“I stopped into this restaurant this afternoon with a coworker as I was in the Albany area. I've never heard of this restaurant, but was so excited to find the quantity of reviews on yelp. When we rolled in, we found out that they won the war for the best Italian restaurant in all of Albany for 15 years in a row, can you believe that they beat the Olive Garden for this honor? I had the chicken Parm and it was tasty.”
“We have been getting take out from here for years. The quality and portions have always been outstanding. We have NEVER gotten a bad meal. Pearl Of The Orient is our go to restaurant for chinese.”
“Horrible experience. The manager was attending drive thru. I first tried to tell him the drive thru code to earn points, he hard time to accept it. Then I created the order myself and tried to give him the drive thru order code, he again had hard time accepting it. Then he instructed me to come to the pickup window. I showed him the order code and he still kept on telling me that the code is not in the system and instructed me to come inside. I then changed the order pickup method to "counter" and picked-up the order without any issues. All I could think is that the manager may be untrained. What a shame!!!”
“Very busy on a Sunday morning. Wait for a table was only 15 minutes, or there was room at the bar to split right away. We sat at the bar and were greeted right away by our server. Put in our coffee order, and we also put an order in for the French toast sticks. We got our French toast sticks in about 10 minutes. Right as we finished them up, our breakfast came out. The timing was perfect. French toast sticks were excellent, and you could easily make a meal out of them. We ordered the Nashville hot buritto with home fries. Order of eggs with toast and hash and also home fries. All the food was hot when it came out. The buritto had a nice amount of chicken inside of it. This is a place we will go back to and would be worth waiting to get a table.”
“We were there last night for a friend’s birthday. Place was packed but we had a reservation and were seated quick. Apps, entrees and desserts were all delicious and huge servings. The pineapple tropical margarita was so tasty! Our server Dayana was very sweet and attentive. She made my friend’s birthday very special. We will definitely be going back!”
“Delicious, quick, and satisfying. When there’s a line, it’s a good sign. Snowman had one stretching to the sidewalk and while the wait was not long I quickly understood the reasons one existed. First, they’ve got a ton of fun flavors to choose from and then a whole bunch of ways to mix, match, dip, and stack ‘em! Second, it’s a creamy delight of wonderfulness that meets your mouth in every bite!Yummy!!”
“Only had one problem with the burger was well done instead of rare and I forgot to put the bacon on that order was to go but besides that it's always been excellent outstanding ???Parking: Not enough parking because the place is outstanding and everybody wants to be inside eating great food ?”
“I was at the Timonium Fairgrounds today and after tasting a sample I bought a Caribbean Rum Cake. Just had a piece and decided it is going to take major willpower not to go back and buy the rest of their inventory! Just delicious. And I must add all the people working the booth were just lovely, friendly and made the whole "Goodway Gourmet" experience a true joy!!”
“Food was amazingly good! All vegan but you would be hard pressed to tell (I'm not vegan). Service was perfectly fine as well as the atmosphere. Everyone was friendly and the place was very clean.”
“Nice little spot in the plaza. Always forget it's here. Hadn't been in years. Food was great, and our waitress Katherine was attentive and prompt. 10/10. If you want to try your favorite staples with a culinary twist I'd definitely recommend.”
“Unique restaurant with open kitchen/bar/grill and an assortment of cassettes!Slightly upscale diner food. Everything we ordered was seasoned well and quickly served.Only complaint was that the home fries were cold/lukewarm. It seemed like they cooked them and then put them off to the side of the flat top to stay warm but they weren’t even close to warm when we got them.Priced well, definitely worth it for breakfast/brunch!”
“This place is incredible. Delicious flavorful food, cool staff, and cozy atmosphere. This place is a gem, I've never had food like it. I can't recommend this place enough!”
“It was good experienceBut they didn’t mark the extra charge menu specifically. After we get the bill, we were surprised about the special charge that we didn’t know.”

“As someone who was diagnosed with celiac disease in my late 20’s it has been an adjustment, and traveling is nearly impossible it feels like. I work in healthcare and knowing I would be in the Albany area for a weekend I wanted to decrease my time in the kitchen, and try whatever food I could safely consume. I have little trust in reviewed gluten free restaurants or bakeries, due to not everyone being as sensitive as myself. When I came across this via the find me gluten free app, I know I had to try it. From the moment I walked in, to the moment I left and ate my sandwich I was amazed. The owner was kind and knowledgeable. I felt safe eating anything on the menu, and I honestly did not even know what to get! The menu had many items that I have not been able to eat in years since being diagnosed, but I went with the chicken Parmesan sandwich and got a pizza for later. Let me tell you, this was the best chicken Parmesan sandwich I have ever had, and this includes back to the time I was consuming gluten. It was fresh, had so much flavor, and the roll that it was on, TO DIE FOR! Everything was made fresh, and did not taste gluten free, made me a little scared, since most gluten free items are not the greatest tasting. The little donut holes are amazing! I can’t even describe them, they are soft and light like a fried dough, but the cinnamon on them, they just melt in your mouth without making you feel guilty for eating a donut! I could go on and on, this place is a must try, and I will be going back!Dietary restrictions: Dedicated gluten free facility. Does not utilize almond substitutes, and is aware of other food allergies. Very knowledgeable. I have celiac and a tree nut allergy.”
