“I wanted to know if this would live up to it's high rating so decided to give it a try. I went on a Wednesday at 11:30am. There is parking across the street, behind the building. It's municipal 1 hour free parking. There is metered 2 hour parking in the front. While we were there, we were the only dine in customers. They were doing a lot of take out. We had the dumplings and the ramen. There was a lot of ramen. The pork was tender and juicy. The egg was creamy and not at all salty. The broth was the star. It was flavorful but not salty. It had depth. I could do with less oil but that's a tiny complaint. It lived up to the hype.Parking: Free one hour parking across the street. Metered two hour parking in the street.Wheelchair accessibility: Tight but doable.“
“I had the split ramen and appetizer combo. The ramen was very good and it was very filling. The spicy wings were the best wings I had in a while. The taro bubble tea was also very good. Sarah H was also provided us with amazing service, always making sure we were taken care of. I highly recommend this place!“
“I drive past this place on my way to work regularly and always see the lunch specials sign. I finally decided to give them a try and I was not disappointed ! Small place but staff were super friendly and my food was delicious ! My lunch special portion was so large I had enough to save for lunch the next day. I will be back !“
“I love the interior of this shop. It is so exciting and stylish. I love the private stalls as well. The ramen was surprisingly good. We went there just to grab something between a soccer game and a violin lesson with my son. I did not expect much thinking this is another Chinese ramen place, but ramen here was surprisingly above my expectation. It is not special, but it tastes like a regular ramen in Japan. My son had the combination ramen (you can enjoy two different tastes), a bun, and a tea. He was satisfied as well. I will go back if I have a chance.“
“Love this place. The staff is incredibly nice and the food is delicious. The takoyaki was so good. Highly recommend the spicy miso ramen. Loved the pork gyoza with the dipping sauce. The seaweed salad was very tasty too. Definitely making this a go to spot in Syosset.“
“The Aloha Bowl is fantastic!!! My husband had the chicken teriyaki and we we're both extremely happy with the portions as we Love this place! We'll be back again and again. Thank you Poke waitress Casey, you suggested the best bubble tea ever!!!“
“TLDR: I regularly visit Nipon Cha and it never fails to deliver an amazing dining experience. The ambiance, service, and food are always exceptional. My go-to dish, the spicy tuna don, is a flavor-packed delight. Even my girlfriend's curry pork Katsu don, which is a tad sweet for my taste, is always enjoyable. I can't recommend Nipon Cha enough to anyone who appreciates authentic Japanese cuisine.I recently had the pleasure of dining at Nipon Cha, and it was nothing short of an extraordinary experience. From the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed with impeccable courtesy and hospitality, truly reflecting the essence of Japanese service. The restaurant exudes a beautiful ambiance, striking the perfect balance between tranquility and liveliness. It's a sight to behold as customers relish their meals and enjoy the company of their loved ones. The food and drinks at Nipon Cha are consistently impressive. I ordered the spicy tuna don, a masterpiece that melds perfectly vinegared rice, spicy raw tuna, avocado, and a gently boiled onsen egg. A symphony of savory, tangy, sweet, and salty notes danced on my palate with every bite. The dish was elegantly complemented with a side of delicious miso soup. I savored every bit of my meal, ensuring not a single grain of rice was left in my bowl.My girlfriend's choice, the curry pork Katsu don, was no less impressive. The curry, sweet and light as is characteristic of Japanese cuisine, was a delightful pairing with the crispy, yet tender and juicy pork. The dish was served on a bed of white rice, topped with a refreshing salad. The curry was cleverly served on the side to prevent the dish from becoming soggy. Although it leaned slightly towards the sweeter side for my personal taste, I found myself thoroughly enjoying it.Every visit to Nipon Cha feels like a mini vacation to Japan. Sitting by the window, watching the world go by, I felt immersed in a peaceful and serene atmosphere. This restaurant has quickly become my go-to spot for all occasions, whether it's a family gathering, a date night, or just catching up with friends. To anyone seeking an unparalleled Japanese dining experience, I cannot recommend Nipon Cha enough. Their consistent delivery on taste and presentation, coupled with their warm hospitality, makes every visit a delight. You certainly won't be disappointed!“
