“Met owner Joe and his Son and staff 1st time I went in and because I was looking for answers about my uncle that I hadn’t seen in a long time but I figured he hung out in this really nice cool looking Irish pub being that he is from Ireland! Joe and his son and staff answered so many questions, and I had a delicious pretzel and drink while they helped me more ways than I can thank them!! I consider them my new Besty‘s and I will be visiting them all the way from Long Island, but it will be the quickest 1 hour ride of my life I hope.lol I took the time last night when I got home after midnight to look at the website, I cannot believe the size of the place and how many people it potentially holds and I’m curious to see this coming Sunday St. Patrick’s Day —I am sure it will be packed to the rafters!! Joe was nice enough to take my phone number and he’s going to be in touch with me for some more personal reasons — but they were very busy and he patiently sat with me for hours -making phone call after phone call to try and locate some of my uncles buddies that might be able to answer some more of my questions!??? “Excellent watering hole! Nice drink variety. Kind and capable, Irish bartenders. Behan's hosts a more mature clientele. One can sit here, enjoy and pint with friends, and/or think a little without all the craziness. Clean bathrooms here along with ample seating, indoors and out. Two thumbs up!“
“We arrived early for dinner. Service was quick. The food was tasty, and portions were large. I had enough for lunch the next day.Parking: We were early on a week day in February, so parking was simple. I am sure it can get difficult on weekends and during the summer.“
“Visited this establishment for a post rugby match social hosted by the local club. Plenty of room in the front and the back when you go inside and also space outside to sit down and watch the games. There must have been over 40 of us and there was hardly a wait time for the turnaround for your drinks. The bartenders were friendly and the bar top was kept busy with good pints of Guinness going back and forth. Plenty of parking off Street for your designated drivers.“
“Food is always delicious! Emily is usually our server and is always smiling and very attentive and quick! We love coming to Doubleday's for Monday bingo, it's such a wonderful atmosphere that reminds us of cheers where everyone knows your name.“
“We had a Food Pantry Christmas party for the workers who volunteer we had a mixture of or different different hors d’oeuvres everything is delicious. The service is great. The food is delicious. There’s nothing negative I can say about McDermotts. It’s always a wonderful experience. If you haven’t tried it try them.“
