY SQUEEZED. I AM SUPER PLEASED WITH THIS CAFE AND WILL BE RECOMMENDING FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO GO SUPPORT THEM AND TRY THEIR FANTASTIC FOOD OPTIONS. THANK YOU SO MUCH LITE BITES CAFE!“
“You cannot find a better salad in this neighborhood, the vegetables are so fresh and when you order over the phone they will make sure to not add the dressing until it’s picked up so that it doesn’t get soggy. This attention to detail is what makes this place gourmet, you’ll have a hard time finding another deli serving salads like this place anywhere nearby.“
“I Stop In Here Every Chance I Get…Their Deli Meats And Salads Are Always Fresh. They Make The Best Deli Sandwiches Around. It’s A Family Store. The Owner, His Sons, Nephews,And His Cousin. They Are Very Nice To Their Customers. If You Ask For Something That They Don’t Have.Just Ask Them. They Will Get It.Their Milk & Chips Are Always Fresh.“
“I just LOVE this place!!! Great service, food, prices and vibes! The best bar in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Don't pass by without stopping in for a drink and great food. I'm actually going back after work for their amazing wings. SOOOO YUMMY!!! Very satisified customer. :) :)“
“Uri's coffee is something you have to see to believe. There are hundreds food trailers scattered around New York City. Uri's appears to be some kind of bizzare anomaly with how uniquely busy it is. I saw no less than 4 separate door dash like services lined up here waiting to pick up the many orders the busy staff was working to fulfill in a kitchen no larger than a small truck bed. Their signature item is a breakfast burrito which comes with all kinds of bonus goodies like avocado, hot peppers, and a flavorful green salsa served on the side. I hope Uri's continues to be a huge hit, because the hard working owners deserve your money more than most. I dream to one day maybe see this as a larger truck or even a restaurant, that would warm my heart and I think feed a lot of hungry people on the upper east side.“
“I knew this place was going to be good — I love hole in the wall joints. And boy, was I right. The food was on point, the price cannot be beat, and Anthony, my server, was delightful.5/5 across the board and definitey will be returning!“
“The Dirty Kitchen(traditional name given by Harlemites) is a go to for breakfast, especially in the early am.They close around noon so not a lot of time but they get slammed from 5am-11:30am so come early. The place is whole in the wall but the food is excellent. Like the breakfast your grandma made back in the day. They also give free coffee with any order before 10am.“
“I was running errands and was glad I stopped to get a quick bite here! Menu is simple and diverse. Food is tasty and is good for on the go or to stay. There is seating inside and outside. Definitely coming here for lunch next time I’m in the neighborhood. Chicken panini was tasty, fries were crispy just how I like them. Generous portions. Staff was very nice and helpful.“
