The Momo mocktail ($12) was sweet and refreshing. As for food, I went for the Tonchin Classic Tokyo Tonkotsu ($21). It was delicious, with a rich and savory broth and perfectly jammy egg. However, I have had better value elsewhere with more toppings, meat, etc.“
“My family and I were on our way to another restaurant when the smell of the broth lured us in to Raku instead. I had the kitsune udon. The noodles were cooked to perfection, not too soft with the right amount of chew. I got a side of maitake tempura as well, the batter was crunchy and the mushrooms juicy and tender, like a chicken thigh but with that distinct nuttiness. And of course the broth that lured us in was as delicious as it smelled. I'm not a New York resident but I wish I was so I could come back regularly!“

What I really enjoyed about Sushi Yolo compared to other omakase spots in this price range is how it’s nicely paced with your entire meal spanning 1.5 hours (other spots are usually churning out guests within 1 hour).As I said before, all the dishes were so well thought out and the pieces that were presented were so beautiful. We brought our kids that can’t finish an entire omakase. We thought we could get a la carte for them but they won’t let you order just a la carte despite the two adults ordering a la carte. Only take away was they charged $3 extra every-time you request for extra lettuce shells which most other kbbq spots is given for free. The ambiance was excellent and very clean.“

ROASTED CAULIFLOWER: cauliflower never tasted this good, and you can eat the green pea miso spread on its own, that is how good it is. SCALLOP RISOTTO: omg this was the bomb! It will be cooked in front of you! It taste like paella but so much better! KABAYAKI: omg the seabass is sweet as if you are not eating a fish! DONBURI: even though the daikon soup is just a little bit, the wagyu don is soo good! Service was fast, taking away our plates before we were even done chewing. Didn't mind it too much but it did feel a little rushed.“

There was a nice portion of salmon roe/ikura included with the donburi, as well as a small side salad. I think for the price, it'll be hard to beat this quality. The dishes were no longer always explained beautifully. That's a real shame, especially when it comes to the chef's work. You would have to take this time because it is not exactly standard sushi. The creations require explanation to be fully enjoyed. You didn't notice anything about the quality of the food. These were still at the highest level. My recommendation: one to two more people in service or otherwise accept fewer reservations. The noise level was also unpleasantly high because of all the people.That's why now only 4 instead of 5 stars.September 2023We were here for dinner. I recommend a reservation. The server on our last visit was downright surly; she really seemed like she did not want to be there at all and spent most of the evening ignoring us. It was dusk, all the lights and signage were turned off, tables and chairs were stacked out front and a large pile of cardboard recycling was waiting to be picked up. After everything she expected me to pay them something for her F ups . I don’t think so. I reverse the charges. They need to put someone else on the phone to take delivery orders on the phone.“
