“The service was immaculate. Ana did a fantastic job at giving us a great experience. It was our first time here and she was attentive, kind, and fun! At the end she let us spin the wheel to win a prize and I got a free soda, but I was a little bummed because I wanted to win a free shot, but she gave me it anyways! Not just the service, but the food was actually really good. It is a lowkey place, but with great food with great portions for a fair price. The drinks were definitely potent as well. We ordered the arepas for 2 that came with nachos, colombian hot dog, premium steak fries that came with a fire show, sangria, and a modelo. “Ate here with my family and everything was delicious. We did not have reservations, but the hostess Joann was very accommodating and found us a table. She was super kind and gave great recommendations. For apps we had calamari and meatballs. Both good, meatballs melts in your mouth with the perfect dab of fresh ricotta. It was pizza night for us, so we tried three: hot honey pepperoni, vodka sauce margarita, and spicy meatballs with peppers. I'm a pizza connoisseur and it hit all the right taste buds. Having said that, I do, however, believe in good reviews so here goes. I feel like this restaurant is one of the best pizzeria/Italian restaurants that I've ever been to. Aside from the courteous staff and the excellent service, the food is amazing. You can't go wrong with anything that you order. We've been here quite a few times and never had a bad experience. We ordered different things every time and the food seems to be getting better and better. Just an excellent experience overall. Besides all that, the place is very inviting and very clean. Shout out to the staff and owner for making us feel like it was worth it to come all the way from Queens on a Friday night during lent. One of our favorite places by far. I can't tell you which was the best because they were all amazing. “Solid pizza and ingredients. We ordered a Grandma pie and a few slices of white and eggplant+ricotta. The marinara and cheese on the grandma were good. The grandma is also 12 slices which is a nice bump in size compared to other shops which make 9 slices pies. My only knock on their pizza is the crust. It tastes like a low protein/gluten content flour, almost like all purpose or maybe a little cake flour mixed in. So it's not as chewy as I think pizza crust should be. That said, it's still got a solid crispy layer.“
“I was at John's Pizzeria on a Sunday with Scott's Pizza Tours. We were pretty much the only ones there. We got to try the Sicilian. This place is the epitome of New York neighborhood pizza place. The décor is straight out of the 1960s when they probably opened. They probably own the building. It's a mother and daughter hand rolling the dough and doing absolutely everything. I'm sure they're doing it exactly the same way they've been doing it for the last 50+ years. Happy to see them survive and have a little social media presence. They aren't doing a lot of things here but what they do they do well.“
