“Stopped by for a late lunch. Menu was interesting and tasty. I particularly liked that the food came to the table as it was cooked, resulting in a hot, fresh to the table meal. While everything was very good, the scallion pancake was amazing and the sweet & sour fish was a particularly nice treat!“
“The pork bone ramen here doesn’t taste like traditional Tonkotsu but it is still flavorful and rich. The spicy one is quite spicy, which is a surprise given that most restaurants I’ve gone to in this area tend to adjust to the local’s tastes, which usually means less spicy. The pork bone component of the ramen though doesn't taste very strong. The non spicy version seems to have a focus in pork rather than pork bone in terms of the flavor. Meat is a bit thin but quite good, egg is great, noodles - i chose wavy, it is good also. Other add ons are also interesting choices but mostly good. The only complaint would be the broth not being the traditional flavor but it is still good.“
“I was worried that after moving into the city I wouldn't be able to find a place with chinese like at home. After an exhaustive search for good Chinese, we found Chang Lung. This has been our favorite spot for 2 years now. First things first: The food here is great! I order the sesame chicken and I think its the best we've tried. No matter what time of day you call there's a good chance you'll be put on a brief hold because they are that busy. Wait time is about 20 minutes after your order is placed. 30 if its the busy hour. They do not deliver, but the food is worth the drive. They also consistently stuff the to go containers with generous helpings of what you ordered. And the food is well packaged, without leaks or spills and honestly it was so pretty when I took it out of the bag I had to take this picture of it! If your regular chinese place is 'OK', I recommend giving Chang Lung a chance. They are epic!“
“Our favorite takeout restaurant in town. Always hot, fresh, and huge portions even when I pick up late night on my way home from work.Even when I don't grab food on my way home, we will drive 20 minutes out of our way to order from here vs somewhere on our side of town.“
“This is a carry-out, so don't expect a sit-down-and-dine experience. The food is really, really, really good! Our household is vegetarian, and both the previous and current owners have adapted their dishes to our needs. The veg is just fresh as hell and everything is cooked to perfection (tender, a little crisp, **NEVER** overcooked). The flavors range from "suitable for an American palate" to "Schezuan so spicy I sweat," I just need to specify when I order. The prior and current owners are really thoughtful and kind: I think this may well be the best Chinese carry-out in Rochester.I'm really glad I'm a regular - they've done incredibly well by me.“
“The food here was so good! I definitely recommend doing takeout since it's a one man shop and the food can take a little bit of time. However, the wait is well worth it! The flavors are simple and delicious and these are hands down some of the best noodles I have ever had. They are thick, with the perfect bite. Definitely a hidden gem.“
“This place has delicious food. Fast service and they are always polite. This is the only place that I go to for my sesame chicken. They make it perfect!! (Which is hard to find). If u have never eaten here before u are definitely missing out!“
“The fried rice is incredible and doesn't make you feel ugh afterwards. The crab rangoon was incredible and great price 50 cents per piece with 12 in an order!!! I had the pepper steak and onion combo plate and it was incredible. tender steak ..perfectly cooked onions!!! and that sauce was out of this world!!!! The rest of my family agrees it's the best chinese food they have had in a while!!! I will definitely be back!!!!“
“I have always told him that I don't eat a lot at Restaurante Chinos, butThere are times when I go with family and they like it, so I take them. Rice is nothing I'm used to. The fried wings for me were the most I liked and the shrimp with broccoli ? in spicy sauce were good. But the dishes are very expensive, to leave without fries and soda. Very expensive.“
“Id give them a 10 star We had a fairly large order and the food was fresh and very delicious . They did not forget 1 thing , even extra requests were filled Food ontime and hot too . They had all personal protection on during this Pandemic and very polite . This will now be our new Chinese Restaurant to go to Thank you so much for excellent service :)“
“We absolutely LOVE China Star! The food is wonderful, the speed of service is eminently satisfactory, and the prices are most reasonable. If you're looking for Chinese food in the 19th Ward, China Star is the ONLY restaurant worth thinking about!Kid-friendliness: The nice man that owns China Star is always so patient with our autistic Cub when she's ordering or asking questions about a menu item.“
“This place got five stars for what it is decent cheap Chinese food. If you are offended by a restaurant that has faded signs and tape on the counter, it is probably not the place for you Karen. If you want decent American Chinese food really fast, eat here. If you want Michelin Star food maybe go someplace else, always basic b's giving people bad reviews...Hey Becky, it's a take out Chinese business wtf are talking about, go back to the suburbs with your gentrified expectations...My only complaint is, I wish they had more vegetarian options for my whiny a$$ partner so I can eat here more.“
