50 Best Gastropubs near Flushing

The Porsche Club at Citi Field Gastropubs •
41 Seaver Wy, Flushing

“Full disclosure, I'm a Yankees fan. However, my wife and I love all things baseball and our goal is to visit all of the ballparks. Citi Field was our 15th park and it's honestly a great ballpark. Getting here was super easy and the subway brings you right outside the park. We came for a Mets-Yankees game and it was a really fun atmosphere, lots of heckling, but no fights and just a good, fun rivalry. Drinks were great and they have lots of options, which was a good thing since we had a rain delay and had time to kill. The real standout here was the food and this was some of the best ballpark food we've experienced. My wife loved her lobster roll and I absolutely loved my porchetta sandwich. Ours views of the game were also great and it's a very nice ballpark overall!“

“SEARCH NO MORE for your next intimate & fun party venue! CHARLIE'S, The Bonnie's sister bar right next door was everything I dreamed of and more for my 30th Birthday party. Let me set the scene for ya'll... 35 of my closest friends, Game of Thrones themed decor & fits, cocktails that made everyone say "I drink and I know things" and the most fire food in the neighborhood... the party was a SLAY. Tali, the company's event coordinator, is the sweetest, most hard-working, and detail-oriented, especially when it comes to your event. She even went above and beyond to surprise me with a GOT themed menu by naming my cocktails after details of life. For example, she named the spicy margarita after my dog, "Kevyn the Kingslayer." COME ON! How amazing is that?!Speaking of cocktails... the incredible bartender, Olivia, bartended Red Witch magic with the amazing cocktails she made for everyone. She even dressed along with the theme, with her sword, serving vibes that was giving Night's Watch combined with Red Keep of the Bar. Everyone kept raving about every cocktail she made with style and care. When it comes to the food, The Bonnie always delivers, so of course my hopes were high for Charlie's. AND MY HOPES WERE MET! The ham and cheese toastie platter was delicious. The franks in a blanket were some of the best I've ever had. The beef sliders were a HUGE hit. And there were veggie options so we had the veggie quesadilla and the mac and cheese bites which were a crowd favorite.Overall, this party at Charlie's made me feel like Daenerys Targaryen on top of her Throne, like the Queen that was promised. Thank you to the Bonnie's manager Gerard for popping in to see if everything was going smoothly as well! That was so sweet. To The Bonnie/Charlie's staff - Tali, Olivia, Gerard, barbacks - Marvin & Pascual, and the talented chefs/kitchen staff, thank you so much! Your hospitality is EPIC!“

“For an American restaurant with a kinda Korean influence, this is the spot. Burgers, appetizers, pizza, and etc., all in a western menu type with a Korean twist.A must get is the bushwick buldak which a pizza with rice cake and fried chicken pieces. The sauce is included with Korean spices that take it to the next level. Tots not pictured are also a great get and you can’t sleep on their fried chicken which is really juicy with tons of flavor. If you can handle a little spice I’d try toe gochunjung over soy garlic, had both, but think the gochunjung is a bit more unique.Fun fact the dough made by all the pizza was from a starter that the previous owner of the spot Faro used and sort of pays homage to them, which is a cool story to tell. The vibes are cool with r&b and hip hop playing in the background, fun place for a dinner with friends or a date.Staff was friendly and bathrooms clean. Definitely gives the place its vibe. Noise level is that of a constant chatter with some music in the background. I believe Gill hosted us and he was very helpful. We had two spicy margaritas and I enjoyed mine. My daughter's wasn't as hot as she had liked it or thought it would and Gill had no problem adjusting it for her. We ordered the guac and I'm not a fan of it. However, this one tasted good. I had the plantains and meat and mushroom ensemble. It's an appetizer and it was great. Blended well with each other. My daughter had the steak tacos and she loved it. Overall the price is what you make it. I enjoyed myself, my daughter got a new place to call home and I'll be back to visit Alcove.“

