“Absolutely love this place. One of my favorite meals recently. Service is so warm and the food is divine. Mama Lee herself brought us a few of the dishes! Three cup chicken and sweet and sour fish were my favorites. And the complimentary chicken and radish soup washes everything down. Def come with friends to get a variety of dishes. Will definitely return!“

“I saw this place on instagram and added it to my bucket list. My husband and I traveled from Atlanta just to try The Monkey King. The atmosphere is comfortable and laid back. Our waiter was accommodating and made us feel like we were seating in VIP. We met the owner Mike. He was professional and was grateful for us traveling to Brooklyn New York to try his restaurant. The taste from each dish blew us away from the concocted herbs and spices. We will definitely return.“

“2024 update:I take back what I said below. They updated the mapo tofu dish with soft tofu. I gave this place another chance and it’s actually an amazing restaurant with so many flavorful dishes. Still one of only TWO true Szechuan restaurants in Brooklyn.I just came here during the day for the first time yesterday, and it was such a nice vibe to sit in the restaurant with the sunlight. Very cute vibe, no loud music, and friendly attentive staff. The best way to judge a good sechuan place is by their Mapo Tofu dish. This place uses firm tofu in theirs and the sauce is very off. Very disappointing and not authentic. If I can’t get a good Mapo Tofu somewhere then it is pretty much a deal breaker for me.“

“Finally got to try this new restaurant in my neighborhood, I had heard it recently changed from Vegetarian/Vegan to 100% Vegan so I was extra excited about supporting a local vegan restaurant. We ordered takeaway to bring over to a friends gathering and the host did an outstanding job on guiding me to the items that would travel the best. We ordered the Black Truffle Fried Rice, Dry Mushroom Fried String Beans, Black Pepper Sausage, Deep-Fried Mushrooms w/ Salt & Pepper, Dried Chili Beyond Chicken and a Stir-Fried Spicy & Sour Shredded Potato... It was ALL delicious, we loved everything we ordered. If I had to pick favorites I'd have to say the Truffle Fried Rice, Dry Mushroom Fried String Beans, Deep-Fried Mushrooms and the Dried Chili Beyond Chicken was a big hit too but you couldn't go wrong ordering any of the above! The vegan Orange Juice egg on the sausage dish was so unique! We didn't take any photos because it wouldn't have done the food justice. Inside the restaurant looks beautiful, it's sure to be an elevated and serene dining experience, I look forward to eating in soon!“

“Liked the food a lot, it was fresh and very tasty! We ordered the sesame cold noodles, garlic Chinese eggplant, salt and pepper tofu and vegan made weeping tiger salad. Honestly each dish was better than the other, right amount of spice and was light. The atmosphere was kind of dive bar-y which was pretty nice. The prices were a bit high in my opinion though. The service wasn’t very good. Our server wasn’t very knowledgeable about the menu as we were asking her questions about it. She brought the check right after we finished our food without asking if we needed anything else which I found it very odd and sloppy! Maybe she was new…“

“It had been a long time since I'd been excited about Chinese food, but dining at Noodle Lane on a recent Sunday evening changed that completely. This is damn good food- intensely flavorful, surprising, beautifully presented. We have eaten take-out from Noodle Lane several times and always enjoyed- particularly the soup dumplings- which have to be tried to be believed- but dining in the restaurant made the food taste even more delicious. Along with dumplings and our noodle favorites- we tried two dishes that were new-to-us: Mala Dry Pot with shrimp, and Pickled Fish Sichuan Style. Mala Dry Pot was chock full of things I love- crunch from cauliflower and veg, tofu, sesame, and a delicious sauce, despite the word "dry" in the dish name. The Pickled Fish was unlike anything I've ever had- tart and spicy at the same time, but not too hot, so that the flavors shone through. We had a side of green and fresh seasonal veg and enjoyed a nice Gruner Veltliner with the meal- cooling and bright paired with the bold flavors. Throughout the evening, the service was professional and warm, though the staff was hopping with lots of tables filled and lots of take-out orders being prepared. We were near the kitchen- which has a big window to see where the magic takes place- in a cozy corner. Noodle Lane is such a great addition to the neighborhood- though also worth coming to from afar. The interior is bright and modern but also cozy; a comfortable space for a gathering of two or three friends; and also nice for families. Our kid loves the food! We enjoyed the neighborliness of the restaurant and seeing people we knew, having a short-but-sweet conversation before they left. Our experience dining at Noodle Lane came at the end of an incredibly busy period and it was so nice to simply sit back, relax, and be treated to amazing food. You should come treat yourselves, too!“

