“One of my favorite restaurants in all of Astoria! My husband and I always bring friends and family here when they visit the neighborhood. The staff is always so incredibly nice and generous (Miljan is usually our server and is so attentive and hilarious). We always have a wonderful time here, whether it’s a quiet weekday lunch or a packed Saturday night.“
“The vibes: immaculate. The food: delectable. The wines: mouthwatering. The cocktails: fiendishly good. The service: warm like family. Bellacosa is a treasure and a gem with full marks across the board. Go with a big group and taste all the tapas, get the cheese board, share bottle of excellent wine, and split as many of the taste desserts as you can. Go with a friend you need to catch up with and talk and talk while you eat a handful of tapas and sip wine by the glass (by the bottle or the glass, the wine selection is distinctly superb). Go on a date for a romantic evening of staring into each other’s eyes while gentle jazz or funky beats plays not too loud and not too soft. Every aspect of the menu, the cocktails, the wines, and the space itself is crafted with thoughtfulness and intentionality. These are people who want to provide an elite level of service and they DELIVER. Go at any point of the year for a lovely time!“
“I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. This was our second time here and it has quickly become one of our goto places in Astoria. From the greeting at the door to the selection of great wine and cocktails- all unique because the are craft brews- to the staff answering our many questions about the very different and delicious menu to the quality of the food- an awesome experience. Last week we were there and enjoyed live jazz and the musicians mingled and talked with us. The decor is very comfortable. Looking forward to attending the special event nights, too. See you next week- if not before!!“
“We loved it! The service was excellent. We arrived around 7:30pm and that's when it started to fill up, so I recommend making a reservation or arriving early. The food was DELICIOUS! We had:1. the tip - omg, what delicious meat!2. Meatballs - sooo good and tasty!3. A country for two men - so flavorful!! Amazing! The owner was really nice. My husband and he hadA short conversation and he was very friendly!Great service and ambiance. AMAZING food!“
“Stopped here for a quick bite. The mussels fra Diavlo were excellent. The sauce hit all the right notes, I finished every bit of it. Just perfect! The menu is rather small, but it was my understanding, that you can ask for different dishes, and they might be able to cook them for you.Great place, will come again if in the area.Parking: It's hard to find a parking in the area, but if you go a couple of blocks from Arthur Avenue, it gets better.“
“There is not much variety of food, the atmosphere is good but there is no place to give celebration surprises, I didn't like that. I went to celebrate my first year anniversary and I couldn't give the surprise because they didn't do that there. That's what I liked. I'm quite disappointed.“
“When I did a search for 'breweries' in Westchester County, this place popped up. They do brew their own beer but it's really more of a taproom/bar than a brewery. The Here Comes My Girl IPA was delicious and the Rose (on tap) was great too. They have a small menu of food options which looked very appealing. The staff was really friendly and welcoming. Right before we left, some live music got going and many of the people there were having some drinks before going to the Capitol Theatre for a show. I definitely want to come back here soon!“
“We LOVO Boro6! It is out Friday night spot (but make sure you grab a reservation!). The staff are super friendly and always attentive. The food is always great — and the bread — I would just eat the bread and be happy! We need more places like this around Westchester! I hope they expand soon.“
“EDIT: came here shortly after qriting the review- lights dim and music up- haha fantastic- thank you@An often overlooked spot, Haven offers good cuisine and cocktails. I think more people would come here if the lights weren't so bright and the music a little louder. It need to have a more lively feel.“
“Where do I begin?!!! I have been trying to get a reservation at Tentempie Madrid & finally received my call for a table... The Owner Carlos called to discuss his availabilities and mention that Tentempie Madrid is a traditional tapas with only small plates, NO MAIN COURSE and house wines and beer... Loved the call, perfect table for two at 7:30!My boyfriend and I were greeted by the Owners wife, and seated right away... She was just as lovely! What a great duo!! My boyfriend & I could be wrong BUT they seemed to be the only two running the magic over there... And they do it very very well!!!!! What a treat we were in for!!!FOOD: 5 STARS! We started off with drinks, we were unsure of which wine or beer to go with and Carlos's wife had no problems letting us taste them so we enjoyed what we ordered... LOVED THAT!!! There were so many choices... After we made our decision we put ourselves in the mindset to sit back relax & not RUSH.... Seems like (well i'll speak for myself as an American) we RUSH through everything... For food we did order the paella (made to order and takes about 55 minutes) again NO RUSHING, enjoy your wine, tapas in between, & your company.... Every dish we ordered, the flavors just took us right to Spain! We had the Jamon Iberico (order that!) the SHRIMP!!!! I'm still thinking about it, and every other dish!!!!!SERVICE: 5 STARS! Top notch!!! She didn't skip a beat with us or any other table for that matter! Very impressiveATMOSPHERE: 5 STARS! Small intimate piece of gold! Barrel high-tops and a few tables... The bathroom was spotless, that's a thing for me...After dinner service was complete, Carlos who is also the Chef checked in with every table with his lovey wife and offered us a traditional house after tapas drink (i can not remember the name, but it was so good!)Also, I did ask the Owner her name... It was a very beautiful name that I have a hard time pronouncing and unsure how to spell. (my apologies that I keep referring to her as "she")Thank you guys for such an unforgettable night.“
