“love this sushi place. always very fresh sushi, and you can truly sample a large variety of things since a lot of rolls are offered as half of a portion for less money on the conveyor belt. you can still order full size rolls, though. best sushi in rochester for sure- it’s delicious- don’t skip out on the volcano roll, amazing roll, and spicy tuna roll- the salmon and tuna are super fresh and delicious. for apps and entrees, i really recommend the kani salad which is perfect, the miso soup which is always flavorful and hot, any variety of udon, and the steak teriyaki which is cooked perfectly and is soft and super flavorful. be aware that they do not except reservations and on friday-sunday nights it does get very packed and there will be around a 30 minute wait.“
“It was our first time dining in Nosh, We loved the location, tucked in a corner of downtown Rochester NY, easy parking, no traffic, the restaurant was like a warehouse style, the sound echoes back big time, so inside the restaurant there was big noise pollution. The waitress was good, the food was good too. A drink , cowboy hat or something, paired well with my seafood, a coincidence. It was two birthday celebrations. First time experience, reservation, required a deposit of $ 200, my , my my. Overall a good place to dine.“
“I came here for pho and it did not disappoint. The soup was very good and the portions were generous. Prices were also lower than other places I've gotten pho. Would definitely come back for the pho. I also got the fresh spring rolls and they were very disappointing. The peanut sauce was good but the rolls were very bland and lacking in ingredients. I wouldn't get them again. The staff were friendly but too attentive. We were checked on no less than six times during our meal. It's nice to be checked on but this was a tad excessive as patrons usually want to eat their meal with minimal interruption. I will definitely be back though.“
“This spot is the sole spot in town offering dine-in Dim Sum. I'm crossing my fingers for Rochester to revive the push-cart Dim Sum. Here, the Dim Sum is massive, succulent, and oh-so-tasty. Prices are fair, service is top-notch, English communication is smooth sailing, and they go beyond Dim Sum with an extensive menu. From tripe to pork stomach to chicken feet, they've got all the Chinese delicacies covered. Absolutely smitten with this place!“
“Best customer service ever! My husband and I were delivering a load close to Tai Chi Bubble Tea, so I made him drive his truck to this place, and it was well worth it! The girls were so lovely and patient. I wanted to try something different, and she recommended the brown sugar flavor, but I didn't like the bubble. She was so nice; she allowed me to try a different bubble, and then she remade my drink with that bubble. We were delivering from NJ, and that’s not the type of customer service you get in NJ. I was grateful for their outstanding customer service.“
“I recently moved to Rochester and have been looking for a good place to get Spicy Miso that is comparable to Sato Ramen in Buffalo NY. Unfortunately this was not it. They did however have a delicious Chicken Poke Bowl. I was disappointed that they did not have any traditional sushi.“
“I heard about this place via Tiktok all the way over here in Seattle and decided we had to try it while in Rochester, NY.We went to tons of restaurants while over there but this was our hands down favorite. The place is tiny and designed for takeout so dont complain about it when you review about it! But man, the poke bowls, garbage plates, the sushi... so so good.5 stars.“
“I have been a huge fan of this restaurant. The food is just great. Definitely suggest if you have never been there get the chicken and steak teriyaki..just amazing. Prices are fair and the amount of food you get is enough for two meals.Vegetarian options: I have tried the tofu teriyaki, has a really good taste.“
“Wonderful as always. Fantastic pork broth, yummy hibachi and hubby loved pork BBQ sandwich. Waiter was awesome and handled the entire restaurant with a relaxed and unrushed feel. Food was ready quickly.Kid-friendliness: Kids were welcome and loved the soup.“
“Got two house banh-mis which were delicious. The total was a little over $17 but worth it as the sandwiches are filling (I took half of one home). They have a cute high top where you can sit and look at plants which is clever since the window faces the parking lot (plenty of parking). Would “
“Haven’t had New Ming in a couple of years, mainly because I hate trying to find parking on or around Monroe. Today we had a family emergency and needed something quick, and New Ming was on GrubHub.Happy to report the food is still just as good as the last time we had it: some nice low-level heat to the Sesame Chicken (I know; we’re basic); egg rolls are large, flavorful, and have a nice crunch; and the steamed pork dumplings are tasty and not under-stuffed. Portions are a little smaller than we’re used to, but plenty large enough for dinner, just not leftovers the next day, and I’ll take it for food that isn’t totally bland.Best of all, learned they do their own delivery within 3 miles, saving you from the dreaded delivery dump of cold food in containers with condensation. Will definitely put them back in our regular rotation as soon as life is back to normal!“
“Today will be my last time eating at Shui.I’m giving 5 stars because Shui has always been a fantastic place in Rochester to get Thai food. I’ve been going here since they had a place on Main St downtown probably about 5 years ago.Unfortunately, they got rid of 2 of my favorite dishes in Thai Curry section. I was told they were coming back. They never did.Today, I noticed that the quality of beef has diminished significantly, but prices went up. Can’t stand when restaurants do this.Farewell Shui! :(“
“Yummy Garden is an excellent Hot Pot experience. The server we had was absolutely wonderful and extremely attentive. The hot pot was astounding. I personally had the spicy pot and it was flavorful and soaked perfectly into all of the ingredients I had to cook. I brought two friends who had never had hot pot before and the staff was very helpful in suggesting options for them for a first time broth as well as how to cook the food. My personal favorite touch was there are two signs, one that had a sauce suggestion chart and another that has a time suggestion for cooking each ingredient in your hot pot. I highly recommend this for anyone who is curious about hot pot or has had hot pot before and looking for an enjoyable experience.“
“I had a great experience while eating at Sogo Sushi & Hibachi. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I ordered a California roll, and I had chicken and steak hibachi meal, and everything was cooked to perfection and to my liking. I will definitely be stopping by again.“
“Go here. Right now. Just cancel whatever food plans you had, and order from here. From their amazing pho, to their rice noodle dishes, to their Thai dishes, EVERYTHING they make is just amazing. On a cold and wintery and snowy Rochester night, a huge bowl of their pho, its steaming rich broth, fresh veggies, and spicy sauces, is just the perfect way to warm up. And in the summer time, their spring rolls and rice vermicelli bowls are the perfect way to beat the heat, and make a perfect bag of picnic munchies to devour on a blanket in Cobbs Hill Park.I have been going here since they opened many years ago. This is where I had my first pho, where I first dipped a spring roll in too much Sriracha, and where I get food for my friends and family before a picnic at Pride each summer. I love you SEA Restaurant. Never change.“
