“We stumbled across this place while waiting for our ferry during a New England road trip. Upon seeing prices that looked like they were from a bygone era (it's not just the lobster), we had quite a few items from their eclectic menu. Everything was made to order and our food was delivered much more quickly than the average fast-food joint by a server who treated us like old friends. The atmosphere is unpretentious and super chill - perfect for sports fans looking to hang out alone or with friends. It's a must-visit place if you're passing through the area for any reason.“

They couldnt be nicer about it!!!.. I dont mind a tad under medium rare, but raw doesn't cut it for me ..It was good..You could tell they make it, in house.. It was a nice meat blendI got the pretzel roll as a choice of that, brioche, and sesame...meh..I'm starting to really dislike rolls..It added nothing to the burger. Maybe if they toasted it?Brie cheese is a new one for me..It was okay, and I liked it..I order the Garlic fries, as fries do not come with the burger...$6.50 for a very large order of fries.In the end, it was a good burger..$15Not in the Top Tier, by any stretch of the imagination, but a completely respectful burger.. The portions are Only smaller because of having to order salad on the side; if you don’t put it down the portions are indeed smaller, I was also given enough sauce for two familys! “There are a lot of great things about this place. For starters, the owner, Jackie, usually welcomes you at the door. On quiet evenings, she'll even ask you where you'd like to sit. If you've been there a couple of times, she may even remember which wine you ordered last visit. You can casually sit at the bar or on the leather couches and graze on cheese or meat boards while sipping on one of the many wonderful wine options served here. Jackie travels aboard to define and complement the restaurant's vast collection. If you're having dinner, the burrata appetizer and the tuna dinner are both amazing. “My fiancee and I have been going to Northern Coast since shortly after it opened, and it never disappoints. This place is the definition of a "hidden gem", being in the lobby at the Hilton Garden Inn on the Stony Brook campus (you don't need to be a student to go, but students get a discount IIRC). Although it's right adjacent to the lobby with little separation, it's much more than your standard hotel eatery with lots of great New American dishes and a warm, comfortable, unique atmosphere.I've tried several dinner items, and all have been great so far, with reasonable prices, sizeable portions, good variety of styles, all fresh-tasting and "made to order". But, if there's one thing I always go back to, it's the roasted chicken. The skin is so crispy and it has a buttery au-jus that's just divine. It comes with some sauteed string beans that are sweet and flavorful as well. I'd also like to mention the pork chops, brussels sprouts, and the peach melba dessert as well.The service never disappoints, and at least when we went, the vibe of the place is calm and quiet (even with being next to the hotel's front desk). I dig the melodic chill/deep house from the hotel lobby, and I also love the style of the place, it's got a clean, colorful look that feels very "90s tropical". Screens are around that rotate through pictures of the food items. We usually eat there pretty late (it's refreshing finding a place that will stay open till 10PM), so I could imagine this place gets a lot busier and noisier at other times (like around college orientation/graduation, or brunch).I love this place and think it's a great addition to the area. “A typical pub atmosphere. We got a nice corner spot by the window for my dad’s retirement dinner. The sausage soup and filet mignon looked delicious! I had the mozzarella chicken and I brought home plenty of leftovers. You of course need to have the pub cheese and toast. So I have it a 4. 1 burger (add guac) 1 dbl burger 1 large fries to share 2 lemonade 2 shakes $55 Restaurant had only 1 customer waiting and 1 couple sitting - our food was delivered to the table in just under 20 min. (Seemed long to be sitting on metal chairs at a metal table). No utensils or extra napkins anywhere in sight - had to be requested after waiting back in line. And this burger is too big for the bun, which was made gooey/soft/ piled high from condiments and toppings. Won't be back.“

I am an introvert, and this makes it easier for me to order.I introduced my sister to it, and she loved the Cajun fries and the option to add hot sauce and jalapeños to her burger. “I try to shy away from fast food but this Checkers has the NICEST employees. I’ve been through the drive through a handful of times since they reopened and every trip has been a positive one.