“One of my favorite places in NYC.Food, Service and Ambience are always amazing here.Live music from local artist Thursday to Sunday. The secret to the success of this establishment is the staff. They are hard working, attentive, and always make you feel welcomed, like family. Bartenders usually know what you are drinking when you come back the 3rd time and are always quick to serve, even when there is no space at the bar. In the kitchen is the matriarch, Mama Henry, the Owners mother. She makes every sauces, flan, beans, and many more items from scratch.Happy Hours are from open to 7:00PM on weekdays, their sangria, margaritas are strong and on point and come in many fresh fruit flavors. Some must haves on the tapas are the empanadas, mofonguitos, pulpo, tostones and chorizo, bacon wrapped dates, canastitas de bacalao, for mains the churrasco, paella and salmon are amazing.I used to bartend here for 6 years and I never once was tired of the food, this place is like family to me.Truly a neighborhood gem.“
“I had one of the greatest dining experiences at this restaurant a few weeks ago. Everything I expected from a great restaurant was available here. We were greeted at the door. Decided to sit at the bar. Bartender was very friendly and professional. The menu had a ton of options. We decided to go with the mussels and skirt steak. Just amazing. Mussels with fresh and steak was cooked exactly how we ordered. The bread was so delicious we ordered twice - slightly toasted and warm and soft on the inside, perfect for dipping with broth. Sangria is perfect and very refreshing. This is the type of place I will be returning to very soon!“
“Quick, attentive service and an extensive menu. So hard to choose which dishes to try first! Outdoor dining is well lit and looks cozy but actually fits many tables and configurations for parties of all sizes. Saw outdoor tables for two and tables for up to 10 while we were there. We’re lucky we went early and got a table immediately. Make a reservation though Bc they seem to fill up fast. Also, live music started around 7pm on a Saturday!“

“The ambiance of this place is beautiful romantic and spot on. It's a small restaurant with 7 tables and this awesome wine room (which I would love to sit in next time). The service was good and always with a smile and suggestions. The good was great everything had its own flavor and was enough for the 2 of us. Bonus was it was 1/2 price bottle of wine night... We will ba back“
“I recently ate here and the experience was nothing short of delightful. The warm ambiance and rustic decor created a welcoming atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive, providing excellent service throughout the meal. Now, let’s talk about the star of the show—the Spanish chicken. The menu boasted a variety of flavorful dishes, each showcasing the chef’s expertise in combining traditional Spanish flavors with a modern twist. The chicken was perfectly cooked, tender on the inside with a crispy, golden exterior that left my taste buds dancing. The appetizers were equally impressive, with options ranging from patatas bravas to chorizo croquettes. Each bite was a burst of Spanish authenticity. The chef’s commitment to using high-quality ingredients was evident, enhancing the overall dining experience. The drink menu featured a well-curated selection of Spanish wines and cocktails that complemented the meal superbly. The sangria, in particular, was a refreshing choice that added to the festive atmosphere of the restaurant. What truly stood out was the attention to detail in presentation. Each dish was a work of art on the plate, showcasing the chef’s dedication to not only taste but also aesthetics. As for the dessert, the churros were a delightful way to end the meal. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and accompanied by rich chocolate dipping sauce—a sweet ending to a savory journey. In summary, this Spanish chicken restaurant exceeded my expectations. From the inviting ambiance to the delectable dishes, every aspect of the dining experience was carefully crafted. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking an authentic taste of Spain with a modern flair. ¡Delicioso! Highly recommend“
“The best wine selection for all palates. The food is definitely delicious and more than enough for meals! Your staff waits in you hand and foot with a smile waiting to meet your every need ! Of course your host Anna Maria is the highlight !!!“
“The customer service is amazing! The crew is welcoming and so sweet. The space is warm and cute. The spicy margaritas are delicious. The tacos and bowls are mouthwatering. The chips, guac, salsa and kale salad are so fresh and delicious! I strongly recommend. This is now our go to spot!“