“I really enjoyed MB Ramen. The ambiance was anime-styled, and the food was great. I ordered the Tan Tan, and my wife chose the MB Ramen (first picture), and we both thought it was great. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meal. We will come back again. I visited around 3 pm on a weekday, and it wasn’t too busy. We were seated right away.“
“The ambiance of Cha Menya is aesthetic, beautiful and relaxing. The service and food were impeccable! We had the karage and ika for starters. They were delicious! The ika especially exceeded my expectations. For mains we had the triple shrimp and the tsukemen. Both were delicious but my favorite was the tsukemen. Everything in both ramen's were cooked perfectly and the both was amazing.“
“We came here looking to fix a craving for traditional ramen without the hassle of travelling down to NYC. Upon entering we were greeted and sat ourselves down. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. We had to place our orders via our phones, which is convenient because they're arranged based on your seat, and it ensures that your order is taken and prepared correctly. We shared an order of Takoyaki and Pork Shumai, both of which came out fantastic. Presentation was perfect and the takoyaki was crispy and flaky on the outside, and soft on the inside. The texture of the shumai was excellent as well. For her entree my friend got the Duke's Shrimp Boil and added a boiled egg, nori, and scallions. I got the Chicken Chashu Ramen and added scallions, a boiled egg, bok choy, nori, and spicy crunchy garlic oil. We both tried each other's ramen and agreed that both were masterfully prepared. Portions were generous and filling and everything tasted as expected. The presentation was also superb and overall it was an amazing experience. For dessert I decided to try some of the mochi. I got three flavors: salted caramel, cake batter, and vegan lychee. The salted caramel and cake batter mochi were good. Nothing spectacular but good enough. The vegan lychee wasn't too good in my opinion. Maybe it's the fact that it was vegan, but didn't like it at all. The texture was crumbly and had a gritty mouth feel. For how good everything else was, I was a little disappointed with the mochi, but it's only a small part of the experience.Overall I think Duke's Ramen is definitely worth visiting for ramen connoisseurs. Besides the mochi, everything else was fantastic and affordable, with very fair portions. I should mention also that the restaurant was also very clean. I will definitely return to try their other offerings“
“Great place to eat quick lunch in Port Washington. I’ve been here for over four times and tried different ramen and appetizers over the years. Service is friendly and efficient. Ramen is ok, takoyaki is very good! Lunch special is amazing value. It comes with appetizer, main dish with drink.Last time they offered us hot tea in a pot and that was special.“
“The service is nice, the store was empty when we came in we were the only customers. The store is really dark and the ambience is a bit calm because the music wasn't blasting in our ears. We ordered the Japanese shumai and it was okay to say the best. We also got braised beef noodle soup and it was good. I liked how there were different types of noodles you could pick, we picked egg noodles. The beef was soft and literally just melted in your mouth. However, we did hear the microwave go off a couple of times before getting our food which was kind of weird.“
“Small section of Japanese market in rear. Great for quick Ramen fix! Very limited menu. Delivery in rear disturbs dining as cartons coming in take up space on tables. Very nice staff...used to frequent their restaurant in Little Neck which was more pleasant to dine in and had a larger menu including sushi.“
“Nohara Ramen is the solid choice for Great Neck and the surrounding area. The Char Siu that is served with some of the ramen is tender and tasty. Many of the appetizers such as the Nohara Fries and fried chicken are well prepared. I’ve gotten to know the staff in this restaurant since we do take out from them each week and eat in once in a while.Good people making and serving good food. This restaurant survived through COVID based on their commitment and quality.“