“We had a WONDERFUL time at Mala Project this week. Our server, Kyle, was extremely helpful in recommending ‘must haves’ for our appetizers, dry pot and, of course, drinks. We planned for only a quick bite to eat, but the atmosphere was so welcoming, we ordered more drinks and hung out for a while. Highly recommend this restaurant!“

“20% off when you pay in cash but they ask for 5 star review… We went here for my dad’s birthday. He loved the variety of foods they had and we didn’t have to drive all the way to Flushing or Manhattan. It’s a big place with tons of choices and relatively fresh food.I just thought it was a little weird that they buy some of their reviews. We chose this place because of reviews so when they asked for 5 stars on google in order for that 20% off to apply it just felt a little manipulative and a little awkward… but the places is actually pretty good and I saw a lot families excited to be there and my dad had a good time.I had to come back here and re-edit my review and give the community the honesty it deserves.Kid-friendliness: Tons of options for kids.“

“We were looking for a place to celebrate our daughter’s first birthday. We live in Manhattan and needed a place where we could host up to 80 people with easy parking and good food. All of the usual ideas weren’t cutting it for us so my father-in-law who lives in Woodmere suggested Jackie’s place as an option. My wife was a little hesitant at first. I think she had her mind made up with some of the more traditional options like an ice cream parlor or room somewhere with catering. But her father and Jackie talked some more and sent her pictures of the location and the idea of hosting here grew on her.Jackie had never hosted this kind of party but he and my wife worked out the details in terms of setting up a buffet, the right cost per person, the time (on Feb 10, Chinese New Year) and the decorations. Everyone was a little nervous, including her father who kind of felt like he set us up on a blind date: we hadn’t had the food or actually visited the place.Cut to the party and it wound up being absolutely amazing in every regard. My biggest concern was the food. My family loves Chinese and who knew it would be so delicious. I knew the other details would be fine in the end and people being together would make the party fine regardless, but bad food would have been trouble. Not only was the food not bad, it was truly Delicious! We had trays of dumplings, spring rolls, cold sesame noodles (often tough to get good ones but not here!), Sesame chicken, pork chow fun, shrimp with vegetables, lo meins, fried rices, Mongolian beef, and lots more. We figured we would have food to take home and were shocked at just how little left overs there were. And this was not due to lack of volume but instead to how much everyone ate.I could say lots more about Jackie’s first time hosting an affair like this, and about him as a host, and about the party being so successful. But bottom lines are these:1. If hosting a kid’s birthday or other such event at a Chinese restaurant wasn’t a thing, it should be now2. Call Jackie to host your next event. You won’t be sorry3. Come any time for a meal or takeout. If Delicis was in downtown Manhattan, it would be insanely popularThanks Jackie and Delicis staff for your time, communication and amazing food. Hoping you start hosting events like ours more frequently!“

“everything was excellent! I had a tremendous lunch with my wife for $11.99 per person. When you enter you go to the buffet and take a plastic snack (there you will see them on the buffet), you can take as much as you want until the food is full and "it can close well.", then you pay and that's it! only $11.99 per (person/meal).I HOW did you hear! and I was fine! ??I fully recommend this place! It is fine and economical and you eat very tasty!“

“Overall rating: 4.5I didn’t realize this was a chain when I visited. Clean area and nice service. Not a place to sit down, but rather to go. I had the Szechuan braised beef and it is SPICY. I wasn’t prepared how spicy. On the first day, the broth just tasted like hot water. It was missing the flavor or fullness of broth. But on the second day, I added some soy and a few other Asian spices & it got so much better. Surprisingly day 2 was better than day 1. I could come back to try another, less spicy dish, if I’m in the area.Definitely more a lunch to-go spot, than anything else. Recommend giving it a try.“

“Great local Chinese spot in the neighborhood. I ordered my food for pickup and it was ready within 5 minutes. The food is made to go, and smells delicious. For takeout, the food is delicious once served at home. Still very hot, and you can tell it's freshly made. The lady behind the counter is very nice and friendly, and always has a smile. Unfortunately, don't go unless you have cash in hand. They don't take Cards.“