“This pan-Latin restaurant is a must if you are in the area. The menu had several interesting Tapas selections, which could serve as appetizers, sides, or even your main course. There were also traditional main course options, as well. We ordered a variety of fish tacos, calamari salad, brussel sprouts, and of course guacamole and chips to whet our appetites. Each were scrumptious. I had the braised beef as my main course which was moist, delicious, and just the right portion. We shared churros for dessert, which were light, crunchy, and simply divine. Service was very attentive with plenty of staff. Valet parking was a nice touch, particularly since parking can be a challenge in the area. Overall, a very fun and enjoyable dining experience.“
“This is an authentic Japanese restaurant with friendly service and a menu that makes you feel like you are at their home. The sushi is traditional that uses high quality fish that doesn't get masked by sauces and spices like other "modern" sushi joints. If you are looking for a family friendly great neighborhood Japanese restaurant with great quality food and service, this is the place. If you are looking for creative rolls with flashy names and secret sauces, then maybe it's not what you are looking for. I'm never disappointed by Yamaguchi.“
“Always get take out, but ate in with a few friends on a busy Saturday. The staff was friendly and gave great suggestions to my friends, and our food was delicious. I love the chips, but sometimes they can be a little too crispy/burnt…otherwise solid, good, not dietetic food!“
“Our Global Committee from the Long Island Board of Realtors had a Lunar Celebration of the Dragon last Mon. Feb 12. It was my very first time eating there. The food was sumptuous and delicious. The service was excellent too. It was a self-service styled setup and there were ample amounts of varied types of dishes, some spicy and some not. The chicken dishes were superb. There was an amazing string bean dish with various spices that was fantastic. I believe there was some fish dish, I am not sure of the exact name, but that too was great. Every dish was very tasty and I would reccomend everyone to go there and enjoy an excellent meal.“
“One of the best Ramen Bars I’ve ever been to. The flavors across the menu are unreal. The Spicy Miso Ramen w/ Pork Belly in particular was one of the best soup broths I’ve ever tasted. The service staff could not have been more friendly and courteous. The quaint setting and atmosphere lend themselves to almost feel like sitting at one big family style dinner table.“
“The place is cute and very cozy, but prices are high. Food is tasty but needs to get quicker to the table. Food is served in a gourmet like style but bigger portions. Coffee is served beautifully 5 stars for that little detail. Other than that, the place is good and pleasant to be in. Will not choose to go back for the simple reason of the high prices.“
“Lively spot with plenty of well spaced tables & booths. I really love the look of this spot...rich velvet curtain, low, cozy lights, great for a relaxing evening. The Brussel sprouts were unbelievably good as was the medditeran salad. Healthy choices done well! Service great, attentive and friendly.“
“Me and my best friend went here yesterday night, it was a vibe. The drinks were really good, we enjoyed our food, the DJ had good taste in music, especially the old jams. Our waitress desiree was running off a lot and took some time with our drinks, but she was very nice and patient with us. I'd definitely come here again.“
“Food 4/5 - shoutout to the mofongo Service 3/5 Ambiance 3/5: given the pricing I was expecting a nicer set up. It was large inside with plenty of seating (not always the case in nyc) but the music was super loud Prices: $$The mofongo de camarones is fire and freshly made but we got costillas de chivo (goat ribs) that were well seasoned but cold on arrival. We also got maduros (sweet plantains) which were freshly made and super hot. They weren't on the menu but we asked for them anyway. It was nice of them to make for us. The served asked a lot of questions, upsold me on having pork with my mofongo de camerones (asked if I wanted pork and I said I will take it however it comes - turns out it cost more). She forgot one of the drinks i ordered until I asked. Another waitress covered for her and was friendly. You have to order in Spanish which wasn't a problem for us. Service was fairly slow during a not busy time.I did notice this places has hundreds of reviews on Google maps and very few on Yelp which is why I'm leaving one here. It's definitely legit Dominican but not everything is made or heated to order (ex. The goat ribs were premade). Slightly pricy for the neighborhood, and the bill came with a mandatory tip (propina written on the bill) for 2 people.“
“Awesome food, service and decor! My family ordered Margaritas, Carne Asadas and Biriyanis. All excellent! Thank you for the fresh flavors and gluten free-Celiac friendly options in White Plains. We look forward to returning in the future. We recommend this restaurant highly!“
“The food and service is top-notch! Very nice décor, comfortable setting. Food was great, huge selection of tapas well-priced and the chicken scarpiello entrée was of legend. The bartender Nicole was amazing, very knowledgeable and she makes great drinks, a true master of her trade. I cant say enough good things about NOMA Social, go check this place out!“
