“Ordered the spicy salmon ramen and takoyaki. The ramen was really good with a rich broth but it wasn't spicy at all and started to taste a bit salty at the end. I wouldn't recommend the takoyaki because the portions are very small with a single piece of octopus in it for 10 dollars. Otherwise a great experience! + the servers were super nice“
“A warm local Georgian place which is owned by a super friendly and easy going owner with a simple but cute decor. The service is also great with the owner happy to recommend the dishes.I wanted to tick off the traditional Georgian dish, Adjaruli Khachapuri. It's basically a bread boat filled with cheese and raw egg yolk. It's a baked dish and is best eaten when hot. One needs to mix the raw egg yolk properly within the cheese and then devour it. The bread was easy to break with crisp sides while the cheese was really creamy and smooth. It basically felt like a better version of NYC cheese pizza minus the marinara, and I would happily choose this one over pizza! The dish is simple, filling and soul satisfying which made me love it. The prices too are pretty decent compared to the neighborhood they are located in.Overall an amazing experience with Georgian food, would definitely come back to try their Khinkali (dumplings) next time!“

You have to order a Khatchapuri! It's a must! We had Aragvi salad- absolutely delicious! The kids chose crepes with meat and kginkali, both finished to the last crumb! We had egplant rolls , pirk mtsvadi and potatoes with mushrooms to share, everything was so good! We all were full and very satisfied. “A perfect dining experience from start to finish. Welcoming staff and expert service made this an unexpected treat. My husband and I started by sharing the special salad chock full of blueberries, blackberries, pomegranate and hazelnuts. For our entrees, he opted for the well prepared black bass special, I enjoyed the pappardelle with sausage ragu. We shared the fresh fruit pastry shell with gelato - a beautiful creation and the perfect way to end our meal. Such a lovely find - can't wait to return.“

“An Excellent Turkish Restaurant in NYC !!!I was in New York City for a business trip last week and by searching for a Turkish place in Midtown I came across Akdeniz. I was met with true Turkish hospitality, everyone was very nice. I had the Iskender Kebab which tasted as if I was in Istanbul. It was very fresh and tasty. The babaghannous was nicely made you could taste the fresh roasted eggplant, as good as the best in Turkey. It was such a great experience that two days later I went back for lunch and had the Adana Kebab which was one of the best Ive had in the States. I highly recommend Akdeniz!!!“

Initially I was told I could only order food to go because someone was having a private party and they were prepping but then the man behind the counter walked me through the menu. He then suggested I have a seat and could eat in if I wanted. I chose to dine in and the food was fabulous. I got the bacon egg and cheese biscuit. They did not have the cheddar jalapeño biscuit I asked for but they added extra cheese to my sandwich to compensate. The biscuit was crunchy in the outside and soft on the inside. I'll definitely be coming back to try the chicken biscuit and all the different compound butters.“

The Roast Carrot and Avocado Salad is my absolute favorite, although I haven’t had a dish I didn’t like here.This time, my friend and I shared:- Roast Carrot and Avocado Salad ($25+)- Black Truffle Pizza ($30+)I’m not a fan of truffle, but the Black Truffle Pizza with fontina cheese and farm egg was so good.My only disappointment was the Organic Young Thai Coconut Water ($10+), which came in a glass, not coconut. “Loved this little spot. I was looking for a Brazilian restaurant and this checked all the boxes. 1. Pão de Queijo - yummy cheesy goodness. Pastéis (Brazilian empanadas) perfect! Feijoada do Chef for Two - feeds more than two - loved it so much. 2. Chicken Stroganoff - I was not expecting it but this was creamy and tasty and out of this world. I wanted to lick the plate. 3. Ropa Vieja - my daughter (a connoisseur of ropa vieja) said it's better than her grandmother's. 4. Picanha Grelhada no Alho - cooked perfectly. Lastly, I was surprised at the price after all the food and cocktails. Great value. Definitely worth going to Hell's Kitchen for this spot. Service was great. Everyone was attentive. “Walked in thinking it's an Irish bar, walked out having one of the best times ever at any bar. This is a gay bar on steroids but that's what makes it oh so better. “First off, this is probably the best Italian restaurant in NYC. For me, the mark of a good Italian restaurant is their cheese and tomatoes. So when the complimentary, and perfectly cooked, bread came to the table I asked for a side of cheese. I tasted it plain and could tell immediately that it was DOP. (Those who know what that means, understand my meaning.)I then proceeded to have the carbonara. Many restaurants (even those who claim they are Italian) in the US make this dish with cream…and that’s totally wrong. The magic of this dish is the perfect amount of pasta water and cheese that is added to the pasta and then vigorously mixed until it becomes creamy. And the egg must be tempered, or else you end up with scrambled eggs. And guess what…this restaurant knows how to do it perfectly.For dessert I had their bread pudding…another classic Italian dessert that if done correctly, is delicious and if done incorrectly is just a pile of blah. The chef here, once again, outdid himself. It was so buttery and the ratio of raisins to bread was perfect. Plus the hint of Sambuca just put this over the top.I can confidently say that I will be back, and can’t wait to order one of everything over the course of my upcoming many visits. With my half salad and half rice(white or brown), and loads of toppings. They have cilantro topping, seaweed, and many more. The lobster meat and the imitation crab salad toppings are my favs. The sauces were good i love the aioli. The chewy marshmallow bars are also great.“
