Burger Restaurants near Stony Brook

“My fiancee and I have been going to Northern Coast since shortly after it opened, and it never disappoints. This place is the definition of a "hidden gem", being in the lobby at the Hilton Garden Inn on the Stony Brook campus (you don't need to be a student to go, but students get a discount IIRC). Although it's right adjacent to the lobby with little separation, it's much more than your standard hotel eatery with lots of great New American dishes and a warm, comfortable, unique atmosphere.I've tried several dinner items, and all have been great so far, with reasonable prices, sizeable portions, good variety of styles, all fresh-tasting and "made to order". But, if there's one thing I always go back to, it's the roasted chicken. The skin is so crispy and it has a buttery au-jus that's just divine. It comes with some sauteed string beans that are sweet and flavorful as well. I'd also like to mention the pork chops, brussels sprouts, and the peach melba dessert as well.The service never disappoints, and at least when we went, the vibe of the place is calm and quiet (even with being next to the hotel's front desk). I dig the melodic chill/deep house from the hotel lobby, and I also love the style of the place, it's got a clean, colorful look that feels very "90s tropical". Screens are around that rotate through pictures of the food items. We usually eat there pretty late (it's refreshing finding a place that will stay open till 10PM), so I could imagine this place gets a lot busier and noisier at other times (like around college orientation/graduation, or brunch).I love this place and think it's a great addition to the area. Definitely give it a chance if you're in town!“

“Here's the deal...a piece of me has never been the same since McD's dropped the snack wrap! BK was advertising the crispy snack wraps and it really intrigued me.I was coming home late at night and was craving! Seen the sign advertising crispy wraps and it triggered to pull in! I ordered the fire wraps and TBH they weren't that hot which is fine but they were crispy! Wasn't the same as MCD's but good enough.Fast forward a few weeks later...go back got the same order and the wraps were anything and everything but crispy! Very disappointing but I still ate itPLACE WAS CLEAN! People working there were nice! As soon as someone else got up someone was out there cleaning up their table. It was also past the time the dining room was closed so maybe that would be the case.I shouldn't be eating this stuff in the first place if the wraps were consistently crispy it would be a problem. Since it's inconsistent, I won't be back.“

“Burgerology has friendly servers and a relaxed atmosphere. The buttermilk chicken sandwich and ahi tuna burger were both fresh and filling. The side of regular poutine was tasty but the short rib poutine was very short on pieces of meat. The chocolate shake was delicious.“

“Parking: Very large lot. There is plenty of parking and wheelchair access as well.Kid-friendliness: This store has a play place for children.Wheelchair accessibility: There are four parking spots for wheelchair accessibility and a very slight ramp to the sidewalk.“

“We had my sister’s baby shower here over the weekend & we’re thrilled with how everything came out. The party room is very spacious and comfortable. The food was delicious and the service was amazing! The staff was super attentive and accommodating. Highly recommend considering Nosh for your next party event!!“

“AMAZING food! I dont know what even else to say. I was in AWE, my entire party of 40 was in AWE. I am so happy I came back to get food from them, for an even bigger event. They are efficient, know what they’re doing, know how to cater, AND KNOW HOW TO COOK! Caden was amazing on the delivery. (I may have spelt that wrong) Anywho, he was early, quick, efficient, and polite!! This place is a 5 star, don’t judge by the drive by view-because i know many of you do! 10/10 recommend, they knew what I needed for how many people, and gave me great suggestions on being inclusive for my vegan friends!Thank you for catering to my party making my party great! “Food and drinks were great. Our waiter came to our table as soon as we were seated and checked in throughout our meal to see if we needed anything. The pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries was really good.Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant and restroom are both accessible.“

“We stumbled across this place while waiting for our ferry during a New England road trip. Upon seeing prices that looked like they were from a bygone era (it's not just the lobster), we had quite a few items from their eclectic menu. Everything was made to order and our food was delivered much more quickly than the average fast-food joint by a server who treated us like old friends. The atmosphere is unpretentious and super chill - perfect for sports fans looking to hang out alone or with friends. It's a must-visit place if you're passing through the area for any reason.“