“Wife and I had dinner here to celebrate our 15 year anniversary. And we really enjoyed our meal and drinks. We started with the steamed pork buns, which we really enjoyed so much we devoured before I got a pic taken. The egg foo young was delicious, loaded with pork and vegetables. The gravy was very flavorful and not overly heavy compared to take out spots. The breaded shrimp was excellent as well, the shrimp fresh. And the pork fried rice was great, loaded well with pork and veggies and egg. The service was really quick and the staff very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is very cozy, all the tables have flags of different latin countries which I found really cool. And I love the giant pilón by the counter. The drinks were really good, had the piña colada with rum and the Mrs a nice Chardonnay. The place was quiet which we enjoyed but saw a few folks doing takeout along with delivery workers from popular apps so that tells us the restaurant is very popular. Check it out, prices are very reasonable and the portions are great.“

“Great chinese food. Much better than the average takeout place, for only a few bucks more. They charge extra 1$ for rice unlike alot of places and dont give any sort of crispy wontons to start which would be nice but the dishes taste very very good and for that reason i keep returning.“

“Visited from Las Vegas and decided to visit this place recommended by a local and I am so glad we decided to go. This place is a whole vibe. They had a live DJ who knew what he was doing and made sure he had us jamming along with his tunes. He was great! Our bartended Tony was, to say the least outstanding! He immediately greeted us when we walked in the door and was engaging in conversation with us the entire night. He was friendly, in a great mood, and smiling the entire time! I would personally just visit this this place JUST for Tony.Mr. Less, the gem with no name on the building, no menu, ton of board games, good vibes, great music, and great customer service. If you’re looking with a homey spot with a vibe, I definitely recommend this place. I can feel how much pride Tony takes into caring for this joint and making sure all his customer are happy. “I work nearby so my coworkers and I order from here often, about once a week or so. We prefer this takeout restaurant over the other ones in the area. I usually order by phone and so far, never got an incorrect order. That's always a plus! I believe that the one who answers the phone is also the main cook. Since it's often a one man show, please remember to be patient and kind. My usual go to is the Sesame Chicken Lunch Special with a side of Coke! The flavor is always consistent and delicious. My workplace ordered a tray of Fried Chicken and Lo Mein a few times over the past few years and it was just what staff needed. I did see that they also sell fresh fruits in a container (pineapple and watermelon) for about $2. The price is very cheap compared to the other Chinese takeout places that I've visited. I will continue ordering from here as long as I work nearby!“

“Amazing food all around. Had the sweet corn soup and samosa chaat as starters, and they were both really good. The samosa chaat had the right spice level!Veg Hakka noodles is the main I got while my partner got Singapore noodles with shrimp. The Hakka noodles were perfection in texture, not oily, not soggy, just right and very generous portions too. Needed a little bit of salt but that's easily fixed and I'd rather have less salt in a dish than too much!Partner said the shrimp was cooked beautifully in their noodles and was very flavourful.Had the ras Malai for dessert and it was really good too. As previous reviews have mentioned, Tanveer was an excellent server and was very sweet and helpful. The restaurant is very clean, has really good table settings and overall the atmosphere is cosy for a dine in. “I get take out from Miss Noodle often and it *never* disappoints. My standard order is wonton in chili oil, braised beef noodle soup, and my absolute favorite egg and milk in fermented rice wine. “Classic NY Chinese. Their specials are great, and affordable. They have huge portions for the price and are always reliable for a satisfying meal. The staff is also very nice, and they get the food out quickly. Spots like these are absolutely vital to our neighborhoods, and are some of the few remaining deals for comfort food I grew up eating. The only issue is, all the different delivery apps can slow the workers down with orders, showing proof, etc. Just call your order in while walking over and it'll be ready in 10 minutes.“

“Tried Golden Sands Cafe for lunch today. I'd say it's a pretty good place for Dim Sum - affordable prices & the food tastes similar to Manhattan's Dim Sum restaurants (although admittedly that's where you'll find the best selection). Three and a half stars, really. One unique feature worth mentioning - the restaurant has a bakery that offers a large selection of items, including freshly baked Chinese buns. I tried one of the bakery items - the Raisin Twist Bun. Big bun but not really to my taste (dry). It was $2.75 plus tax- a pretty good deal for NYC.“

“Quick, efficient, and delicious. Exactly what I wanted for a Chinese food fix. The fried shrimp dumplings are outstanding. The egg drop soup was hot and peppery with tons of egg. Everything was served up super hot and fresh as soon as I arrived. I live a short 10 mins walk away. The menu prices have almost doubled from the menus you see here on yelp, so keep that in mind and bring enough cash. What I thought was going to cost $10.50, cost $18, but it's enough food for 2 nights so I'm not complaining. Didn't have the pleasure of being served by Sue.
