“We had never heard of Paesanos until we moved to Modena. We were happy to find out that the pizza is great, garlic knots are the best, extra crispy wings are amazing and the subs are delicious. Also prices are very reasonable. Only complaint is that they only deliver for cash.“

I really liked their pizza and so did my family which includes some smallish kids. We also ordered meatballs which were solid, and a house salad which was also very good. I was greeted by someone in the pizza oven area as well as the front counter and everyone was happy and nice. I waited for my to go food and had the Italian margarita while checking out the action in the kitchen. “We celebrated my brother in law’s birthday here and had to move our reservation by a half hour to 19:30, so glad we did because the place was packed, the wait time may have been longer, they were very busy. We waited for our table at the bar and noticed they had Blanton’s and Bulleit, two of our favorite bourbons :) The rough-hewn ceiling decor reminded me of the old days… with all types of antique kitchen cookware hanging from it, which lends to an old world charm. As appetizers, we ordered the Gnocchi Taleggio; Homemade Gnocchi in Taleggio Cheese - Cream Sauce topped with crunchy walnuts and garnished fresh parsley.Next we were able to customize our Burrata with quality prosciutto, which was a bit thickly sliced, but that’s ok. The Burrata was creamy… yum. Our waitress verbally gave us a vast specials list, Vincent was a bit hesitant (due to past experiences elsewhere) to order the filet mignon because they are not a steakhouse, but our waitress replied they have a butcher in-house ( as well as a pastry chef) that cuts and preps all the meats and she highly recommends it, with that, he decided to give it a try and selected it with a peppercorn sauce.It was a toss up between Venison with mushrooms in a Marsala sauce or Elk with a green peppercorn sauce between Chris and I, lol. Chris ordered the Elk, which turned out to be the best selection, mine (the venison) not so much. I thought the Mushrooms were a bit too dehydrated and the meat had a liver taste and consistency, I took it home. The mashed potatoes had a hint of truffle, but were a little loose. The broccoli was tasty, fresh and crunchy. We celebrated Chris’s Birthday with a tiramisu, our server came out singing Happy birthday, which was really nice. The complimentary bread with sautéed eggplant and herbs was a nice touch as well :)You don’t feel rushed, even though there’s other patrons waiting to be seated.The prices were great for the quality of food. We were treated very well by the staff and they continued to serve us through the night without having to be flagged down. The restaurant gives off vibes as if you’re dining in Italy at a family home.Another plus is there’s Ample parking.“

“What an exceptional place .Roland and his staff , which includes family members have struck a perfect balance at this restaurant.Aesthetically, inside the restaurant it is just beautiful. It’s very upscale and almost feels elegant without being overwhelming. The food preparation and presentation is beautiful and well done. Food choices are interesting and varied and the food is excellent. You feel like you’re in some elegant upscale restaurant, but the feel from the waiters and the staff is very welcoming and warm and friendly. Nobody is stuffy or arrogant or pretentious. They are very accommodating and if you have any dietary restrictions they’re also pleasant about any accommodations. They always have great specials each week.This is such a wonderful place to have a nice cozy dinner or to have a family get together. It just always feels good when we come here. “It is one of our favorite hangouts in the Hudson Valley. It has a great vibe, great food, great ambience, both in the winter and the summer time. I have NEVER called a pizza place and been told the wait was only 10 minutes. For sure is one of the top places in new paltz for pizza. They even let you get single garlic knots, and don’t make you order them in sets, which is dope. My only complaint is that the garlic knots are literally just little rolls covered in raw garlic- im talking COVERED in raw garlic. As a garlic lover, it was even too much for me. Did I eat them all? Yes. But only after I scraped it off.“

They have a huge array of different foods (Italian, tacos, fajitas, steaks , appetizers, etc. . I can't complain not one bit. “Highly variable quality. We are local and order takeout here several times a month. The pizza quality varies. On a good day, the pizza is fantastic. Other times the pizza is just ok. Stromboli are always excellent, so sometimes we just order those to avoid risking getting an ok pizza. The salads range from great to fair. Most times the greens are very fresh and dry, other times the salads are soggy and slimy. Lately, salads have been more consistently good. Sometimes the person answering the phone is courteous and responsive. Other times they respond in only one syllable words or incomprehensible grunts. Most times I get home to discover my order was filled correctly. Occasionally my order is incorrect, perhaps as a result of variable phone responsiveness/miscommunication. Wings are always great...really great! When ordering fresh, I expect fresh made food and I don’t mind waiting, but the sliders taste like they sat out for a loooong time. “This is my 4-5th time here in the last few years. Always a solid choice. Food is always good and service is usually on par. Ambiance is quiet and tranquil. Really can't ask for much more. Prices are regular Italian establishment type. Pizza is decent nice crust, good sauce, and toppings are fresh. Bread is crispy and warm. Pasta fagoli is good, Italian wedding is amazing, and the tortellini en brodo is klller! Deserts haven't partaken...can't seem to get there.“

“I believe I can most accurately judge how I like a restaurant's pizza by ordering a plain slice to start. My first time here so that's what I got. A surprisingly great slice of pizzat! The dough/crust is delicious, either the best or tied for best I've ever had. The sauce is excellent as well. The cheese was very tasty and almost tasted like "extra cheese" it was so cheesy... Fresh tasting somehow, I don't think they use mall-cheese (the standard premade "pizza cheese" mix) that many other places around here do. I actually don't like for it to taste like "extra cheese" unless I ask for it but that is being super picky and the only less-than-perfect comment I could possibly say cause this is great pizza!“

“My father was a culinary trained chef and Sicilian, so I am spoiled when it comes to Italian food. Leo’s surprised me! Their Pasta e Fagiolo and garlic bread with Kalamata olive spread could have been a whole meal by itself. You could taste how fresh the soup was. The orrechiette with broccoli rabe and sausage had real Italian sausage. My husband had Parmesan encrusted Chicken Martini and the chicken was moist and the lemon sauce was bright. “Pasquale's in Gardiner has been our go to pizza joint for years. Sadly, the manager who brought life to the place ( Chris) is no longer there. It has been awhile since he left, but the difference in the atmosphere is still palpable. The wait staff are wonderful, however, Chris used to make the rounds of the dining room , greeting customers, joking etc. After all this time, I'm still not sure who is in charge when the owner isn't present. ( an owner who has never acknowledged our existence btw). The music is played so loudly at times I can not hear what we are talking about. So the negative aside, the pizza is wonderful. Consistent, hot, crispy. The menu is varied with something for everyone. The garlic knots are large , really garlicky, soft and delicious. Service is fast as is the kitchen. No complaints there. I will say with the loud music and how cold they keep the dining room , we don't go as often, but I do recommend it.“