“I have been a huge fan of this restaurant. The food is just great. Definitely suggest if you have never been there get the chicken and steak teriyaki..just amazing. Prices are fair and the amount of food you get is enough for two meals.Vegetarian options: I have tried the tofu teriyaki, has a really good taste.“
“Had a nice lunch there. Spicy shredded beef and Sesame chicken both with brown rice and a delicious hot and sour soup. Fairly large portions and prices were not high. I've eaten here several times and had periods when I liked it and other times not so much. Based on our last meal we will definitely return. Service was also great.“
“My go to Chinese since I was a kid! My favorite dish is the simple chicken wing with pork fried rice and load it with their boss sauce on top. I also like their chicken with garlic sauce, pepper steak, and seafood delight! Not in the best of neighborhood. It has gotten it better over the years though.Friendly owner and workers. For the same cost of a combo from a fast food restaurants, I'll take this any day.“
“We walked in for a to-go order, it was very clean and not that busy. After ordering a side of rice and two main dishes as well as some egg rolls and crab Rangoon (more like coin purses) the order came to 75$, which felt like it was really expensive. When we got back to our hotel room to eat, it didn’t seem expensive with the amount of food we had. The side of rice we ordered , which was house fried, had jumbo shrimp pieces in it and was a full container. We also didn’t realize the side of rice that came with our sesame chicken was going to be a full size carton as well. For three adults we were all able to have two plates full of food and still have leftovers. The quality of the food was amazing and it’s the best sesame chicken I have ever had, my go to for Chinese food. It was slightly spicy but not super spicy and in a slightly thinner sauce than what I’m used to but it was delicious.Anyone staying in the area should definitely try this out. I am sure the lunch specials they have make the prices drop, we were just an hour late from missing them sadly.“
“Picked up a lunch order of king po chicken and steamed dumplings. It was ready quickly and the order was accurate. At just under $16, I feel it is a great value for hot, delish food. I will be back.Pretty standard takeout Chinese restaurant on the inside with the faded picture menus. There is a table inside but I'm not sure if it's available for customer use or even if you'd want to use it if it was. It is a bit tight getting in and out of the parking lot. There are lots of businesses around there and Dewey can be busy. The location is what it is and it's still worth going if you ask me but you might go for delivery if that's an option.“
“I love Min's. I work around the corner and get food from here all the time. The staff are super friendly and the food is consistent and always delicious. The neighborhood is not the greatest, but who cares the, food is great and so are the people.“
“First time I've ordered from this place and I'm really happy with it! Got it delivered and it arrived seven minutes before the estimated time. My food was hot and fresh and cooked perfectly. The crab rangoons were just the way I like them - the crunch to soft ratio was right on and they had good amount of filling. The Happy Family was delicious too. The veggies were super fresh. I'll definitely be ordering from New Kingdom again!“
“My first trip to the new location and I was very happy with the atmosphere! The food was excellent as usual. Very fast service the food was fresh and sooo tasty! Def try the hot sauce on the table- you won’t regret it. Prices are very reasonable. I’ll def be back for more authentic cuisine. I just wish I lived closer.Dietary restrictions: They are accommodating to vegan diets.“
“Unbelievable - Just had the Pad Thai shrimp, quite possibly the best I've ever had. Flavor was awesome. I had it in the fridge over night and reheated for lunch...perfect. Everything i have ordered from here is always delicious and fresh. Great Chinese restaurant.“
“No frills takeout place. I actually walked in because the food smelled so good from the outside as I was walking to the Dollar Tree next door. Service was great, no difficulties communicating with staff, and the food was better than expected at a good price point. They have a few menu items not typical of American Chinese food that I’m curious to try in the near future. Will definitely go again.“
“I got qt size (large) fried rice with chicken. It was really good. I would give them 5 stars but their location and lack of parking is very inconvenient. Only 1 car can park at their parking spot. And you have to really maneuver yourself out to get out.“
“I have yet to have any dish that is not great there! True Dim Sum, fresh food items made to order. Wonderful staff! Had salt/pepper squid, shrimp dumplings, shu mai, beef tripe and eggplant with shrimp! We drive there from North Country in Central NY because Syracuse doesn’t have authentic Dim Sun!“
