Would have again. The $30 prix fixe dinner offers appetizer (we had the crab cake and the goat cheese and quinoa salad), main course and dessert (all excellent). Student/servers did a great job. Hats off to the chefs. Will return. Make sure to get a reservation.”

“Late Night Stop After a Long Drive – Still Great Food\n\nWe drove six hours from Ottawa for a Buffalo Bills game and by the time we arrived in Buffalo it was around 9:30 p.m. We decided to eat at Olive Garden, as I remembered it fondly from when there used to be one in Ottawa.\n\nEven though the restaurant was closing soon, the staff were kind enough to let us in, which we really appreciated. We ordered dinner and enjoyed fresh breadsticks right away. The salad was a bit disappointing—it came in a bowl that was only about a quarter full, and they had run out of cheese. But once our entrées arrived, everything was back to the Olive Garden quality I remembered. My son had the Tortellini Chicken Pasta and I had the Chicken Alfredo, and both were delicious.\n\nI paired my meal with a Blue Moon Belgian beer, which was a nice touch. The bill came to $77 for the two of us with tip, which felt a bit pricey, but that’s the reality of today’s inflation.\n\nOverall, the experience was positive—good food, friendly staff, and they didn’t turn us away even though it was late. That made our long drive end on a high note.”

“I have zero complaints about this place. The service was impeccable. Extremely attentive, consistent coming to the table to clear plates, get refills on drinks, give us new silverware each course. It was so nice to go out to eat and finally get amazing service!!! The food was very very good. We got the shrimp cocktail, wedge salad, crabcakes the ribeye, lobster Mac, asparagus and mashed potatoes. Everything tasted delicious. I normally don’t write too many reviews but I truly felt that the employees at this restaurant made the whole experience and deserved to be recognized. We had a young Asian gentleman (I don’t remember his name apologies for the description ) along side Cathy. Great team. Even the host was fantastic (also did not get his name but we came on a Saturday) - we were early for our reservation and he was able to seat us.”

“The 4 stars is with respect to a comparison with fast food restaurants. The best part of the experience was the team leader on duty at the time I visited on 01/30/25 late afternoon. He created a rather gregarious atmosphere with clever and humorous comments to his staff about their performance and I was served the best-tasting sandwiches that I have had at a Burger King in quite a while. Already stopped going to Tim Hortons in this plaza cause of this, and I’m not the only one that gets frustrated over this.

Normally I would be upset about the wait but the staff esp the older woman at the front register was very apologetic and kind. It's a tough location too, 1 man asleep at his table. 1man selling drugs and a crackhead lady screaming...the staff were fantastic, handled everything quietly and tactfully, was really impressed with them. I was at the Thorold location this morning and it was a horrible experience!”

One of few clean places to eat. The staff were very friendly. They closed at 9pm, we stop to eat dinner at 8:55pm. They told us not to worry about the time it closed and to seat and enjoy our dinner. Will definitely be back next time I'm in town.”

“My wife and I happened to visit Niagara Falls in our way home from upstate NY. It was a beautiful day. After sight seeing we looked up Restaurants on Google maps. Jon Fre's restaurant had pretty good ratings so we thought we'd try it.

From the outside it was unassuming. We entered and we were quickly greeted by the bartender. We found a table and was quickly greeted by the waitress. She was very friendly. I ordered the Philly Cheese steak sandwich. While I was waiting for the food the owner introduced himself. He was great and made us feel at home.
Within minutes we got the food. The sandwich was hot and stuffed with steak and cheese while the bread was soft and was yummy. Everything was hot and delicious.

It is definitely a place I recommend visiting.”

It was great on Pierce Avenue, when it was both locations, and it's still going strong solely on The Blvd. I have RARELY encountered a restaurant that is consistent EVERY SINGLE TIME. You crave what you got the last three times? It will be JUST AS GOOD the fourth time you order it. Consistency is so important when running a business; It shouldn't depend on who is working that day, what mood the cook is in, etc... This is how you do it. Serve amazing food, exactly as ordered, every time. I have never been disappointed by Mr. Ventrys, and I had to write a positive review. Thank you!”

The decor was plain(who Cares) and the clientele consisted of mostly workers on lunch break. The waitress took our order and then brought us a cup of soup and a slice of garlic toast..very delicious. We both ordered the Pastrami sandwich which came with either a salad or French fries. The waitress brought out our sandwiches and to say I was surprised would be an understatement. The sandwich was huge with a hefty helping of fries. It was served with a cup of Russian dressing for dipping. I came away from here with a full stomach and a new go to restaurant for future lunches and dinner. Here comes the best part though… this was all for the ridiculous low price of $10.00 per meal. Amazing…..”
