“Great Italian deli. Good for lunch but if I had one complaint is that they give you way too much food! When we get this at work for lunch, I have to plan it as a two day meal. But I will say, their catering blows away any other catering place. You order a tray of chicken francaise or parmigiana and you get more chicken than you could ever expect. They do not short change you on the amount of food they give you. But add to that, it's outstanding! The catering here is unbeatable! Trust me when I tell you, next family party, get it catered here. We make it part of our day to take a walk and always stop in for a snack or a sandwhich. Sam and his wife are lovely, friendly people and always make a fuss over the babies. The store is immaculate and the Korean food is not to be missed. The Bulgogi hero is my favorite go to sandwhich....Highly recommend !“

“The hot Chopped Cheese hoagie is very, very good. The best that I have had on Long Island. Staff are kind and friendly. Open late; which is always great, but remember that it's in the West End of Long Beach, which has more locations serving booze into the wee hours than Burning Man, and so things can get dicey down on Beech Street after 10 pm. But the Chopped Cheese is worth it.“

“This store is amazingly clean & well preserved. It looks like you walked into a deli from 1969. Its spotless. Its deli case is filled with all types of delicious food. I got a pastrami on rye w/ fries. Its pretty good pastrami. In my opinion its not made on site. Its a pastrami brisket ordered from a provisions company & maybe steamed in the back. It just does not have that fall apart real kosher deli pastrami texture. That being said its very flavorful sandwitch. I definetly enjoyed it. I give the pastrami a 7/10“

“My husband and I stopped here a couple weeks ago on a trip to visit family. I was 8 weeks pregnant at the time and struggling with morning sickness. I got a breakfast sandwich here and I have not been able to stop thinking about it since, it was that good. The bagel was fresh and toasted perfectly, the eggs were cooked to perfection, not burn even with a tiny about of runny yolk remaining. The bacon was melt in your mouth delicious without crumbling into your lap. My husband got a sub sandwich and he said it was better than his favorite deli from his hometown. I think we will make this a regular stop. I highly recommend.“

“Deli Boy has excellent sandwiches. Uses Boars Head products. Salads are fresh and tasty. The cucumber salad is terrific. Can call ahead and place order. Convenient. Cash or credit card. Also great for bf. Their egg on a roll is fantastic with coffee. Which they also serve. The one drawback is parking. They are on a corner and there is only street parking and not too much. Tough at times to get a spot. But the food is consistent and excellent. Worth the effort to park.“

The potatoes are big pieces, mushy and pretty bland… because they are such large chunks they don’t get enough of the seasoning distribution you’d get if you chopped them up small and made them crispy.The people who work here are very nice, and they also keep a surprising stock of groceries and decent beers (though kinda pricey).“

All delicious but my favorite has to be the carnitas, and this is mostly because the owners wife makes the pork from pork shoulder and she's Dominican so she makes it as pernil which I grew up eating and it's my favorite rendition of pork. So it's fair to say that I've been here like 3 times in the past month and a half after finding this spot ? but it's bc in all honesty these are some of the best tacos in the area (Elmont/valley stream) and especially the best carnitas (pork) tacos in the area. We can try and compare other spots, but I promise you it's just your pride lol if we are talking Elmont this is the spot. Very authentic and the portions are crazy, I can throw down but I'm good with 4-5 tacos. Tbh once you go into 5-6 you're gonna be in the food baby territory of fullness, just get a Jarrito for the bevy and you'll be golden beloved.“
