Almost doubled back for another one it was so good (self restraint won).Delicate, flaky, caramelized crust. Fluffy, light, moist pull-apart center. I usually find glazed pastries too sweet, but this one was perfect - just sweet enough to hit the spot but not too sweet that it feels heavy.The balance of flavors is just right. “Hidden gem! I always see how packed the restaurant is at all times of the day and decided to try it out. The lattes we had were delicious! And the brunch special was superb! The chickpea curry had the perfect amount of spice. The seating area is rather small, so come in early for a seat. We had to sit at the shared seating couch - which is laptop free! “This review was long overdue. I’ve been coming here for years even though I don’t live nearby. Seitan’s helper has the best vegan sandwiches in NYC. I travel to the city specifically for seitan’s helper, it is worth the two hour trip plus traffic. Everything on the menu is amazing. I recommend EVERYTHING! Every time I make the trip, I make sure to stock up. i usually get the triple threat which is one of my favorites. If you’re unsure what to get an If you’re unsure what to get i recommend building your own sandwich.All the seitan, breads , sauce's and etc are all made from scratch. You can tell a lot of love goes into what they do. Not only is their food amazing but so is their customer service. They are so welcoming and accommodating. Today I went there at 9PM, after a long day at work. They were getting ready to close, no one was there but they opened the back area for me to have dinner, turned on the heat, let me take my time to eat didn't rush me, AG was very welcoming and so kind to check if I needed anything and let me stay after they close for the day. The place was packed but they keep it moving and everyone looks quite happy with their food. Some of the best pasta we’ve had in a long time. The mushroom pasta I had was on long thick cuts of homemade pasta cooked perfectly and the mushoom mixture was excellent and I really appreciated it cooked in white wine sauce instead of heavy cream you usually get. My wife ordered something not on the menu for her and my daughter. Home made spaghetti with vodka sauce and grilled shrimp and waiter offered meatballs and spaghetti for my daughter. They loved it. My son had the lasagna and finished every morsel. I don’t leave too many reviews but this place deserves it 100%. Thank you.“

Each time I have gone the staff have been eh, lots of workers scrambling around and not being helpful, but other than that the quality of the croffles out weighs my annoyance with the staff.“
