“Their turmeric bun is insanely good. Was lucky enough to catch it right as it was fresh out of the oven and waiting to be glazed. Almost doubled back for another one it was so good (self restraint won).Delicate, flaky, caramelized crust. Fluffy, light, moist pull-apart center. I usually find glazed pastries too sweet, but this one was perfect - just sweet enough to hit the spot but not too sweet that it feels heavy.The balance of flavors is just right. Just a hint of turmeric that isn't at all overpowering.“

“This is some of the best food of any kind l've had in my 45 years living in NYC. Honestly, it's amazing, chef Jose is delightful and his dishes are so nuanced and delicious. Octopus tostados are heavenly, I have no idea what all it consist of but they are delicious. There are three, I can't eat more than two but the last is always enjoyed by someone else at the table. Burrito are a staple for my lunch/dinner... so fresh and comforting. AND I'm not really a fan of most Mexican food but this is on a whole other level. I just finished a salad of shrimp, avocado, mango, cherry tomato, with paper thin fennel shredded on top. The shrimp are cooked to perfection, not rubbery at all but ever so slightly firm and succulent. I live in Manhattan and there isn't anything near me as delicious and fresh.It’s really a special place.“

“I don't ever really write reviews, but after today's visit I wanted to share. I have been going to Cafe Turkey since they first opened, the food is very yummy, fresh, the service is amazing. Today I went there at 9PM, after a long day at work. They were getting ready to close, no one was there but they opened the back area for me to have dinner, turned on the heat, let me take my time to eat didn't rush me, AG was very welcoming and so kind to check if I needed anything and let me stay after they close for the day. It felt like a family not a just business. Thank you AG for making my night feeling so welcome at my local favorite restaurant in Astoria.“

Nina, Julie, Paul, and staff have done an amazing job at cultivating a sense of community that I have not seen at any cafe before and it is a unique staple of forest hills, queens. They are really good at developing their staff and you can really see that the staff feel appreciated and enjoy working there. And by community, somehow the customers the cafe attracts are all positive and super nice. The cafe makes you want to act on your best behavior maybe because we all know we want to keep coming here and keep the vibes great. lol I enjoy the customers and the interactions here. I personally have tried a few of their vegan & gluten free cakes which weee definitely something new, but were great. “Diana and her Little Chef team catered a few 60 person events for us. She was so easy to work with, and her team is really great as well. We did a cocktail reception with passed hors d'oeuvres, and her food is delicious. She will work with you on a menu within your budget and dietary restrictions, and it really feels like Diana and her team care about the success of your event and making sure all goes smoothly. I can't recommend her highly enough!“

“The croffles here are really good! I really like the blueberry, Oreo, and cherry flavors! They are pretty big and the price is very reasonable! The mochi donuts are ok, I'd rather get a croffle for two more dollars. The space is pretty tight so it can't accommodate large groups unless you go to the outside seating areas. Each time I have gone the staff have been eh, lots of workers scrambling around and not being helpful, but other than that the quality of the croffles out weighs my annoyance with the staff.“

The atmosphere is fun with a chill, calm ambiance to decompress or wfh with minimal distractions. Close walking distance to the trains, rock climbing gym or LIC waterfront. “I decided to check this spot out on a whim around two years ago, and since then Bee has been my go-to spot to grab a coffee and to sit and get some work done. The staff here is incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the ambience - from the decor to the lighting and the music - is incredibly warm and inviting. I love that customers have the option of selecting from various types of seating including swerving stools, booths, tables, couches in both indoor seating and outdoor seating. My personal favorite is the beautiful Bee garden in the back end of the cafe which offers "outdoor" seating which is closed off but still gives you the option of getting some sunlight. Off the menu, my favorite is the Kimchi fries. I have already introduced multiple of my friends and family to Bee, and would recommend anyone to check out this spot if they can.“

Some items seemed so over-the-top, but they're not as crazy as they first appear. I landed on The Old Boy. Flavors were delicious, and oversized, but not too unwieldy. The only thing that threw me a little was I couldn't tell if the meat was ground beef or thinly sliced meat that was chopped SUPER fine because of how small the pieces were.For a drink, I got a malted cold brew. I've had other malted coffees and this didn't disappoint. Right up there with the best ones.“

Like the design, you'll also find a mix of things to choose from like gelato to cookies, pastries, donuts, macarons and breakfast sandwiches? We got the original bingsoo which was had a hefty portion of mochi and red bean. Taste was okay, I think there was way too much mochi. Could've used more soybean powder or sub with nuts. I also got a raspberry jelly filled donut which had a nice fluffy dough but the jelly inside was too sweet. I've also sampled their black sesame and passion fruit gelato which were both decent but not the best gelato imo. Place is clean and service was good so i gave 4 stars instead of 3!“

This team does not mess around and the food does not miss. I had the huevos rancheros, a large plate of food with plenty of everything. I poured on additional salsa verde and consumed the whole thing: delicious. I paired my food with a cup of fresh-squeezed orange juice, and it was the best OJ I've had in recent memory. My partner had the huevos mexicanos with chorizo, which comes with warm corn tortillas. She liked it, though the rice and beans proved to be a formidable challenger.
