“Cute lil spot in Long Island City that opened approx. a year ago serving up authentic Japanese fare. Great for impromptu lunch or to catch up with friends. They do open for dinner and drinks but I haven’t been yet.

I came for lunch with two of my friends. We tried the Omurice, Vegan Ramen and Matcha Soufflé Pancake. I omitted the bacon from my rice. The rice was a bit dry or overcooked and the egg wasn’t as eggy/runny as expected. We shared the matcha pancake, it was delicious enough to disappear in under 5 minutes. Our drinks were delicious as well. Mine was a bit too sweet for my taste so I watered it down.

“Another amazing dinner from Katsuno. Our favorite authentic Japanese restaurant in NYC came through for us once again, this time with take-out. Tonight we had the Tuna Avocado Salad, Nigiri Sushi, Pork Hirekatsu, and Tempura Udon. All served with a refreshing can of Funaguchi Kikusui Sake. Everything was fresh and delicious as always and served curbside in a safe no contact manner. Thank you Katsuno!“

“My plus one and I really enjoyed our time here. We had just gotten home from vacation and were in a mood for Ramen and this place did not disappoint.
Let me just say that this place has such a traditional Japanese vibe to it…the staff is warm and welcoming and the food was spectacular.
We had the ramen, both original and spicy and it was very delicious. We also had two Asahi beers and called it a day.
Overall, I will come back to this place more often.“

“So delicious! Great attention to detail - I order takeout from here sometimes and they never forget anything.

However, I would order way more if the uber eats menu was fixed. It has an issue where certain menu items don’t show available options. The roll combo B for example lets you pick three sushi rolls, but there’s no option to actually pick the rolls. Just to pick salad or soup. The same problem for the soft drink (mentions coke, sprite, ginger ale, but you can’t pick which one)

Can this be fixed? You may be losing business because of this.

We started with oyster and ikura, followed by king salmon and kampachi amuse bouches, tuna tataki, squid with crab + tobiko, hamachi with shishito, toro with caviar, sweet shrimp with lime zest, sea bream, and king salmon with seaweed. Other highlights included stripe jack, golden snapper, scallop with ikura and shiso, and a beautiful bite of wagyu, tamago, uni, monkfish liver.

My absolute favorites were the Hokkaido Uni, squid with crab, and that wagyu, tamago, uni, monkfish liver combination—it was mind-blowingly good! We ended meal with ube mochi and yuzu cheesecake. Every dish was thoughtfully crafted—highly recommend for an elevated omakase!“

“Possibly the greatest omakase experience I’ve had within the US. The ambience is incredible, with a secretive feel and almost cave-like decor. The playlist is excellent with a great homemade sound system. Chef Mark is not only an incredible chef, but a great host too. We chatted about music and about life stories, while my family ate the most fresh and delectable fish ever. 11/10 great experience.“

“Took my wife to Sushi On Me for her 50th birthday! We had a group of 8 which was perfect. Each of the 15 courses was beautifully crafted and served with an explanation of what it was before eating it. The sake flows like water and so do the curses as it is cheered to “Enjoy your F-ing dinner!” And we did! Will be back!“

“A tasty, cute, local spot that offers omakase as well as your traditional sushi/Japanese menu options with options for drinks too. Our favorite dishes to get are their Chilean Sea Bass with mushroom , truffle risotto and veggies, Masaaki Roll, and Eel Kamameshi Rice. Their sashimi dishes are also quite tasty and the omakase is affordable at just under $100.

The only drawback is that the omakase is in the back where they have bigger tables and separate rooms for a more private setting, which in my opinion takes away from the intimacy that is meant to be the purpose of omakase. But I would still recommend this place to eat at for any occasion, from a date night or dinner with family.“

“I've been here several times for dinner with my preschool-aged son and just went today for lunch. It's been a treat each time. I try a different side dish from their rotating menu on each visit, and I haven't been disappointed yet. Everything on their menu has been just the right savory, harmonious amount of flavor without being overly salty or overdone in any way. My son and I also love the fresh tofu. The staff has been very courteous, and everything is reasonably priced. I hope they stay around in LIC because there aren't very many restaurants like this that make things so comfortable in every way. I seldom dine out but I'd eat here anyday.“

Don’t sleep on the Korean fried wings - the texture was crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. We were hoping for the spicy wings but got original instead I think - either way they were quality and delivery was fast.“

“Just moved to Ridgewood, decided to pick up food down the street at Yso Sushi for my girlfriend and I. The order process was easy and we got 3 rolls (Dragon/Spicy Tuna/Yellow Tail), Gyoza and a Seaweed Salad all for a very reasonable price! The food was so good, it exceeded our expectation for pick up sushi and the portions were generous. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend if you are in the Ridgewood area.“

“First time trying Kumo and I’m glad I did because I will be ordering my sushi from here from now on. I’m not gonna lie the reviews did deter me from ordering in the past. I saw good reviews on Grubhub and quite a few ppl mentioned it on Astoria reddit. I figured let me order a 3 roll lunch combo and see for myself. I was really impressed. The sushi was amazing and fresh! Good size rolls too. When I would order from Sakura they would be bite size. I do like Watawa too but I can’t justify paying $10 for a simple roll. This how I settled on Kumo. I def recommend Kumo for a good sushi fix.“