“If you're craving for Korean fried chicken, this is your spot! Mad For Chicken is a popular Korean snack food chain. We dined here on Friday late afternoon, and it wasn't busy at all. They have lunch special for $14.95 that came with a drink.I got the Crispy Chicken Bowl with signature crispy chicken, Korean glass noodles, steamed vegetables, romaine, corn, pico, gucamole, hickory bbq sauce, crema and choice of white rice or quinoa. It was like Korean style Chipotle/Bibimbap bowl served in a claypot! It is delicious and has everything that you can possibly want in one bowl and every bite.Of course, we had to get the Korean fried chicken and Kimchi Fries to share. The chicken was crisp on the outside but so juicy on the inside. The spicy mayo on the kimchi fries elevated the dish with a kick. “Every time I've dined-in or out the food from this place has been a consistent hit !! I will always recommend anything that can be plated with their old bay fries because they might be the best fries you ever have !!! Bedford Plank Burger ( + cheddar cheese , + applewood smoked bacon) - Rating : 60/10 Hanger Steak - Rating : 500/10 Pickle Back Fried Chicken Sandwich - Rating : 9/10 (I wasn't a fan of the pickle-back slaw, it was a bit heavy and overpowering. I scrapped maybe 2-3/4 of the slaw off for an ideal portion, but other than that the chicken sandwich itself was great !) Now I must admit the decor inside is a bit rustic and heavily cloaked in dim lighting, but if that's not your style the outside tables are a great alternative (if the weather permits). As far as customer service goes the staff have always been inviting in a laid back manner. I've only ever dined-in during the early evening and it's been very easy to be seated and served. At night I typically rely on take-out which has also been easy to retrieve, and thanks to the packaging the food retains its heat and texture until I reach my house.“

Food was great, as were drinks. My friend ordered a cider and I had a ginger mocktail (can't remember the name). Very well done! For food, my table got the ceviche, fish (which was massive) and chips (perfect), mushy peas (delicious, was glad I cautiously tried them), and the special pie of the day, steak and oyster pie. The pie was better than any steak pie I've had- buttery, crisp crust, a rich sauce, and a really lovely, savory filling. We were absolutely stuffed by meal's end so I ordered a sticky toffee pudding to go, which was absolutely spot on. Can't recommend this place enough.“

“Like coming here once a month to see whats new on the menu. This week was a crazy prime beef donut. That correct a jelly donut but instead of jelly it has meat!! I don't know if it was deep fried or baked but it was delicious. The dough trapped the moisture and flavors as it was prepared creating a mouthful of delicious!! The side salad helped balance the carb load. Arugula with a sweet olive oil dressing!!“

“Nice divey bar with great drinks and bar food. We came in before going out to a local escape room a few blocks away and weren't disappointed with the quality drinks and food. Highly recommend the burgers and the drinks. Service is great turn bar tender was friendly and recommended some great cocktails. The bar seating is limited but there are plenty of small tables and bench seating. Overall it's a great bar with nice atmosphere. The decor is a bit all over the place from winter decorations to mistletoes everywhere. Very cozy.“

“This used to be my drinking hole after work pre-pandemic and a wonderful place to be for the alcohol as well as the good food. Go to here is always the burgers and the sweet potato fries which are mouth-watering. I came with some out of town friends and was not disappointed. Love all the NYC Irish pubs and this one is sure to please.“

“Since moving to GP, my favorite find has been The Brew Inn. We thought it was going to be your typical dive bar but were happily surprised by the amazing food and staff. It’s become a reliable place if we ever need a last minute dinner option. We often go for trivia and love the atmosphere. All the food is amazing too!Vegetarian options: Salads, pierogis, burrata, fries“

“A comfortable, no-frills bar where you can relax and order drinks. There is plenty of seating available and a really pleasant atmosphere in the bar. The drinks were excellent and fairly priced. Though it's a well-liked location in the neighborhood, it may get crowded on the weekends. Would return without a doubt if I were ever in the area again!“

“The bar bar is conveniently located near the stadium and surrounded by other bars and restaurants which makes it a busy block. This is great when looking to bar hop. The bar is aesthetically pleasing. We were immediately greeted the second we walked in the door and were told we can sit anywhere but would have to come up to the bar to order food and drinks. It was a little busy when we got there around 5 on a Saturday and was packed by 7. The place was very clean, the bartenders were very friendly, the drinks were reasonably priced and the decor was pleasing to the eye. They have extra seating down below and up above which is also very neat. The drinks were reasonably priced as well. Overly enjoyed it very much but it isn't too much fun when you have to constantly keep going up and hover around a group of people at the bar just to order drinks. Additional servers on the floor would make this place a 5.“

“Really love the atmosphere of this bar. The music is never too loud and has a chill vibe. Enjoy the decent priced cocktails ($12-$15), there’s a really good whiskey sour and Paloma. Staff is always nice and attentive. Had the food once, not bad but nothing fancy.Favorite is karaoke night on Wednesdays. They grab songs online so you hear all types English or Spanish and the queue for your song isn’t usually too long. LGBTQ+ friendly.“
