“On the waterfront, next to the ballpark, attached to the Empire Outlet parking lot is a fabulous Taiwanese bakery. Portions are individually wrapped and beautifully executed and absolutely delicious. I had green tea for the first time there this week and I’m reeling everyone to go. Fantastic drink for the fast ferry ride. Yum.“

“Consistently my favorite cookie shop, they make the best rainbow cookies (each individually coated in chocolate.) The brownies are great if you want a chocolate fix, I especially love the salted caramel brownies. They also have great hamentashen and Italian cookies if you want something lighter.I haven't found anything here that I haven't loved except maybe the cookie/brownie. I prefer brownies to be gooey and chewy, while I prefer chocolate chip cookies to be thin and crispy. When you combine them you get something that's neither and it just doesn't do it for me (though if these types of combos are your thing I hear they're very good here.)“
“The bagels here are really good and worth what you pay for. They get very busy, so we usually order on their website and it's ready when we get there. The people there are really nice and friendly. Though the store is a bagel shop, they do offer a variety of other food items. I've tried their breakfast platter with egg, toast, and home fries but it was a disappointment.“

They took the order, they even helped me with the design and picking out the type of filling. They called me back before making the cake to double check on the details. The woman that I spoke to was very friendly, by the time I got off the phone I felt like we knew each other for years. The cake was beautiful. The cake was delicious. It was a big success! The batter is light and buttery in a special way that makes me want to return again and again. I tried at least a dozen. And they all had something different to offer but they all were consistently delicious.There is a wide variety, so there is something for every taste at a reasonable price.I loved the decor at both places. There is so much charm in the details, so take your time looking around.If you're on a budget, they offer day old pastries so you can try them for less.I highly recommend this place! “Since moving to Staten Island, I've been missing soft, savory fresh Mexican bread to no avail. Cross the bridge each time to Brooklyn was getting expensive. I drove past Veronicas and the simple authentic Mexican designed mural outside caught my eye. It's no secret most business will have all these colorful murals to show the Mexican culture but the simple mural Veronicas has is more or less what a typical business in Mexico will look like. I'm so glad I got a spot in front and went in. It's super tight and not as big as most bakeries in Brooklyn. But don't let that stop you- please support this business because it was hard enough finding a good bakery amongst the many nearby that actually carries good quality. The few pieces they have are clearly made with quality and love. Each bite takes me back to when I was younger and would visit my cousins and was sent to get bread for the evening snack. This place is as authentic as it gets and the sweet ppl running it are sooo hospitable. Each piece of bread was like 1.25 or 1.50 or 2 and change. Depending on the bread. I bought a couple of them and shared it with my mom and sister and they also agreed- this place is our new bakery. Across the street is a store jammed packed with Mexican goodies/ tortillas/ candy etc. Next day bread still soft and delicious ! Thank you“

“THE BEST OF THE BEST! Vincent literally has hands of magic!!! I hired Vin to make my wedding cake in July at Nanina's in the Park, and from start to finish, it was such a pleasure to work with him! He is sooo funny, personable, professional, impressive, talented, and passionate about what he does. We started out by having a consultation so he could get an idea of what I wanted... he called this a "design concept meeting" where we spoke about different ideas for the cake, color schemes to match our florals, our budget, and how many people it would need to feed. He showed my husband and I pictures to give us different ideas he had for us, and he hit the nail on the head with what we wanted. We then had another meeting as it got closer to taste different favors and combos to see what we wanted flavor wise... and one thing I'll say about his cakes... is that they TASTE PHENOMENAL and soooo fresh! Literally everybody at my wedding was in awe with how amazing and fresh the cake was... it really does taste as good as it looks.
