“The food was delicious, although $4 for one halved devilled egg is a bit much, 2 halves per order. Short rib hash was incredible and full of flavor. Classic breakfast was also very good. Coffee was not the best and refills were not plentiful, we had to ask each time and only received two cups each (over an hour) for both tea and coffee. Would definitely go back to try something else. Layout was nice and music wasn't too loud upstairs, although downstairs was louder.“
“A southern brunch that was so good. 4 of us went to celebrate a birthday and we all enjoyed it immensely. I had the Dad and it was absolutely delicious. We loved the fried green tomatoes, and the tater tots. I had a bourbon bacon bloody Mary that was out of this world. I can't wait to go back!Parking: Street parking was available and they have a lot behind the building.“
“Mouth-watering and thoughtful menu with creative, nuanced and seasonal inspirations for both food and beverage options. I was very impressed by the shishito peppers, general tso’s chicken bites, french dip and the espresso martini. The apps were perfectly battered, crispy and flavorful. The French dip just hit so right- tender meat, savory au jus, warm, perfectly toasted bread. The fries were perfect- exactly what you’d imagine if you are craving fries! And the highlight of our entire night was our bartender Halsey. Her genuine care in curating our experience cannot be matched. She made great suggestions, interjected with playful humor, read when our group wanted time to chat amongst ourselves, and made a PHENOMENAL cocktail. I mean, the most serious espresso martini anyone could hope for without the overstated hipster flair. 10/10. Would go back just for her. Watching her interact with her other bar guests was also a treat- it’s easy to see how she can command the room & keeps a mighty fine bar! Will certainly be back!“
“Our choice for Schenectady Restaurant Week was Turf Tavern in Scotia, we have never been....it was delicious! I ordered off the restaurant week menu, Spinach Artichoke Dip, Prime Rib, Creme Brulee (this also came with a salad). Hubby had a Wedge Salad and the Sweet Cherry Pepper Pulled Pork. Everything was cooked perfectly and had excellent flavor, although I did need a little salt...Service was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back!“
“The 1st time there we sat in the dining area and someone's child was smacking 2 blocks so loudly together people could barely hear each other talk, I felt bad for all the older patrons, as the parents sat and did nothing. Dad finally stopped the chaos after almost everyone in the room was staring their way. The second time we decided to sit by the bar instead and a patron was making disparaging comments to his buddy about LGBTQ at the end of the bar. He couldn't even get the letters in a correct order... it was very uncomfortable, he left before I had to ask to move my seat..“
“At a time when restaurants are scaling back on ingredients, portions and quality while charging more for meals, The Ritz On Union does just the opposite. I enjoyed a tasty ragu dish over papperdelle pasta. The portion was sizable and the pricing was fair.“
“My friend and I were grateful that the table requested (booth) was provided. We both had the grilled cheese (we both asked and received the alteration of Swiss cheese only) and the tomato bisque soup. Delicious! Server was appropriately attentive and efficient, and professional.“
“We love it here!! The atmosphere is upbeat, but not noisy. The service is wonderful and the extras are appreciated. They always share a smile and the menu is innovative and changes periodically. This area NEEDS good restaurants that don't serve pizza!!! This is good one. And the bar is wonderful.“
“This place was fantastic! Had my birthday dinner there tonight and the waitress Julie was amazing!!!!! Can’t wait to come back again!!!!! Thank you so much for making my dining experience a good one I appreciate it! You’re the best!Jess aka Helen“
“This place has great atmosphere, drinks, and service. What more can you expect from a distillery/cocktail bar? It’s nice to have a cocktail focused place, with bartenders that know how to make them. They can also make mocktails and have wine and beer available. You can also tell them what kinds of things you like, and they will make you something good.“
“Decor and ambiance were great. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was cooked to perfection and flavorful. We had sparkling water and wine with our meal. Finished our dinner with dessert and coffee. Definitely will be a restaurant we’ll revisit in the future.“
“The food was very good, but this is my second time going there and each time they've messed up my bill and overcharged me. I caught it the first time, and missed it the second time. I didn't get an itemized receipt to verify the charges were correct. I don't think I'd go back because of that reason.“
“It was my first time at the Bourbon, I had the best experience ever thanks to Lucy and Jim They treated so good and welcomed me so well. I will definitely come back and bring my friends with me for a wonderful hangout. Lucy is the best bartender. If you go there ask for Lucy for sure to.mix your drinks.“
“Publicly known for their wings and I can absolutely say they do not disappoint at all! Pictured are the boneless Squatch wings, bursting with flavor that leaves your mouth watering time and time again. Great staff, love the dive bar feel.“
“Amazing spot!!Came here on a Friday night and no issues getting a table. The service is great! Welcoming and helpful!I had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich! It was huge!!! Juicy and full of flavor.Came with tasty fries too.Wife had the cheeseburger and that was also delicious and juicy! We shared the baked Mac and cheese dish! And took some home! (Couldn’t finish it all)It was delicious!! Can’t say enough! The drinks were great too! The train deck and also the margarita!Overall great experience!! Will definitely come back!“
“I ordered garlic, Parmesan wings from Dutch's Place for lunch today. The wings were even more tender than any other place I have tasted them. And the garlic and Parmesan permeated the wings as well. The only thing missing was the blue cheese sauce. I called Dutch's and they said that I didn't have it listed on my order. I then checked my phone, saw that it was indeed on my order and called GrubHub to confirm it, indeed it was on the order they had. It would've been an extra boost to the wings, which needed no additional support, but would've kicked things up a lot . GrubHub gave me $3.24 off of the bill because of this which was pretty nice. Minus that though, everything was pretty good.“