“My teenage son put me onto this spot. Amazing hot spot. Ramen soup bursting with flavor. Service was very warm and welcoming. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and want some amazing food. Can’t wait to go back.Parking: Plenty of spotsKid-friendliness: Kid hot spot.“
“Came here with my husband and ordered a variety of rolls. All were great. In our opinion it’s the best sushi in the area Mineola/Garden City/New Hyde Park area but is a little pricey, especially considering the vibe and feel of the restaurant.“
“I didn’t realize that there were two DIFFERENT restaurants in the same building. Their decor is also pretty similar with all the One Piece “WANTED” poster.. don’t be like me and if you’re meeting people for ramen IT’S ON THE GROUND FLOOR. Izakaya (I was sitting up there reading their menu for a bit lol) has yakitori and Japanese hot pot.I came here with my fam and kiddo on a Friday night. We were able to get a table no problem and there were two different servers manning the restaurant. They were so friendly with our toddler, allowed us to walk around with her so she wouldn’t get fussy during our meal, and were just fantastic. The ramen wasn’t the best I’ve ever had BUT for the price per bowl it’s definitely worth it. We also got a couple of apps which were delicious as well. The best one we ordered, hands down, had to be the agedashi tofu. Usually at other restaurants I’d get a couple small square blocks of fried tofu and some sauce. Here, you get a bunch of bonito flakes that added that extra umami flavor, scallions, and pickled radish. Delish! We were surprised with mochi ice cream on the house at the end of the meal and if that wasn’t a sweet enough deal, if you pay with cash you have an 8% discount. It was definitely one of my family cheaper dinner nights out and we’ll be back again!“
“I went to this place for lunch with some of my friends and it was amazing! The tonkotsu ramen was so good with the best toppings and we tried the gyoza, scallion pancakes, and chicken wings and they were all DELECTABLE! I highly recommend to anyone around the area and will be coming back whenever I come around the area “
“The broth is a flavor symphony and the noodles are perfection. But their omurice is an absolute game-changer. The savory omelette over fluffy rice is a must-try alongside their ramen delights. Quick service, cozy vibes, and a menu that hits all the right notes.“
“The food is absolutely delicious ? Halal Ramen! Finally! Lol. The waiters/waitresses are really kind, patient and helpful. The restaurant is always clean and there’s always a vacant table when I arrive. I love going here, thank you guys for the yummy food and great customer service!“
“What a cold night it was yesterday. My son and I had just finished watching a movie and we were hungry, so we decided on some ramen to warm us up.Everything we ordered was served quickly by some very nice ladies. My spicy tuna roll was delicious and my son enjoyed his takoyali very much. We both ordered Tonkotsu ramen. I always order miso ramen, so it was my first go with Tonkotsu. I liked it. As did my son. Wish I could compare it, so.I.could rate it higher.Atmosphere was nice. And everyone was very friendly.“
“When there for a quick lunch for two. Upon entering we realized we were the only guests in the restaurant. The staff was quick to see us and sat us down at a booth. The place is spacious and gives nautical vibes. Ordered two ramen combos which have the options of one ramen of choice and one appetizer for choice. I had the spicy ramen with soy chicken wings and my partner had ramen and buns. The food came at a decent time and was hot, service was good as well. The only small take back was the bathroom could use a little cleaning. Overall I would recommend this place and would go back to try the seafood options.“
“Repeat | Repeat | Repeat...I am still thinking about the mouth watering flavor of the Chef's Special Ramen...the small hint of chile oil that just catches you every now and again made it that much better. We started with the edamame which was charred to perfection. And also had the panko shrimp bao buns which were almost too pretty to eat...almost. So happy I finally made it here and I am looking forward for to returning to try more things on the menu!“
“This is our new " go to" restaurant in Glen Cove. The decor is playful and inviting. The wait staff efficient and friendly. And the food absolutely wonderful. Every time we return we order something different. Especially loved the Shrimp Domburi and Chicken Shoyu Ramen. You could honestly have a meal eating just the appetizers. Don't forget their rewards program! I was able to get $6 off our dinner order. BOGO wine is a plus.Check this place out, you won't be disappointed!“