“This place was such a cool find on the way to lake placid! Obviously this is the capital of New York, however, this place is tucked into a main street. Service was really great and the food was excellent. My girlfriend and I split a sandwich and the chicken sandwich and it did not disappoint.”
“I ordered chicken biryani, and surprisingly, it was flavorful. The only issue was with dry chicken pieces. Otherwise, great service. All in all, it's good to have authentic Indian food in the capital district.”
“Best Latin food I ever had! I had the half rotisserie chicken and the Cuban empanada and it was out of this word! Also, when I arrived the food needed another 5-10 mins and they offered me a drink for good customer service, but didn’t take it as it was well worth the wait.”
“Lucky ? to have stopped at The Bunker during our stay in Greenbush. We sat at the bar and our server Lauren was so attentive, friendly and made a delicious dirty martini. The food was excellent! We ordered the salmon tacos and Philly cheesesteak, both scrumptious! Actually, I order fish tacos quite often and these were the best I’ve ever had. We will definitely stop in again when traveling through the are.”
“A very nice restaurant, but generally I don't enjoy their dinner menus. It's a bit too modern for my tastes with unusual and trendy dishes that seem to prioritize unusual ingredients over tasty dishes. That said, if you like that thing, they definitely do it well.I like stopping in for a burger or veggie burger at lunch, but their extended menu just isn't for me. The restaurant is run very well, staff is extremely professional, and the atmosphere is great.”
“if you're in the area, def worth coming in to try the menu. Ate here twice, tried maybe a quarter of the menu between the two of us, didn't have anything I wouldn't order again.”
“The best of Troy and its surroundings, I was attended to by Mr. Nicolás and I was surprised by his kindness and professionalism when being attended to..!! Always continue like this guys.!!!”
“This place has quickly become my go-to for a nourishing comfort meal!! The chicken schwarma rice platter is amazing - I always get 2 meals out of it - and their white sauce is out of this world. We usually order extra because it’s so good. Recently tried their falafel and their hummus and wow the obsession continues. Did I mention the pita? I am passionate about this place, people. This restaurant is inside of an indoor market with tons of other food surrounding it and I still beeline for their counter nearly every time I come here. The owners are super kind as well. They’re never allowed to close ever. Really nice portions, really amazing food, and I really like the Galleria vibes even though I usually do takeout. It’s a nice spot to eat, they keep it clean and have tons of options!”
“Gorgeous little gem of a store. Their employees are incredibly nice and friendly, and the yuzu egg tart in particular is a creamy delight. I'd love to try the chocolate one if I can ever get there in time, because they rightfully sell out of tarts quickly.”
“Service was great, food was near perfect. Most authentic turkish food i’ve tried stateside. Flavor and spices were on point. Salad was fresh. Will definitely be returning. Best halal food in the 518.”
“The service was outstanding. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable . Beer was incredible. Food was good, we got fries and cheese curds. I’ll make this stop every time I’m in Albany . Highly recommend .”
“I was very impressed with my experience at Ali Baba this past week. Although it has a large dining area there are many takeout orders that primarily serve as a large part of their business. The food was phenomenal. They gave huge portions for their prices. You can’t go wrong with the yogurt sauce and the pita bread. The Kebab is the best kept secret in my opinion. Can’t wait to go back.Vegetarian options: Lots of optionsParking: Street parking hit or missKid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: Yes flat entry”
“We went on Saturday for a wonderful Cacio e Pepe experience. Chef Ali and the staff are so welcoming and attentive. The Cacio e Pepe was fantastic and I enjoyed learning about the dish. I also sampled the tiramisu and a limoncello spritz - both delicious. We will be back!”
“Nonna Marie’s Italian Kitchen is absolutely amazing. The food is the best Italian food you’ll have and the staff are wonderful people! ❤️ This is my favorite dish there.”
“Best. Favorite. Restaurant. Ever. Anytime we make a trip to Albany we go to Lanie's. Their drinks don't compete with anywhere else and don't get me STARTED on their food. Their coconut shrimp is the best hands down and their sauce for it is rich with coconut and pineapple chunks. If you're ever in the area - it's a MUST go. It does get busy and they don't take reservations, but do have a waitlist. Service is great, never had a bad experience here.”