“Went there for the first time last night and currently on my way there again as I’m writing this review. Loved the atmosphere, people and staff.Food was delicious and the draft beer was nice and refreshing. This is our new go to spot from now on!“
“I absolutely love coming here. The food is always so fresh and delicious. The staff is very helpful, kind and patient. They have great suggestions too if you’re not sure what to order. They have a plethora of vegan and vegetarian options too.“
“Last Saturday night was so much fun! We came in for a comedy show, and decided to come a little early for apps and drinks. Our waitress was super nice and talked us into sharing a sandwich with our apps. The French onion soup was delish just like everyone told us it was. The portions are huge! I watched what people were ordering around us and I couldn't believe the portion size“
“A friend of mine, who loves Ravenswood suggested we go there and I'm glad he did.The service was especially attentive, even during the busy lunch hour. My salmon burger was very tasty. Usually I am content with less expensive lunch options (soup and salad) however, Ravenswood was a nice change and worth it.“
“My first time at this location on st. Patrick's day. I did a pub crawl, this was one of the six bars on our list. Best one by far. Great drinks, great atmosphere. Met the owners who were very much down to earth. Music was on point. They catered to many different genres. I will definitely be visiting again.“
“Tanpopo in Schenectady is just as good food wise as its Albany counterpart. The ambience feels less cozy and colder than the Albany location. The trendy black walls and industrial decor are ok, but nothing beats the feel of the old Albany building. In Schenectady you will always typically be able to be seated and not have a long wait. It's a great place for lunch as well. Service is always wonderful there too.“
“All together, everything turned out to be pretty mediocre.Tried to order online but the preferred service wouldn't allow me to check out, something to do with the menu prices being incorrect. So I called in the order, which at first they stated they don't do, but after my explanation their online system was borked they relented and took it.Went with the onion rings and the waffles and chicken, and came to around $31 before tip. Had put in my pickup for 4:00PM but when I arrived at 4:05PM the order still wasn't ready. In fact I ended up sitting at the bar area until 4:20PM, a rather significant delay for the order I placed at noon time.Got home and dug in, immediately being disappointed in the onion rings for their size. They're the shoestring variety, which is great for on sandwiches and salads, but as an appetizer or finger food they are kind of annoying to consume. The rings are just far too small to properly enjoy. That said, the dip that came with them paired perfectly. Then there was the chicken of the chicken and waffles which was beyond salty, I think the chef might have accidentally poured a tad to much salt into the buttermilk breading. Could almost feel my blood pressure going up. The waffles were alright though, the spicy honey butter they were topped with had soaked into the waffles and made them soft and sweet. Though not spicy at all.Overall it was an alright way to end the week, probably could have been better, but I'm satisfied.“
“Good place to hang great bar tenders! There's one dude that hangs out there around lunch time that is very negative and thinks he owns the bar. He will not allow you to play certain music I'll just have to go when he's not there“
“We were out on a road trip and decided to crash the local pub after dinner for cocktails and karaoke. Reget going to dinner beforehand. The food coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled great. Drinks were good and reasonable priced. The locals took us in and we had a great time. 5 stars for Songbird Karaoke.“
“Neat place with terrific atmosphere, soft live solo music. Valentine's special included a bottle of wine with dinner for two for $100.00. Great prime rib and crab dip. Only suggestion is serve the mashed potatoes hot. They were warm.Friendly waitress, Tara and staff backing up. Pretty bar with red lighting and decorations for the occasion.“
“My favorite place in the 518 for Pizza. The wait is worth it! Thin, crispy and fresh tasty ingredients. Closest to NYC style you can find upstate. Best to call in the morning for a pick up time. Only open 4 days a week. 7.9 from El Presidente. Good stuff!“
“I go here often. They've made this a pretty cool concept. I have the $9.99/month plan, unlimited movies plus free popcorn and 10% off food/drink. A regular ticket is $11 so even if you go once a month it's well worth it. They show the same first-run movies available anywhere. The food is passable, but you order it on your phone from your seat and they serve you. The only thing I don't like is the 20% tip they automatically add to your tab. I would normally tip around 20% anyway if the service is decent, but it should be my choice. The staff is young and somewhat inexperienced, but they're trying, and they're very nice and helpful. I definitely recommend this theater and its monthly pass.“
“Voted best dive bar in Albany. They are proud of that title and their Irish heritage! Light atmosphere. Everyone seems happy. No drama. We had some cold beers and a basket of cooked to perfection fried foods which included mozz sticks, onion rings, fries, and chicken tenders. Enough to share with many. Great jukebox too. A good time was had by all in this little neighborhood bar. Cheers!“
“I was surprised at how expensive it was. It is a very nice place. The food was excellent and service good. And the ambiance is unique and interesting. However, the prices were unreasonable high, for my taste. For example, one of us had a hamburger - $18 and a draft beer $9.“
“great live music, which is not that loud compared to other places where you can't here the person you're talking to already. the staff was nice and the bar looks very clean and organized! If you want to have a drink and feel relaxed, Jay St Pub is a great place“
“Heritage bar and fly and shaker road. Nice bar they have popcorn and nuts. They don't serve food, but if you want something to eat. There's a Stewart's right next store. It's a very nice atmosphere. Have a lot on tap Blue Moon course to name a few.Love you check it out, we did.“
“Around here, this is as close as it gets to the authentic stuff without being invited. That said, everything was flavorful, delicious and full of heat where requested. I had to try the Burrito Loco because it sounded too insane to work as a dish, but it was surprisingly good!“
